Perfectly acceptable budget hotel in great location - in the Cannaregio just a few blocks from the train & bus station so easy to get to upon arrival. Its at the edge of mass tourists, and bordering a lovely area that is more local than tourist and our favorite place to walk, eat, see the less visited sight, yet a quick vaporetto ride to San Marco, Santa Croce, Rialto, etc (which are nice to visit to see the important sights and walk through the streets, but so crowded and so full of tourists that I'd not want to stay in those areas). Its on a tiny alley that is easy to miss, we walked by it twice before we realized it was a street. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are small, furnished as one would expect for a budget hotel, but pleasant and fully functional. Small but nice private bathroom. Decent breakfast (note that they do not include breakfast with Venere reservations - unlike many other places - which we didn't realize, and that cost us an extra 7E per person per day). Our first night was difficult - there was a problem that developed overnight with the plumbing that made it very unpleasant. But in the morning the hotel staff moved us to a new room that was fine. All in all, we would defininitely stay here again despite the initial difficulty.

The hotel was what we expected and it was absolutely fine for a three days trip to Venice. Small but nice and clean room, small and again clean bathroom. The hotel is located close to train station and car parking lots ("communale parking", "san marco parking"), it is a 5 to 10 minutes walk. The next vaporretto stop is nearby and a lot of restaurants and shops are as well. To discover the ancient town of Venice it is an ideal home base.

i'll focus on the two worst points... Hotel was infested with mosquitos. No warnings or preventive measures in place. Inexcusable. I received in excess of 60 bites on the first night. Staff leave windows open allowing the rooms to fill with mosquitos. Reception was frequently unattended. Room keys are very close to the open door that leads onto a dark alley. This is the only venere.com booking where I would never return or reccomend the hotel.

It is located in a small alley that is a bit scary looking at first (specially if its your first time in Venice). However, we got used to it and felt safe anyway. We booked 2 twin rooms at the Atlantide and we were happy that we have our newly refurbished private shower/toilet. There is also a very small safety deposit box that you can use for free (just deposit Euro 5, refundable upon check-out and return of key). The rooms were very compact though and quite difficult to move around specially if you have 2 suitcases on the floor. The location of the hotel is very good considering its proximity to the vaporetto and train stations as well as Piazza Roma.  If you are coming from Piazza Roma, do take the vaporetto from there to Ferrovia station.  You will need to save your energy in case the room you will get is located on the 3rd floor, like ours---no lifts in the hotel!  The staff were very helpful and hardworking though specially the guy who's in-charge of serving breakfast.  The hotel's interior could use some fixing.  They need not spend a lot...just drapes to cover the area near the stairs where they keep all laundry and fans.  In the evenings, it is very quiet since it is not facing a busy street.  If you get a room facing the courtyard, you'll enjoy the dripping sound of water from the fountain next door.  We paid an average of Euro 112/room with bfast, I think its a bit expensive for the hotel quality.  Location is what we paid for I guess.

We were located in another property belonged to the same owner of the Atlantide, despite we have had booked our room for Atlantide. The room was next door to the breakfast room and the coffe machine, so many people were waiting whwn we came out from the room. They don´t accept cerdit card so we had to overdraw cash from the bank with the consequent comission. Tehy don´t give you invoice for the service.

Really close to the train station, which is nice if it's your first trip to Venice...as the city can be very confusing to navigate; and having ease to find your hotel and get rid of your stuff is important. The location felt very safe, which was nice. Also the first thing hotel staff did with us when we got there was get out a map and go over everything important in the city; which was really cool. They also pointed out where the best pizza and ice cream in Venice was, which was really nice. The rooms were clean and ours had AC (which was surprising). While not amazing, they had a bed and a bathroom...and were secure. That's all we needed and it was perfect.

Apparently all accommodation in venice is very expensive, so taking that into account, the hotel was good. The breakfast was good although the room tight, but in a very convenient location with very friendly staff! Please note, they offer a complementary trip to Murano, but you must contact them in advance to book it, but if you take a water bus pass you can travel there yourself. In general a beautiful trip and very convenient accommodation, although in the future may chose to stay on the lido for cheaper hotels of higher rating.

