Hotel Bella Venezia - Venice

We spent 3 wonderful days in Venice: the hotel bella venezia is absolutely well located and I recommand it especially rooms with the view on small canal: you wake up every morning with songs of people in gondolas. staff is very welcoming:breakfast very good: try the lemon pie!

Hotel was in an excellent location, directly down from the water taxi and basically straight from St. Mark's square. It's bright, clean and although the elevator is not large, it's perfectly adequate. Delicious pizza right across the narrow street from the entrance. Good breakfast included. We didn't even get lost!

Disappointing for a high price Well located Think this company needs new management Will take this up with VeneziaSi (the group which I understand regulates the hotels in Venice)

Ok hotel in central Venice, near all main attractions. Recommended for those who will stay in a hotel near "everything". Breakfast ok. Good coffee. Small rooms, but ok.

Rooms very quie considering central location. Good Brekfast and helpful suggestions for restaurants. 11:30 am check-out much appreciated.

Too expensive for the room and breakfast

I just came from a holiday of 4 days and my stay was in bella venezia hotel.. everything was excellent.. the brakefast was marvouls and delicous didnt exect all that variouty... its only 3 min far away from piazza san marco and 2 min far away from ponto rialto and vaporetto. i highly recommand everyone a nice stay in the hotel. we made a very good desicion with the choice of the hotel. staff is very helpfull. even mentioned some nice places to visit. thanks to all the staff

Good location, 10mins from Rialto and 10mins to S.Marco square and many places for food around the hotel.

Room was as advertised, spacious, well appointed and comfortable, and right in the heart of Venice. We had a canal room which, with double glazing, was peaceful when desired.

Nice hotel to stay for romantic getaways! Walking distance from S.Marco square... people working there were welcoming and made us feel at home!

Some details were not up to the standard of a hotel at this price, dirty bath towels thrown in a corner of the bathroom floor (not by us) and left there, no stamps for postcard at reception, only one keycard to the room, wich made us dependent on each other. The room was small, cupboard space enough for one person, certainly not for two. However, excellent location between Rialto and San Marco, easy to get everywhere in Venice itself and to the Vaporetto (only a few meters away from the hotel)as well as to Tronchetto where we had parked the car. Our room was a two bed double room, the beds were good and the shower/bathroom excellent. Breakfast gave a large choice for every taste. Only the orange juice was of a poor standard.

We stayed for 7 nights. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms have been recently renewed. Do not expect a 4 star hotel, but location is excellent. Close to Piazza San Marco and Rialto. Breakfast is reasonable but service could be improved.

Beautiful hotel and location, close to all the main atractions

The hotel has an excellent location being not far from the water buses at Rialto and 10 mins from Saint Marco Square. Breakfast was substantial offering both cooked and continental choices Our room was on the small side but adequate for us, the bathroom was spacious. I would stay at this hotel again

This was our second visit to Venice and I would recommend this hotel. It compares very well with our previous hotel but at a much more reasonable cost. The location is great (once you know where the hotel actually is -always a challenge in Venice!)

Lovely hotel, very well situated to St. Marcos Square and close to divine small restaurants in the area. The breakfast in the mornings was excellent. The hotel is also ideally located - very close to the Rialto bridge where we needed to take a boat to reach the bus station (for our cruise) - we did not need to walk a lot with all our luggage. We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is a warm and welcoming, clean and modern place. The staff are very friendly and professional and have a good command of the English language. We were given good recommendations for places to dine as well. And the price was good for what was available to us. A sign on the wall in the room stated that room rates were 500 Euros and we tought we'd made a mistake, but we had the printout of our reservation which clearly stated that we had not paid that much. There were nice little touches too like the chocolates on the pillow and turned down bed at night. It is a great place to stay and very close to Square where we spent most of our time near as we had little time.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Venice.

