- A tax is imposed by the city: EUR 2.1 per person, per night for guests 16 and older and EUR 1.05 per person, per night for guests aged 10-15 years old. This tax does not apply to residents of Venice City. Further exemptions may apply, subject to submission of proper documents to the property, to patients, their companions and people staying in the city for specific purposes/duties. The tax only applies to the first 5 nights of a stay, and is collected at the property in cash. 50% reduction applies for 2011: from 1 November to 4 December and 12 to 22 December and for 2012: from 9 January to 3 February, 23 February to 31 March, 1 November to 2 December and 10 to 22 December.

The hotel Belevedere is found in a great location of Lido because it is directly across the street from the Vaporetti stop. It is 10 minutes away from St. Mark's Square by boat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious.

We loved Hotel Belvedere! We had one of the many rooms that look out over the Vaporetto stand, water, St. Marks and sunsets. The view is lovely. The area is busy- which we love, but it is somewhat noisy. The room and shower/toilet area is a comfortable size. The area has many interesting shops and restaurants. The attached restaurant is good- especially the seafood- and very friendly and accommodating. St Marks is only 10 minutes by Vaporetto. Murano and Torcello are also easily accessed from the hotel. The staff is very kind.

Beautifully situated - we had a view straight across the Lagoon to the Campanile of Saint Mark's. We were right by the ferry station, so it was easy to get to the city and the airport. Plenty of pleasant and reasonable restaurants around - a lively area, but not noisy.