The hotel is a short walk from the train station and the grand canal/shopping areas, but St Mark's is a good 30-45 min walk away. The hotel is down a small alley way which is difficult to find even during the day. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The room was pretty clean and compact, but my wife didn't care for the moth ball scent. You have to pay for the room in cash, which is extremely annoying, so if you are staying more than a few days in Venice you will need a lot of euros on hand. Compared to American hotels this is extremely overpriced, but that's how it is accross Europe unfortunately. Not bad for one night.

The amenities were non existent. The towels were covered with yellow stains. The staff were fine and did provide useful info concerning getting to the airport. I went with my couple and I don't know why but they gave us a room of 4 persons, so as you can imagine we had so much space for us. it was great! everything was clean and I think the best thing is the price/quality. it's not in the city centre, but you can go by walking everywhere. I really recommend it

This is a budget hotel, but it is reasonable value for Venice. It is near the station and the staff are helpful.

Nice hotel, with great location. Good choice if arriving from train station. Price is satisfied, whereas hotel is on main Island not on Lido Island, so you can walk to main attractions and completely explore Venice

Great location - very easy to find if arriving in Venice late at night. A noisy neighbour was promptly sorted out after a quick phonecall to reception. Would definitely stay here again.

the hotel was in a very little lane of a mainstreet. it was surpricing silent. the most pleasent surprice was the air condition in the room which was very silent too. i guess the prices in venice are always very high so i think it was resonable priced.

The staff was very helpful and spoke perfect English and Spanish. I would highly recommend this hotel. I would stay there again. The Grand Canal, Train Station, and Piaza Roma were close by. The hotel is close to the ACTV water taxi. The directions to the hotel were from the train station. It would be nice to have directions from the Bus station for those arriving from Traviso.

Sincerely, we pay a high price, if compared the quality of the services and the installations of the Atlantide Hotel, with that of other existing hotels in the world and of same classification. The man who received us not have no ability to deal with guests. The positive prominence is for account of the localization, for which I suggest the indication, in the map of the site (Web), to disembark in the Station "Ferrovia".

Staff was very friendly. The room was very very small. Not at all what the pictures showed. They had disbaled the heat and A/C so you couldnt use it, and the electric outlets as well. Very small bathroom and shower. The room had a strange odor.

During week-days the price is really good. During weekeends the prices are twice higher. Room was small, a bit noisy refreshment machine was next to our door. But it was clean.

Hotels in Venice are expensive. This hotel is close to the train station for those who arrive by night is ok, probably the dark street where is located is not the nicest one but is a few steps from the main street.

We were placed in a room with no heating for the first couple of nights, the staff pretended not to know about that the heating wasn't working. Generally the staff was quite unhelpful, the cold room a disaster, quite dirty, but the new room was warm and ok. I wouldn't recommend the hotel. Won't stay there again.

Very close to train station. Convenient if you're traveling early or arriving late. Rooms are outdated, but you can't beat the price. Hotel located off all "main paths"; therefore, it was pretty quiet. Bathroom very nice -- recently updated. Stay in this hotel if you want a basic (no frills) room for a great price. When you're in Venice -- enjoy Venice! Don't stay in your hotel room.

Room was extremely small, and not well lighted. There wasn’t any room to open suitcases unless you put them on the bed to do so. The photograph for the room on the website was for a 4 person, so beware if you're are 2 thinking you'll get that room. Cancelation information isnt legitite. States if cancelation is less than 72 hours, then you'll be charged for 1 night stay. We checked in and were displeased overall with the hotel and decided to stay only 1 night verses the 2 originally booked. When notifying the front desk of our decision, they said we were going to be charged for both nights. After argueing for an hour about the cancellation info misrepresentations, decided just to pay the 2 nights and leave the disgusting place.
