Relaxed location for visiting Venice. Good to get away from tourist crowds and good trattorias nearby. Breakfast from nearby market, coffee available in lobby for E1. Children's beds only rollaways. Good access to vaporetto. No elevator. Only one garret room with no windows has a/c. Public beach a few blocks away..

Lido might not be in the main center of Venice, but easy to reach with boats and if you get a transportation card each trip is not expensive. In just 10-15 minutes you reach San Marco from the hotel. Nice area with many restaurants, bar, supermarket, cafes. Very safe and nice area. Hotel is just a few minutes from the boat.

Without big expectations, I was satisfied with the room. It was clean and not that loud in April. The location in Lido is perfect - in a main street with lots of shops and restaurants. A Billa supermarket is arround and there are very good boat connections to central parts.

This hotel is in need of some TLC. It is also noisy within the hotel. Unfortunately other patrons cannot always be courteous and quiet during regular sleeping hours, which makes recuperating difficult after a long day of constant walking the historical sites, like Piazza San Marco, etc.

Two nights 15 pound per person per night, can't complain at all. Rooms well serviced and very welcoming. 15 mins from St Marks Sq. The only issue is if you are travelling to/from Treviso Airport factor in 40/50 mins on transfer bus and 45 mins on water bus to Lido. Otherwise very good for budget traveller.

I was never a demanding traveler, but the day here was barely pleasant, mainly because of the poor quality of wall. We can hear every sound that our neighbors make, all night long. For the rest it was OK. The room was clean and big enough, and the 15 minutes waterbus drive were not too much of a problem for me.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room was a reasonable size and clean.Breakfast was poor, and not worth the extra 5 Euros. There is a supermarket 50 metres from the hotel where you could purchase food for breakfast. The location of the hotel was very good- close to the water bus as described, and not too far from the beach.

Absolutely great location and for the price can't complain. If you want customer service this is not the place for you, saw the guy twice once on booking in and then out. If you want to know something you have to ask. There was air conditioning in the room (we were on the top floor) as we were the first to arrive for a quad room we got the option of air conditioning or less stairs, as it was 36+ we opted for the air conditioning and so glad we did.

One of THE WORST hotels I have stayed in my life.NOT VALUE FOR MONEY. 1. I had booked a quadruple room. The room was old, flaky paint, old carpets and very hot and humid. I was provided with one tiny standing fan in the corner, No AC, No ceiling fan. On asking to change the room, I was provided with a 2nd standing fan, which circulated more hot air in the room. 2. Car parking was 4 bus stops away from the hotel and was not well marked so I had to travel half the island to park my car. 3. No kettle/facility to make tea/coffee in the room. They charge 5 euro's for breakfast. I wasn't told children are free. 4. The room was next to noisy street with a wedge clasp in the window so could hear drunk people shouting and buses going all night in a very hot room. 5. No fridge in the room. I wasn't informed that we could use the frisge downstairs so fresh fruits for my kids was finally binned. 6. No tourist information was provided at check-in. Infact I was told that they are not left with any more maps and I should buy my own.Didn;t even orient us. I would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. The walls are old with flaky paint, dirty old carpets and spring beds.DEFINITELY NOT A GOOD HOTEL,INFACT SHAME ON A NAME OF A HOTEL. B&B IS PROBABLY BETTER, THIS SHOULD BE RATHER CALLED "ROOM WITH BEDS". ENOUGH TO SPOIL MY HOLIDAY.

The hotel could not be located in a better place in Lido. On the main street in Lido, so that it is easy to get to both the water buses to Venice and the Lido free beach. Also, all the fun is on this street in the eveining. Although it was on the main street, there was not much noise at night even if your room faces the street. I would recommend it and would stay there again. The hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating with all our requests. There is no air-conditioning, but there are fans. Also there is no fridge in the rooms, but there are couple of fridges in the common area on the ground floor.

The Hotel is absolutely one of the cheapest regarding the price, it is wonderfully located (around 200 meters from the Lido free Beach which is really nice and 200 meters from the Vaporetti Boardinf) the view from Lido is marvellous as you can see the sunset on Venitian Laguna. The hotel was just perfect! the only thing is that it is absolutely noisy (indeed no double windows, and rooms in front of the street which is practical but a lot of people eating in restaurants or walking and talking loudly) They should definitely chage their windows in order to preserve people sleep. Except that point I Highly recommand the hotel and will surely go back there in Lido as you have the beach and also the touriistic Venice next door:)

Windows are very old too and it doesn't work, it could be a problem in winter. Lido is so far away from the centre. 1 hour to Ferrovia, 30 min. from San Marco. The vaporetto ticket from Ferrovia to Lido costs 6.5 €. One of the beds were completly broken.

I spoke to two male reception staff and both were very helpful and very friendly and sympathetic that the airline had lost my luggage. Nice, quiet reception room to sit down and get on wi-fi, if you have a laptop. Internet cut out once and staff happily reset the modem, which solved the problem instantly. As others have said shutters don't close completely and some noise gets in but this isn't a problem - the problem for me was that it was so hot as I visited in August. There was a desktop fan in the room (a carrier bag covered an unused fitting in the ceiling) but this was not nearly as good as what a ceiling fan would have been.

