As a couple we ventured on a romantic weekend in this wonderful city. This hotel is ideally situated, however the biggest critism would be the damned mosquito's. Maybe a forewarning so you could invest in mosquito plugs etc would be helpful.

The location is good, easy to find and close to the train station. The staff is very atentious, kind and helpfull. The price is OK. The room and bathroom are too small. The breakfast has to improve a lot. There was no TV working at our room.

The staff was friendly and helpfull. Just in case of stress the waiter showed his italian temper. But anyway we can recommend the hotel, our room was clean and worth every penny and the hotel is located right in the cthe center of Canareggio, close to the trainstation and the boat-stops.

Good value for money by Venice standards; convenient for the station. Rather cramped, but fine if you don't plan to spend much time in your room!

The overall comfort of the room would improve if a table lamp would be available. Now only ceiling lighting exists which is a bit brutal and does not create an "atmosphere" in the room. It would be more pleasant with more "subtle" lighting conditions.

The hotel rooms did´t correspond to the web pages where everything look nice and clean. Also the room where so small that you could´t have space for your suitcases. Only positive thing was the bathroom which was relative new and also clean.Big problem to have breakfast, due to very small room, and not very clean. I cannot recommend this hotel to others, but only the location was good. But there are lots of hotels in the closeness. regards Henning

Not what I expected, it is more a backpacker kind of hotel, not very nice, very small rooms and bathroom but clean. The location is convenient because it is close to the train station but a little far from the main attractions.

Extremely friendly people at reception, very accomodating. Unfortunately the room was very depressing, dark and tiny but clean. Common areas: depressing. Value for price is not good, there really are nicer hotels for minimally more per night, just shop around.

Really close to the train station, which is nice if it's your first trip to Venice...as the city can be very confusing to navigate; and having ease to find your hotel and get rid of your stuff is important. The location felt very safe, which was nice. Also the first thing hotel staff did with us when we got there was get out a map and go over everything important in the city; which was really cool. They also pointed out where the best pizza and ice cream in Venice was, which was really nice. The rooms were clean and ours had AC (which was surprising). While not amazing, they had a bed and a bathroom...and were secure. That's all we needed and it was perfect.

It was my first stay in Venice, and this hotel was the less expansive. Only 20minutes walk from st marc and rialto, very quiet, close from the shops and restaurants (and vaporetto). And 5 minutes from st lucia station. If i go back to Venice, i will probably stay in that hotel again.

The room and bathroom was quite small, but OK, clean. Air-conditioning worked fine. Public areas of the hotel are not very representative. But for the price you can not expect more. Apparently all accommodation in venice is very expensive, so taking that into account, the hotel was good. The breakfast was good although the room tight, but in a very convenient location with very friendly staff! Please note, they offer a complementary trip to Murano, but you must contact them in advance to book it, but if you take a water bus pass you can travel there yourself. In general a beautiful trip and very convenient accommodation, although in the future may chose to stay on the lido for cheaper hotels of higher rating.

The hotel is a short walk from the train station and the grand canal/shopping areas, but St Mark's is a good 30-45 min walk away. The hotel is down a small alley way which is difficult to find even during the day. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The room was pretty clean and compact, but my wife didn't care for the moth ball scent. You have to pay for the room in cash, which is extremely annoying, so if you are staying more than a few days in Venice you will need a lot of euros on hand. Compared to American hotels this is extremely overpriced, but that's how it is accross Europe unfortunately. Not bad for one night.

The hotel was really good. When you travel to Venecia you need a confortable room to rest after a long walking, a clean bathroom and a good shower and a good location. This hotel has all this things. I enjoyed and they have a good breakfast. something not so good is that you have to pay in cash, no credit cards, and you have to close all windows suring day and night because mosquitos could not ley you sleep very well. but overall it was a very good experience.

This was by far the worse hotel we stayed in while on our trip to Italy. It was also the most expensive considering the poor quality. The room was very tiny and void of any charm or character. The amenities were non existent. The towels were covered with yellow stains. The staff were fine and did provide useful info concerning getting to the airport. I also did not like the area we stayed in. It extremely touristy, full of poor restaurants and cheap gift shops. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere perhaps even on a different island.

We had a nice room with a window on trees behind the hotel (#309). Some other travellers had more noise. The person working for the breakfast was very nice, but the place was too small, and I would advice taking a room without breakfast and go enjoy breakfast in the nearest coffee-shops. In summer, if the breakfast is served on the garden, that could be very different. The hotel is very close to the railway station (2 minutes walk), and the surroundings are nice.

The service at the hotel was great with a breakfast that included a great variety and very competent staff. The room was rather small, but we didn't spend much time there. It was clean. The hotel is only 3 blocks from the trainstation and a 15 minute walk from the Piazza Romale where the express bus from the airport drops you off. You will receive an email after confirmation that you have to pay in cash for your stay.

The hotel is not good. First of all it smells horrible. In the morning you can have problems with the warm water because if it has too much people taking a bath the water will be cold. The bathrooms are horrible as well. The breakfast is poor (some fruits for instance were rotten) and the service is really deficient. I think that this hotel is really far to the standards of Venere hotels.

Sincerely, we pay a high price, if compared the quality of the services and the installations of the Atlantide Hotel, with that of other existing hotels in the world and of same classification. The man who received us not have no ability to deal with guests. Very close to train station. Convenient if you're traveling early or arriving late. Rooms are outdated, but you can't beat the price. Hotel located off all "main paths"; therefore, it was pretty quiet. Bathroom very nice -- recently updated. Stay in this hotel if you want a basic (no frills) room for a great price. When you're in Venice -- enjoy Venice! Don't stay in your hotel room.

