the Worst "hotel"- if you can can call it that- I ahd never been "accomodate"in a garage! yes a garage! transformed in a room! I stay there because I was very tired due to the travel. To bad to be true!

Upon arriving, was not overly greeted well by the man at the desk, perhaps he was tired as arrived late afternoon... But the morning & evening desk attendant was more pleasant, as was the lady at breakfast. The room was small, bath towels would have been nicer than the cloth towel, but the room was in a quiet setting, which was well appreciated after a very long day of travelling. Would like to stay again in the same hotel if rooms are available & will definitely recommend the hotel to my friends. Thank you for being listed on the website..

The handrail on the stairs was loose which concerned me, especially as all the luggage had to be carried upstairs. One of our party fell when coming downstairs with his case which resulted n him being hospitalisised. The room we had smelt of cigarettes and opened directly onto a public footpath. The Venere directions to the hotel were inadequate(a probleb we have found before) The breakfast was better than we had been led by other reviewers to expect.

We used this as a one night accommodation stop at the end of a cruise holiday before our return home. The person on reception was very friendly and helpful. He answered our questions about the water buses and supplied us with a map. The room was fine. As we had to leave early in the morning for our flight home we were too early for breakfast but the garden area where breakfast is served looked very nice. It was fairly easy to find the general area but we had to look hard for the hotel as it is located just off the main street a short way up an alley. We were on the ground floor next to the alley but there was no noise at all during the night.

The room was clean, quiet and had good facilities (kitchenette, clean bathroom etc.) although the space itself is a bit cramped in places. The room itself was actually in an apartment building separate from the actual hotel building giving us an unexpected 10 minute walk from where we checked in. It was also somewhat difficult to find the hotel itself as it's located on a small side street and Venice by nature is rather difficult to navigate. Overall we had an excellent stay here, however due to the high demand for rooms in the city in general hotel owners are able to jack up the price a bit so we found the room to be a bit overpriced.

When looking for this hotel, note that it is in an "alley" and if you are walking from the train station (which is very easy to do and quick), the side of they alley you see has a DIFFERENT name than the side of the alley that Ariel Silva is on - i.e. they are 3 feet apart but have different street names on each side of they alley. You have to turn around to see the name of the street you are looking for. The best thing to do is look for the closest Vaparetto stop (Marcuso I think) and make sure you know how far the hotel is from it and that should get you there easier. The hotel street IS on a map - it's just hard to find. The room was really weird and gross - right off the lobby - i.e. five feet from the check-in desk. The "Breakfast" was packaged crackers and packaged "toast". We did not bother to eat there. It was noisy b/c in Venice everything is amplified, but that did not bother us. In general, this place is a dump and I would pay 50 more euro to find something nice along one of the canals. Not even worth sleeping there. The staff was nice, but I would not pay to stay there again. Venice is so great, it'd be nice to have something inviting to go back to after such a great day there.

Rude staff - I speak Italian so I know what I am talking about! The hotel is very noisy in the morning and I was woken up everyday during my stay at 6am! The bed are too hard, the breakfast could be better... Saying that the hotel is conveniently located and good value for money.

General location is very central. But the street, which is not even on the map, is very difficult to find. Even locals don't know it. We had the double room on the ground floor which has the windows right at the street where people are outside. Had to keep the windows closed all times... Well, coffee in morning is good though.

When visiting Venice for a conference, as well as a vacation, I lowered the priority of the quality of the hotel, in order to spend more energy on seeing Venice. Therefore this hotel was perfect for me as I only used it for sleeping and breakfast. The comments previously given by other visitors at this hotel fit well with what I saw. Some of the comments are a bit harsh but others are in the opposite end and being to positive. However I think the location of this hotel is perfect for a stay in Venice. It is very easy to get around and the streets just around the hotel are extremely charming. No doubt that this is one of the best things about the hotel. Furthermore the hotel really sets you in the mood of being in a small town where everything is cramped together as the hotel is placed down a very narrow street. I was quite surprised to find it here. I am very satisfied with the service I got, because my focus on the holiday was not on the hotel, but on visiting Venice itself. My advice to future travellers who want to stay at this hotel: Get up early and have your breakfast. Wonder of into Venice for the whole day and don’t get back to the hotel before you need to sleep. Venice is much more charming than the four walls of this and any other hotel. This hotel is located very good for both getting into town as well as getting out again. And the price is fine. The campsite outside town is of course cheaper but more complicated to get into Venice. This is a good substitution for the campsite. Have fun in Venice!