The stay was nice here, the staff spoke english and the rooms were reasonable. Out of all my stays this was the most expensive especiallyy in comparison to what i got, but i discovered that is just because venice is more expensive. The rooms were clean, wifi was avaialble but only in the foyer and restaurant areas on the first floor. I was on the 3rd level with no lift but he carried my bag to my room for me. The directions dont specify but when you get off the boat you just have to walk almost straight down the main street and you get to the hotel. Lido is the furtherest island away from the main parts of Venice, but was quite a nice place and the hotel is very close to the boat station. All in all it was a good stay, with clean rooms and friendly service.

This was an easter break with my partner. The first night we arrived at 11pm and there was no water, so we were transferred to another hotel away from the town centre. This was three star but a filthy room, so we asked to return the next day. Once in our room the TV didn't work and took a day to repair. The next morning there was no breakfast the coffee machine didn't work, this was never rectified during our stay. This is a small basic hotel with clean rooms, but quite noisy and no other facilities. The advantage is it's central location near shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, and the water bus stop for Venice itself.

The room is ok for us with bath room and very warm, the bed is quite small but comfortable, TV is also very small but I don't care about it after all day long in Venice. Next time I will choose Reiter again for my family's trip

We were there for 2 nights. The people were friendly enough and the hotel was easy to find. It's located on the main road so there are plenty of places to eat and the beach is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. My only complaint is that the room and the bathroom were shown to be a lot bigger and different in the pictures than what we actually received. Oh, and if you need televideo, they don't have it on the television.

our room was spacious clean and clear; the clientele wasn't very young but nice and quiet.I think it's a good place when we have children.

Good Value but two problems: Out of season ther's no breakfast except at weekends and if you have a room at the front there a lot of noise at night and very early in the morning

We stayed at this hotel on Lido for 2 nights! We found it very chill and a nice get away from the busy atmosphere of the main Venice islands. The room was great, it was a room to sleep in, very clean, fairly quiet. It was on a great street of restaurants and shops, but that is the only busy street for what seemed miles.

The hotel is on lido which means it is a about a 15 minute ride by water bus to the main sites, but also means it is away from the crowds. The Hotel is old but was clean and comfortable. The rooms are a little small, but to be expected.

This was our second stay at Reiter. If you are looking for a reasonably priced accomodation in Venice, the Lido is always a good idea, and on the Lido, Hotel Reiter offers an excellent price-performance ratio with tidy rooms and a friendly welcome. Anyhow, don't expect more than a 2-Star hotel can promise and consider having breakfast in one of the many bars next door.

The hotel was better than we expected - clean and very central to water bus. Lido is beautiful and I would stay in the Reiter Hotel again when visiting Venice.

Location was good and waterbus service was easy to use. There was no one at the front desk most of the time so room keys were left unattended and easily accessible. Breakfast is served only on weedends and costs 5 euros.

I read the previous comments and by entering the hotel, i was prepared for some bad scenarios. But the only thing which was actually true is the lack of a lift. I had a room on the 4th floor, but for my age it wasnt a problem to get up. There is a air-condition system and since you cant open the roof windows, it makes the room really quiet. The room was big (for one person), and clean (every day sb did my bed :o) so i hadnt to. They serve breakfast, but only on weekends. I payed 30 Eur/night, which is really cheap for the service i got there, so I recommend it to every young traveller

Nice hotel at a reasonable price. Rooms towards the street noisy which means that windows have to be closed. However, excellent fan is provided. Only 3 minutes to the public beach. Number of restaurants nearby. Good recommendation for a short stay in Venice. (boat trip to the center of Venice starts five walking minutes away

A good cheap place to stay. No air con (which we knew in advance) so a bit warm but a fan was provided. Other than that, a quiet room, clean towels as often as you needed, relaxed and informal service.

The hotel looks good enough and the prices are really cheap considering Venice. There were a few problems like finding a bug in the bathroom. Apart from that, the rooms were pretty clean. The staff was very friendly. There was a problem with the water in the second day so we had to move to another hotel. The staff from Reiter Hotel did all the arrangements for this and they gave us an even better hotel.

On the website they said they have internetconnection. They did have that but they didn't mention you had to bring your own laptop. I had expected a computer. I was disappointed not to find that because for me this was an important reason to go to this hotel. I had expected to get new towels every day if I had used one. But this was not case. Furthermore you can leave your the key of your room at the reception desk. BUt there is not always somebody sending behind the desk which meant in this case you could easily take the key of another room and steal other one's belongings. Security is also important for me so I decided to take the key with me in stead of leaving it at the reception desk.

Owner/staff not there to welcome us when we arrived. We arrived very late in the evening, tired, and had to wait another 20 minutes/half hour for owner to return. Keys to rooms left in unsecure area where anyone off the street could walk in and take them. Staff not particularly friendly or welcoming. Website said hairdryer provided - this was not provided - I had to borrow one. Website said no money would be taken prior to stay and to pay whole amount at end of stay - part of cost was taken out of my account beforehand. Was expecting to pay the whole amount at end of stay and we took correct amount of Euros for this purpose. Member of staff who checked us out did not apologise for this.

Lovely rooms, walking distance to the beach. Lido is the perfect place to stay if you want to avoid the crowds but still visit Venice. And the vaporetto (boatbus) ride there provides beautiful views on San Marco etc. The only downside of Reiter hotel was that we lived on the third floor and had many stairs to climb.

My only concern was the state of taps in the bathroom. They were old, plastic covering was partially broken and looked disgustingly! It is just stupid! Beautiful hotel location, comfortable spacious clean room and bathroom, relatively new shower cubicle and old, ugly taps. Managers do something!
