Hotel Reviews Amadeus

The Hotel Amadeus certainly used to be a very nice hotel and it is very well located close to the Venice railway station and Piazzale Roma which makes it very convenient for travellers on transit as we were before a cruise. However the room we were given needs urgent renovation : the carpet is out of age and the bathroom is very very tired ! That's probably the reason why we were quoted a 2-3 star hotel price for a supposedly 4 star hotel. The staff is friendly and capable. So if your goal is to stay only one short night not too expensive and close to the port or the station the Amadeus might be a good place. If you want to spend a romantic week-end in Venice you can find much better at not necessarily a much higher price.

Hotel was in a good area however was way overpriced for the room. I had a view of a brick wall, not really acceptable for 160 euros per night and a four star hotel. Breakfast was good, the baggage guy smelt like stale alcohol which was really noticable in a lift that fits no more than two people and that was crammed enough. Will never stay here again.

Hotel Amadeus was great! I walked out of the train station, took a left, walked for about 5 minutes through the crowded Venice street and then I was there- just like that. After I walked in and got a great welcome, someone showed me where my room was and then my wonderful stay in Venice began. Great place, I would like to go back!

Great location, 5 minutes walk on the flat from train station. very decent continental breakfast. we had a room facing the back courtyard which was very quiet, good beds, plasma TV, minifridge and safe. we were allowed to stow our luggage on the last day after checkout for no charge so we could enjoy Venice for a few more hours until our train left.

searched over 20 hotels from various booking sites. price range 70euros to 220euros. trip to venice was mid july so prices were high all over. hotel amadeus was exactly as pictured. our room had same view as hotel website. excellent location, extremely clean, quiet and comfortable room. staff and breakfast was outstanding. would stay here again no question. saw many hotels that i almost booked and they were tucked away far into venice. would've been very frustrated to find some of the hotels i considered. tip: read hotel reviews. my priorities were location, cleanliness, quietness at night, INDIVIDUALLY controlled air-conditioned rooms. i was willing to pay more for these things. anything less $ seemed to offer much less like shared bathrooms or bad location. i had a small budget and hotel amadeus was a superior value. i would expect to pay much more for what i got. travelled with my husband only. would bring our small kids no problem. my parents would be very happy with this choice also.

I suggest this hotel, very easy especially if you reach Venice by train.

This place is a gem - you're in the middle of everything. It's quite procey but you're in Venice so it's to be expected and the place is top notch - it's good value for money and they are extremely helpful and nice. Breakfast is wonderful too - I've been to this place twice now and will return next time I'm in Venice.

Reserved this Hotel based on Trip Advisor recom- mendations.)(which concurred with Venere's). Think we got a special price but the Hotel treated us as if we had paid full price. Easy walk from train station. Lovely gardenview breakfast room.We needed 3 days here before checking into the Abazzia which we also liked. Found both hotels on Venere.

We stayed mid-March 2006. Would recommend to friends/family. Overall a good experience. Excellent breakfast & service, great location if your preference is to be near the train station and water transport. We encountered just 1 negative which was resolved promptly and courteously. We were initially put into a smoking room (non-street side) even though we recalled noting a 'no-smoking' preference when making the reservation. We were not asked our preference when we checked in. Also, much to our dismay, the same room had 3 smashed bugs at various locations on the ceiling. Not too encouraging nor something easily seen unless you were laying the bed looking up. Would be hard for the cleaning personnel to see unless they specifically checked the ceiling. Aside from the ceiling, the room & bathroom were very clean. We subsequently moved to a non-smoking room facing the street, also very clean. It meant a bit more noise but we preferred the street view.

The hotel was a little bit expensive but very good. Plus: Breackfast till 10 in the morning, cleaning, next to the train station, openness in avoiding our payment of the last night because I had to get back home une day before. That was very kind!!. Minus: No internet connection!! (not acceptable in a 4 star hotel)

The booking wiht venere.com was really easy and comfortable. At first I was a bit worried if everything would work out right but I had absolutely no problems and my stay in Venice was really nice. The hotel Amadeus was quite like I expected it to by after having seen the photos and having read the reviews on venere.com, apart from the REALLY LIMITED SPACE in the room (in a hotel of THIS PRICE LEVEL one could really expect a MUCH BIGGER room). All the employees were nice and competent (especially the waitresses at the breakfast). The breakfast was good and plenty. I lieked the furniture in our room but it was quite old and used so on every endge and backside sometihing was broken (in the last night we even found out that one window in our room didnÄt close properly). But the view from our room into the green backyard (which is quite unusual for hotel in Venice)was quite nice and a good alternation to all the water in Venice. By and large I could reccomend the hotel Amadeus because the location is excellent because the hotel is easy to reach after arriving at the thrain station in Venice (it's located just down the street from the station) and one can travel easily the entire city with all the Vaporettos leaving just up the street. It is also easy to get home from every point in the city until midnight. So Hotel Amadeus is the perfect accommodation for travellers who don't want to spend much time in the hotel and prefer to see a lot of the city.

Gemessen daran was Hotels heutzutage kosten, kommt man hier noch vergleichsweise billig weg.

Located very close to the train station, which is very handy in Venice. Just a short ride by a vaporetto boat to St.Marco's Square

The hotel is very nice. We booked the triple room for 200 Euro/night. If compare to other hotels, the price is ok. The location is good if you travel by train since it's about 5 minutes walks from train station. We got the big room. Many choices of breakfast. For the high season, I think it's quite excellent.

air conditioning was not put on despite it being requested. the temperature during the day was approx 26-28 celsius. the windows had to be kept open during the night as a result and this allowed many mosquito's to disturb my sleep as there was no netting. this left me unable to sleep well.

Lovely and accommodating place to stay while in Venice; especially convenient to train station while not being too close to it.

It was a very good stay in Venice at Hotel Amadeus. Although the price was rather high, I presume that the price/quality rate of Hotels (and Restaurants) in Venice should have a different parameter of evaluation than it has in other cities in Italy. However, I recommed this Hotel for a nice stay in Venice.

In any way it's a hotel to come back and recommend to others. Also logistically well situated ( some minutes from the railway-station or the central parking-houses).The outlook from the room (402) obove the roofs and skyline of Venice was marvellous.