Room was extremely small, and not well lighted. There wasn’t any room to open suitcases unless you put them on the bed to do so. The photograph for the room on the website was for a 4 person, so beware if you're are 2 thinking you'll get that room. Cancelation information isnt legitite. States if cancelation is less than 72 hours, then you'll be charged for 1 night stay. We checked in and were displeased overall with the hotel and decided to stay only 1 night verses the 2 originally booked. When notifying the front desk of our decision, they said we were going to be charged for both nights. After argueing for an hour about the cancellation info misrepresentations, decided just to pay the 2 nights and leave the disgusting place.

Firstly, the hotel was difficult to find - the street was too narrow (about 1 metre wide) to be recognised as a street in normal sense. Since we arrived at night, the street plate was hardly noticeable. We suggest the hotel to set up better signage along the main street near the entrance to the narrow path where the hotel is located; or give better instruction on the booking site for locating the hotel. Secondly, the breakfast room was far too small to accomodate the hotel guests, and the staff were too busy to help. Thirdly, it might be a problem to carry heavy luggages up the the spiral stairs; but the chap on night shift was really helpful to have carried upstairs the big piece of luggage for me. Lastly, we would suggest the hotel to set aside a safer area for luggage storage rather than leaving them in the covered garden where everybody accessed freely.

The hotel is very close to the train station (2 mins walk) but we spend almost 2 hours to find it. Every one seem lost in the city of Venice and even the policeman. Trust me, don't ask anyone for finding the hotel even they got the map, as even the locals will tell you the direction to the street with very similar name which is so far away. To find the hotel, don't cross any bridge from the station, otherwise, you are going with wrong place. The rooms and the bathrooms in the hotel are very small and decorations are old, but the breakfast is good. There are just few tables in the dinning room, you may have to wait in the morning.

The room was really, really tiny. Also, when we checked in, we were given keys to our room, but it clearly had not been made up since the last guest checked out. The staff was embarassed, and the situation was fixed by the time we returned that evening, but it was still disconcerting.

If you need a place to sleep and aren't expecting too much, this is the place to go. At breakfast, there weren't any tables or chairs and the staff didn't say anything or try to clear a spot for me. The room was just big enough for a bed and the staff didn't seem enthusiastic to help.

Pleasant and friendly people to deal with. Probably reasonable value for an overpriced environment. Noise from neighbouring rooms was a problem.

Bleak set up, expensive, incompetente staff, very poor breakfast. Absolutely unworth the price.

Was an excellent value for the location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Sumptious buffet breakfast was a bit of an exageration. My only complaint was staff should have addressed children and teenagers making so much noise in the halls late in the evenings and early in the morning.

Unfortunately, due to a long flight delay, I arrived at 2.30 am. The person on night duty was totally unable to speak English, and I am almost unable to speak Italian. It was therefore a little difficult to communicate! The breakfast room is very small, and on both days of my stay I was taken down the street and round the corner to a sister hotel (a different one each day) for breakfast. However, the service was generally good and polite. The location is very good, close to the Santa Lucia train station and less than 10 minutes walk from the bus station. This was a convenient hotel at a reasonable price and I was very grateful to have found it on your website.

Despite being in Venice, we payed lss here than Florence or Rome. The location is great, right next to train station. The staff doesn't speak much english but can work with you. Rooms are small but do the trick, and is right off a strip of everything you need. Would easily stay here again.

We were disappointed to find that our room was not nearly as nice as pictured. Firstly, we ended up being moved to another hotel called Zechini or something and no explanation was given. This other hotel is best described as trashy. Our room reeked of cigarette smoke, was very small, and had tired decoration (including a fist hole in the wall). The included breakfast was pathetic (coffee, warm yoghurt, and a sad assortment of processed breads were the entire offering), in actuality counter productive since having no breakfast would have not influenced as much my opinion of the place. Another problem, which is admitingly half venere.com's fault is that we were not able to shorten our stay 15min after checking in (right after we realized the place sucked). The hotel said that the entire amount of the reservation would be charged, which is rediculous because if we had not even showed up only the first night would be charged as a penalty (as stated on venere.com). venere.com does not explicitly define what penalty, if any, applies when a stay is shortened. Whom I perceived to be the owner was also quite rude about this. We ended up feeling obligated to stay here as the hotel told us to speak to venere.com and venere.com told us to speak with the hotel.

Rapporto qualità/prezzo accettabile per un due stelle. Camera piccola ma pulita. Unico inconveniente: la prima colazione viene servita in una struttura diversa (anche se vicina) e, d'inverno, può creare qualche inconveniente.

the only thing I dindn't like so much was the breakfast.. the room was too small for my "happy and quite wake up".. we had to eat too near to the others :). rooms are kind clean and small (but i remember to you that you have to run all around to venice.. you have to sleep there and nothing more). exellent welcoming.. well.. what can i say? the price is incredible for the place it is. anything else. (well.. maybe it all seemed so fantastic to me for my fantastic girlfriend.. but she's mine.. so.. look at venice :P)

Rooms and cleanliness were quite good considering the price. However, like everyone else who stayed there says, a bigger breakfast room, and more than one person working in the kitchen are definitely needed. We skipped breakfast because we waited 40 minutes for a free table.

the stay in Venice is not so good, the room we live in is not good as others because we are foreign people. The door of the room is not tight, in the evening, when room is dark, you can see the light from outside, the door for balcony is not able to lock. the heating system is bad at the beginning, I asked for repairing several times

Cheapest accomodation we could find in Venice, and close to everything. According to how expensive is the city, it's realy a good choice. If doesn't have much money to spend on accomodation, Atlatinde will allow you to live Venice. Go!
