I was very pleased with this hotel and grateful for excellent air conditioning, comfortable bed, and excellent morning breakfast. Top notch location, too.

The room as a little small, but otherwise service was great and room was very clean. The breakfast was pretty good, but you have to wake up early to get the good stuff.

We didn't have any problems while there. But there was another couple complaining to the clerk that someone had gone into their room and opened the window, and that their luggage had been tampered with. It could have been the staff, but it also could have been someone from another building, because our window opened out to another building that was maybe 3 feet away. You could easily hop across through the window. Anyhow, nothing happened to us. But I did get a creepy feeling from one of the older men at the front desk. The breakfast area is only big enough for 2 couples and they have very little to offer. Not a good continental breakfast. The croissants were bad. Our room was clean, and our bathroom was nice. Good shower, etc. I just probably wouldn't stay there again. We asked for a double bed and it was just 2 twin beds side by side. Decor was ok. Nothing too special. No view out the windows. Just another building. Location was great, though. Very close to the Santa Lucia train station, which is why we picked it.

Thanks. It is good place where you can stay in Venice for 2-3 days.

Excellent location near station, in one of the main shopping areas. Small, but clean. We always just look for a place to sleep and don't spend much time there and normally I would have said "excellent price-quality-ratio", although pictures make the place seem much more spacious as it is. HOWEVER - although my sisters and I all are rather lightweights, the toilet seat broke while we were there (fortunately nobody got hurt; it was certainly not our fault, unless you consider it a fault to sit down on it). Still, the hotel manager wanted us to pay for the toilet seat and when I was not willing to do that he really got loud, impolite and even insulting! I will definitly never ever get near this place again! I actually asked them to call the police. Only then did the quarrel stop. - Should you decide to stay there nevertheless, you better watch out, they also have very delicate plastic chairs in the breakfast area. You better pray that none of them breaks when you sit down there (which might easily happen considering their quality), otherwise the manager might attack you even worse.

Close to train station, easy to find-this is very important in Venice. Room is clean and small(that is O.K.) The only thing is shower water not strong enough and only come out with warm water. The WiFi internet service not working on the day we stay.

When we arrived at the Adriatico the man at reception was very unwelcoming (the man with a beard). Luckily everyone else who worked there turned out to be much friendlier and more helpful. We were in Venice during the big floods and this was a good hotel to be in as we could still access many areas from this high point. It was also close to the station and easy to find. Internet access is very expensive at 8 euros per hour. Breakfast was okay.

We stayed in Europe for a month and stayed in several hotel rooms around the same price range. This was the best room we stayed in. Free breakfast, nice people, great location next to train station. The rooms were clean. The bed was big enough for the two of us. The bathroom was clean and the shower was roomy. We loved this place! We would definitely stay here again as well as recommend to family and friends.

We arrived mid-evening (9pm) and the nice man at the desk carried our luggage up the stairs. I requested a ground floor, but there is no ground floor, and we were put on the next floor. Much to our chagrin the AC didn't work so it made for a terribly hot night, but the next morning we were promptly moved to a room with working AC. Overall the rooms are lovely and clean; fairly spacious by European standards for the price. Nice people. Breakfast is pre-packaged croissants/jams and individually boxed cereal. Protein would be a nice addition. Coffee from a machine. For the price and proximity to train station I recommend this property.

Location was fantastic, 5mins from main train station, very easy to find. Hotel far exceeded our expectations, and was immaculate with regards to cleanliness. For the size of the room, it was pricey, but what else do you expect for Venice? Hotel was located in a nice part of town with lots of restaurants nearby, but is at least a 30min walk to San Marco square. Staff were helpful with bags (great because there were lots of stairs!), and kindly provided us with a boxed breakfast (generous portions) for our very early rise. The Overnight receptionist was very helpful.

Great location right next to train station and restaurants. Its the best hotel i've stayed in Venice. Property is remodeled and staff is very kind. The only thing is there is no elevator but thats no problem if traveling light and also breakfast room is just 4 tables seen on picture and very very basic, just bread, jam, juice and chocolate from a machine.

My mother and I spent some days in june/july 2008 in Venice. It was important that the Hotel was not to far to go and that it was clean and rather quiet. The hotel was better than expected: very nice interieur, particular it was very clean and there was very friendly staff. The only thing: there should be a chair or something like that in the bathroom to put things on it instead of the floor.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is very strategically located, near the train station, the Grand Canal and a variety of good restaurants and bars. The staff were courteous and friendly, and the room was clean and quiet. The hotel offered good value for money.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was central to many areas of Venice along with both the train and bus stations which made for easy access in to, and out of, Venice without a lot of walking and bridge climbing that can be difficult with suitcases. Clean, comfortable, friendly and pleasant. Well recommended.