After many hours of research on trying to find the "perfect" hotel for our Venice stay, we decided on the Bella Venezia. The photos posted on the website, the amenities and price were all factors in making our decision. After all comparisons were made, the location, between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square was definitely the deciding factor why we chose the Bella Venezia. Our expectations were not only met, but exceeded by the staff, cleanliness, breakfast, services and appearance of the hotel. It was central to all of the places we wanted to visit, and only a short walk from the Valporetto dock. We truly enjoyed every minute of our Venice stay in the charming Bella Venezia. The staff (especially Benny) was helpful in securing opera tickets, a Murano glass factory tour and transportation to the train station on the day of our departure. The breakfast was the usual buffet, turned up a notch with fresh pastries, fruit, eggs and beverages every day. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return some day.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was attractive, clean and comfortable, and the location of the hotel was great. The breakfast was good and overall we enjoyed our stay immensely. A good place to stay in Venice.

Our romantic getaway of 4 days in Venice was made even more enjoyable as a result of our decision to stay at Bella Venezia. The location is excellent, 50 m from Rialto and perhaps 100 m to San Marcos. There is easy access to several vaporetto stops, making transportation quite simple. (I highly recommend buying an ACTV vaporetto "travel card" that is good for the duration of your stay. It will definitely pay for itself). The hotel was very clean and very quiet. The staff were courteous and helpful, and spoke excellent English. Our superior room was spacious enough for our needs, not too cramped, but certainly not palatial. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We can highly recommend this hotel. The location was ideal, but this was a bonus, not its main virtue. Our room was very spacious (it was a superior room), the en-suite facilities were comprehensive, fully functioning and perfectly clean. We never had to wait for a table at breakfast (it was low season), the service was efficient and friendly, and there was a wide range of wholesome food, hot and cold. All the staff were competent, and the hotel is very well presented. Unlike many in Venice, the hotel was easy to find. Do read the directions on the hotel's website, and memorise the photograph that shows the outside of the hotel, it will help you to identify it. If we return to Venice we will definitely stay there again.

It was all perfect, except of the rumor caused by the air-conditioner. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly (that kind of personal attitude I have not seen before). I can't say for the other rooms, but our one was really fantastic - nice view, shiny, clean. For sure to be visited again.

Of all hotels I visited in Venice over a long period this has by far the best price-quality index. And I would add the splendid breakfast table. I will surely come back, particularly in off-peak season, with reasonable prices.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at in Europe. The location was perfect half way between the Rialto Bridge and Piazza S. Marco. Staff couldn't have been more helpfull. Will definitely return to Venice and stay at the Bella Venezia.

The rooms with a view on the canal are wonderful, and quiet. They are comfortable and clean, and offer that luxurious feeling that gives the visit to Venice an extra touch. The breakfast is excellent, with the best supply of fresh fruits (pineaple, kiwi, blood-oranges etc) that I have seldom seen in hotels. Very kind service, and every minute several gondolas pass by the breakfast room: really romantic. Avoid the coffee though. Just awful, and the tea is a great alternative.

A beautiful hotel in a fairy tale location. My wife and I stayed here in August for our honeymoon and couldn’t have chosen a better hotel (only a couple of minutes walking distance to The Rialto Bridge or St. Mark’s Square). I emailed them asking for a Canal view as it was going to be our honeymoon and Carlo replied almost immediately, not only was our room perfect with an absolutely stunningly romantic view of the Canal but they threw in a free bottle of bubbly as well. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were both friendly and helpful. The service we received was excellent and to top this off we had the good fortune to listen to and watch singing Gondoliers passing directly beneath our window. What more could you ask for on your Honeymoon? We can’t thank them enough for making our honeymoon perfect and would definitely stay here again when visiting Venice.

In Venice for 5 days. Three before the cruise and two after our return from the cruise. Hotel was very nice except there was noise from people walking and talking (some loud) as they passed in front of the hotel through the alley way in front of our room #101.

Fantastic! Perfect location and excellent quality

To book the Bella Venetia was a good decision. , I think we got the best room of the hotel, the room Nr 308 with spectacular canal view and view the to Campanile. When I chose this hotel, I decided becose of this picture. :) By the booking I announced, that we travelled to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. To our kind surprise we got a bottle of champagne free of charge. Thank you for the whole Hotel staff. So I suggest to choose this hotel visiting Venice.

