Great hotel for the price. However, a bit of a problem as we booked specificaly this hotel, but got an e-mail, 2 days before arrival that there was a mix up with our rooms and we would be relocated to the sister hotel in a less desireable area and with poorer reviews. Upon my imidiate dissapointment and a few e-mails back and forth we were relocated back to our original booking! Once this mix up was cleared up, we had a great stay at this hotel and were very satisfied with our stay. However, be aware that there is no constant concierge on site and that there is only 1 hotel employee on site about 3 to 4 hours in the morning.

We stayed in Venice for a few days prior to getting onto a cruise ship. The hotel was nice however getting to it was difficult. We had a lot of luggage. We took a 'water taxi' from the airport. Where we were dropped off was a few blocks away from the hotel. We had to walk with all the bags to the hotel. There was a fellow who was there to check us in, who eventually came and helped us but normally there isn't anyone at the front desk. I believe they only have someone on reception when you check in. The only other staff we saw were the ladies who prepared breakfast which was fairly good. One was fairly pleasant the other not very friendly and neither spoke English. The hotel was very quiet and nice but a bit of a walk to get to the main sites. The room was nice and quiet and a fair size as we had 4 people in the room and it was still comfortable.

Dear all, we stayed in hotel just one night to celebrate our 5 th anniversary of our relationship and we were absolutely satisfied. It is true that the woman on reception had problem with english, but somehow we understand each other. She was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, very near to centre. It is in small street which can be harder to find, but it is romantic sourrounding. Hotel room was equipped with historic equipment like it chateau, everything in gold and glass, bathroom with jacuzzi shower. Everything was completely clean and no broken things.Breakfast was very nice, wide choice.

I spent a night with my family (wife + 3 children). They were flexible to our wishes, and we liked very much the room and the view.

Nice stay, very pleasant location and area. The room is very comfortable and quiet!! Unfortunately, they should inform you that there is nobody waiting for you at arrival (at least it was my case). Nobody at the reception, during all my stay (not really important for me, but it could be for other customers). The buffet is quite good but restricted food (two slides of bread for one person and a croissant). The charming place and the comfort of the room is really the big positive point of the hotel (not really the service).

a lovely small hotel. Be sure to take a marked map with you, as venice can be very confusing to locate and identify the passages.

It is a pleasant small hotel very close to St Marc and to Rialto. You will need a good map to find it. The only problem is that during the day there is nobody at the reception and you have to call at the other Pisani hotel.

Our room was with a "canal view" which was a stretch. Was quite noisy early in a.m. we were 4 adults to one room and it was VERY packed - could hardly walk in room to get to beds. Caretaker v. nice woman- only public area was breakfast room - continental b'fast was lacklustre (instant coffee for example). Would stay there again but with 2 rooms. Hard to tell from ad what exactly the rooms were like. Location excellent - convenient. No interaction with staff except at breakfast which was O.K.

The room was very good. We aarived late at night and the man at the front desk was upset because he had been waiting for me. We checkedin and then he left. I managed to get my luggage up the steep stairs and had to close the front door. There is no night service. In the morning the same person prepares breakfast, cleans the room and is also the cashier. It is quite complicated to find the hotel, but for the price it is not that bad. Try to find something closer tho the Grand Canal. Your back will greatly appreciate it.

Some issues would be: -internet only in the breakfast room and available only in the morning. -employees barely speak English. Besides that, it's a very nice hotel with very luxurious rooms.

Lovely characteristic hotel in great location to explore Venice but the initial map to get there was awful and it took us an hour to find the hotel, and communication with the apparent "mulitilingual" staff was poor. It did not say anywhere that there are no staff on site so we stood outside a door for 20 minutes after a long journey. The breakfast was adequate with no choices really and the breakfast maid checked us out on our last day and would not make us a cup of tea 10 minutes before breakfast as we were leaving prior to breakfast! Perhaps tea and coffee facilities could be put in the rooms.

This comment is actually for the Lugana Canal, also owned by the same people. At the last minute, our location was changed due to work problems at Casa Pisani. They were very kind, though, and upgraded us to a junior suite.