Frühstück italienisch, also nur verpackter Zwieback etc. Kein Service an der Rezeption. So wäre in meinem Fall ein kleiner Hinweis darauf, dass am Abreisetag die Vaporettos und später die Busfahrer streiken durchaus hilfreich gewesen

There seemed to be bugs. Not sure if they were in the cloth of the headboard in the bed, or if they are in Venice in general. Nice and roomy.

Hotel Ariel Silva is a nice place for a one or two night visit to Venice. In general, everything is expensive in Venice, so for a basic hotel, 105 Euro was actually reasonable for one night. The hotel is located on a very narrow side street about 10-12 minute walk from the train station. The room was fairly clean and resembled the photos on the website. Like most European hotels, the bathroom (and especially the shower) were small. The man who checked us in was somewhat rude, but the personnel that we talked with in the morning were nice and helpful with information. The breakfast was basic, but ok...a croissant, toast, jam & coffee or cappuccino. Overall, the hotel was what we expected for a 1 star and I would recommend it for a short stay in Venice.

We got there and they mixed up the day of our reservation. we took a shower and all the water leaked all over the hotel floor. water was freezing cold and then burning hot. when we told them about our problems and said we didnt want a room that leaked water everywhere they said, "ok, But you still need to pay." I was thinking what for an awful room that cost a 100 euro a night. I had to get on the phone with the owner because they were unwilling to compromise. After argumentation we got 30 euro off and a different room. The room we slept in was infested with mosquitos. Our stay with Ariel Silvia was the most negative part of our trip to Europe. After this night we found a hotel for 70 euro a night that had consistent water temperature, no problem with mosqitoes, friendly, and had a lovely spacious room. If you are looking for a place this place has our high recomendation. It is called hotel la forcala

This hotel is OK if you are basically looking for a place to sleep. It's location was difficult to find. Ask for directions before you go. We had a 3rd person in the room, our 16 yr old son, and he slept on floor mattress that was not very comfortable.

We arranged for a family of four in one large room. When we arrived, however, we were offered a three bedroom apartment with a kitchenette for the same price. The older gentleman and his wife were wonderful! Friendly, helpful, generous. We've recommended them to many others. The young man at the desk however presented us with some difficulties. Even though they had emailed us telling us it that they accepted either credit card or cash, he told us this was not true and would not take credit card at check out. However, once he realized that our atm would not allow us to withdraw sufficient funds to pay for our entire stay on check out day, he relented and accepted credit card. It was a brief discomfort however for such generosity and friendliness shown to us by the older couple. I would highly recommend this establishment!

The room was sufficient and clean enough. The staff was abrupt and unpleasant. We had traveled in Italy for close to two weeks and did not experience this kind of rudeness elsewhere. The cleaning lady also walked into our room in the morning without knocking. For Venice it is a bargain, but don't expect a smile from the staff.

Ths ratio between price and sevice quality between this hotel is as low as terrifying. The price in German is 4 star hotel price. But in Venice, the service is poor.

We really felt disgusting and unpleasant about this hotel because one of the staff was so rude and unbelievable. We couldn't believe him.We think he's not suitable for service job.He threw away one of my friend's credit card. We will not be staying this hotel again. And also,we never recommend it to others.

A small hotel, hidden in an alleyway and difficult to find, but conveniently situated. Cleanliness was good, although the quad room was a bit cramped. The air conditioning was good, and really appreciated during a hot August. There was a small invasion of ants, the only remedy on offer was an aerosol can of air freshener. Breakfast was a real dissapointment, one packeted croissant, and a packet containing two slices of toasted bread, with a choice of coffee or hot chocolate or milk, with no refills on offer, we expected better.

A pleasant little hotel - our room was small, but adequate (the couple we went with had a larger room, but with only one small window opening to the alley outside) - and the staff were friendly and helpful.