This hotel is literally steps from the train station. This was very helpful because our group consisted of 3 backpacking girls. The hotel is cute as can be. Rooms are small, but normal for Italy. The hotel is right smack in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Venice. Our room windows faced a back alley that was rather loud in the early mornings with locals and shop owners, not horrible though. I am so glad I took the chance and booked this room without reviews, and that I did not choose a hotel in Lido, which would have caused us to have to take the vaperattos (water taxis) everywhere. This ended up to be one of the nicest hotels I stayed in during my month-long trip of Italy, Sicily, and Greece.

Easy walk from the train station. two minutes!! Just like they say! Rooms are new along with bath. Hotel staff was just OK. You will have to haul your own luggage up a flight of stairs to the hotel level.
USA, May 2007
My daughter, her boyfriend and myself were on a budget, and for 3 people this was actually cheaper than most hostels. We were only in Venice for one night - arriving late and leaving late the next day! Arrival was convenient because of its close proximity to the train station. We were taking a late night train, and didn't want to pay for a second night, and the hotel was generous enough to hold our bags until past 10pm! The room was small, but bigger than about 80% of the other budget hotels we stayed at in Europe. There was room for out bags to be out of the way, and the bathroom was very nice, recently remodeled. Included in the price was a light breakfast, it wasn't anything fancy, your standard European bread, jelly, coffee and tang! Overall, not a bad experience, if what you are looking for is a good price with no frills, this will work!

We were only in Venice for one night - arriving late in the afternoon and leaving very early the next morning so a hotel close to the train station was a must have for us. Unfortunately this is one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in (and considering the price it is THE WORST hotel we have ever stayed in). Our room was one level up from the very busy/noisy street below. When we first entered the room is was full of smoke. While it looks like the room was recently updated with new furniture and the bathroom remodeled, the shower head was full of mold and the AC had been turned off since the "seasons have changed" (although it was very warm outside). Because of the street below we had to close the window to sleep and were stuck in a very smokey, very hot, very small room. That being said, the hotel is very conveniently located to the train station - just a couple minutes walking.

The hotel location is great. It is very convenience for us as we travel by train, just a short distance from the train station. Quiet & clean rooms & bathroom. The only things is the beds are hard but is still good value for money place to stay. Lots of shops & restaurants around. Not far is the water taxi stop which you can board it to travel around Venice. Rememer to get a Venice card as we found it so useful & cheap.

The staff at the reception were excellent. They were very helpful to us, answering all our questions with friendliness and competence. The room was clean and spacious, plenty of room for our luggage to not impede our movement, the bathroom was very clean and well equipped. The Hotel's location, close to Railway Station, was perfect for us.

Excellent hotel. Very small room but very clean and very helpful staff. Good location, just a short walk from the train station. Price was a little high but apparently average for Venice. Only complaint: no elevator--must walk up a narrow flight of stairs with suitcase and bags.

Although the rooms were clean, our experiences with the staff were very unpleasant. One man was rude and the other was incompetent - he didn't know how to bill our credit card and insisted we pay by cash from the nearby atm or bancomat. Their system where they keep the room key while you are out does not make me feel safe. Particularly since the staff changes regularly and they don't check ID before handing out room keys again. I would not stay here again. The hotels we stayed at in Rome and Florence were much more welcoming.

Adriatico is very close to the train station. It is in a perfect location, our room overlooked the bustling street. The employees were very curtious. We stayed only one night in Venice. The room is very small, but works. We weren't in there too much. Venice is very expensive. The location was key for us.

Our stay at the Adriatico was great! We enjoyed the front desk staf all were very helpful. Our room was exactly as pictured on the internet as was the breakfast room. The hotel is ideally located 2 blocks from the main train station and mixed amongst 2,3,& 4 star hotel as well as wonderful shops and vendors. My daughter and I were in Venice in June 2005 and it was hot! We were so glad to have an effective air-conditioner in our room.

We had a two person room with bath and air. The room was a bit small, but charmingly decorated and the bath was very nice. Air conditioner gave us relief from the high temps. Breakfast was the usual bread, jam, and coffee. Breakfast room was small and hot, but otherwise fine. Location was near the train station and bus plaza (to airport); the busy shopping street below was fun. We had beautiful walks and were easily located for boats trips to all of Venice and the islands. Recommended if you like a pleasant Venician tourist hotel.

Hotel Adriatico is very convenient to the train station (no boat travel between the train and hotel), and believe me, in a city that travels by boat, that’s important!