The service was great, they went out of their way to help us, even checking and making rent a car reservations. The location was good half way between Rialto Bridge and San Marco. The only complaint's with the room were that the air conditioning had a mind of it own and cut off and on at will and the bed was too hard (but that was the case everywhere we stayed in Italy). The first night was noisy, but it was better the other two nights.

It has friendly staffs and good service. Also, good location was satisfied to me.

This hotel was excellent for accommodation and situation in Venice. Where it would fall down is the facilities available in the hotel itself but it is only a small hotel. The coffee in the dining room in the morning was horrible but that really was my only complaint

I think Bella Venezia is a good hotel. I'm sure I will return to Venice and of course to Bella Venezia Hotel.

We had a short yet great stay at Bella Venezia. I have been in the hospitality business for many years and I was impressed with their service. They had a positive answer for every one of our requests. The hotel amenities are at an American level with an Italian touch. I loved having breakfast overlooking the canal seeing the gondolas cruising by ready start another day. Venice was beautiful and the hotel made it even better. It's also very well located, close to the vaporetto stop. Recommend: asking for directions before you go-it's easy to get lost.

We stayed for five days in Bella Venezia and were quite content with the rooms with accelerator and climatization, the breakfast and the bar. The rooms were different, on was very big an comfortable, the other one was a little smaller but also very good.

Although we got the hotel earlier, at around 1p.m., they took us to a room quickly. We were tired from almost 4 hours of train ride, it was a happy welcome. Also, they prepared a bottle of champagne because I've written to them in advance that we were visiting Venice on honeymoon. We had no complaint on the room. It was spacious and clean. Better than the photos. Only one thing, it might be my misunderstanding, but I've expected the room with a canal view as a "double deluxe".

My mother and I had a wonderful time in Venice and at the Hotel Bella Venezia. Lovely interior spaces. Less than desirable room view. Perfect for couples. A suggestion: provide a list of restaurants and menus in the area.

What an outstanding hotel!! The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a double room with a canal view and found it delightful and quiet. The breakfast served in the morning is the best in Italy!! One cannot go wrong by staying here!! Plus it is in a wonderful location between San Marco Square and the Rialto Bridge

A very pretty and fancy hotel. centrally located just walking distances to rialto bridge and st. marco's square. the adress given on this site is actually incorrect, we had great difficulty locating the hotel.if that is rectified it is actually 5 minutes walking from rialto bridge.my only problem was when we checked in they made a huge fuss of us not booking a triple room as we were travelling with a child,we also told them that this was not the first time we were travelling with our baby and she sleeps on the floor as she usually slips out and falls down on the floor, they made up stories that in italy it's a law which states that children cannot sleep in the same bed as the parents and if there would be a police raid we will be arrested,which i thought was really stupid. and no hotel again repeated that in our one month long vacation in italy. i will definately suggest this one to all and will go back again.

IT IS A BEAUTUFUL HOTEL, WITH GREAT ATTENTION, GREAT LOCATION, THE ROOM´S ARE AS IN THE PHOTO, BRAND NEW, WITH A VERY GOOD TASTE, THE EMPLOYEES ARE VERY NICE AND KIND.THE BREAKFAST IS ABUNDANT WITH LOTS OF VARIETIES. MY STAY HAS BEEN PERFECT.

The only slight criticism was the staff at breakfast. They need a few weeks in charm school. Otherwise everything was excellent. The next time I go to Venice I will definitely stay at the Bella Venezia.

We really lucked out with this one. Being that this hotel had just opened 2 weeks before our arrival, I was not able to find any reviews. the location was superb and although we booked a standard room, we asked for a canal view and were given an elegant, spacious room overlooking a small picturesque canal which was a route for the gondolas. Except for the gondolas, there was no other noise to be heard, even thought we were 5 minutes from the Rialto Bridge and San Marco. Breakfast was elaborate with eggs and bacon and the other typical Italian breakfast fare. The breakfast room was also elegant and overlooked the canal. We could not have been happier. Price was terrific for what we got.

Friendly competent staff, nice large rooms(the suite), very nice bathrooms, quiet, good location. The bar area was not very good and the lobby wasn't very comfortable. Quite expensive but a nice place. Would stay there again if that lottery ticket comes through.
