This was a really nice, clean and conveniently located hotel. The room was spacious and the bathroom really nice. The breakfast was perfect, and the staff helpful.

Room was excellent and as advertised. Hotel was quiet, breakfast included was very good and wait staff excellent. Nearby San Marco without the craziness and a great little neighborhood all on its own. My only complaint has to do with the front desk's poor information regarding Alilaguna schedules, gondola availability, and knowledge of entertainment and museums. They were either misinformed and gave bad info or else did not know and could not help. We got one great restaurant recommendation for a place nearby that turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. That said, the front desk competence was poor.

How to reach Hotel Ai Due Principi
By carFrom the A4 highway take the exit towards Venezia and follow the signs to Venice. Park in one of the garages available at Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma and take the line 2 Vaporetto (steamboat) direction Lido. Get off at the San Zaccaria stop, and walk to the Vittorio Emanuele monument. Continue through the inner portico until campo San Zaccaria. Go through it, exit on your left and turn right on campo San Provolo; proceed on fondamenta del Rosmarin where you will find the hotel's entrance.
By train
From the Santa Lucia train station, take line 1, 52, 2, or 42 direction Lido. Get off at the San Zaccaria stop and and walk to the Vittorio Emanuele monument. Continue through the inner portico until campo San Zaccaria. Go through it, exit on your left and turn right on campo San Provolo; proceed on fondamenta del Rosmarin where you will find the hotel's entrance.
By airplane
From Venice Airport (13 km/8 miles), take the shuttle service heading to Piazzale Roma; from there, follow the indications as described above (by car).
Alternatively, you can take the Alilaguna motorboat (blue or red line) and get off at San Marco. From there, walk until the monument of Vittorio Emanuele and go across the inner portico until campo San Zaccaria. Go through it, exit on your left and turn right on campo San Provolo; continue on fondamenta del Rosmarin where the Ai Due Principi Hotel is located.