Fiding this hotel is very difficult and I even speak Italian. Once we arrived the chinese woman did not seem to really know how to check us in or how to explain anything to us. The room was beautiful but it was unusaully hot in Venice and teh air condition never seemed to work so we left the windows open. WE then had msoquito issues. The lady in the morning was very nice and helpful but spoke no English so once again I was lucky I spoke Italian. WE got lost several times going back to the hotel fro the cetner of town. I think if I go to Venice again I would stay centrally located and avoid getting lost so much since it is very stressful in an unknown place.

We were impressed by the hotel. The room was beautifully decorated. My only criticism is that breakfast could be a little more imaginative. The cereal was a bit tasteless and the bread was uninspiring. Not everyone wants a croissant with jam inside - plain croissant would be good too. We eat at Ristorante da Bruno in Calle del Paradiso and at a ristorante down along the Fondamenta della Misericordia. We were in Venice for a couple of days.

The hotel was very difficult to find. There are no English speaking channels on the television. There is no one to answer the phone at all times. I would not recommend this hotel because it's too expensive for the poor service and remote location in Venice.

I was disappointed the hotel accomodations outside the room were so modest. The hotel was difficult to find and not having staff 24x7 is an inconvenience. They provide free Internet access, but only from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Breakfast was modest compared to other hotels we've stayed at. We did not have a view of the canal. If you want a quiet little hotel, this may be a good place to stay, but I would prefer to look elsewhere next time we go to Venice.

Casa Pisani Canal was a real find! It was like staying at a palazzo - a gem of a hotel in a side alley. We would definitely stay there again. The only challenge was finding the location - make sure that you get specific directions like nearby piazzas and churches. After being lost for one hour and 45 minutes, someone finally picked us up at a nearby hotel and walked us to Casa Pisani Canal.

We spent 1 hour trying to find the hotel! Nobody knew where it was when we asked. We were sent all over the city. It's on a very small street that only one waiter at a nearby restaurant knew of. Very nice accomodations...once you get there. Make sure you get clear directions from the hotel before you arrive!

This tiny (5 room) hotel is in a great location both near (not on top of) and far enough (but not on the outskirts of town) from Piazza San Marco. We had a junior suite overlooking canals and it was wonderful. There is staff to serve breakfast and clean the rooms, but no one is there after 2pm. Accordingly, guests do need to check-in at the Locanda Canal then walk over, but this is fine.

We was not able to leave our baggage in this hotel. After our checkout, we had to move it to the other hotel that was run the same manager. Although we had booked the room for two nights, we had to change the rooms. The staff were very kindness. And the location is really convenient for sightseeing in Venezia.

Lovely quiet location. Suites have great canal view. Not a regular "hotel" as such, and staff only on site for breakfasts/check out. When you arrive someone runs round from the sister hotel to check you in! Breakfast was a bit soul-less, and coffee was very disappointing - we ended up going out for breakfast instead. If arriving from airport take Alilaguna boat and disembark at Fondamente Nuove (5 euro). Make sure you put your suitcase in the correct pile otherwise it will be buried and you will have to go on to San Marco!

The hotel was very nice but the front door is always locked and if the front desk is empty (as it was when we checked in) you'll need to call their sister hotel. They'll send someone over to check you in.

This hotel worked out well but there were a couple of problems: 1. We found out, after arriving, that it is an annex to another hotel. There is no one there except to make breakfast and clean the rooms. This was fine except on our arrival when the door was locked and there was no one there to open it! There is a note on the door stating - if in difficulty call this number. With suitcases, no cell phones and not knowing where the nearest public phone was we somehow had to call and ask for someone to come over to open the door for us. We should have been told about this before we arrived, either when booking or when we confirmed our reservation by phone a couple of days before. 2. The hotel is in a good location but it is very hard to find. The instructions on the web and given to us by phone simplified things considerably. Thankfully we had looked at a map of Venice on the web before travelling and had written down directions from that map. Apart from these two problems, that were soon forgotten, the hotel worked out fine. Quiet, clean, safe and in a good location.

We were not able to find the Casa Pisani with the map provided. In the rain,we got to the hotel and luckily a guest was at the door, as it was locked. The manager/owner was at their other hotel.Once he arrived,he notified us that there was no room and needed to walk to their other facility. We again had to walk in the rain. They upgraded our room at no extra charge from our original reserved price. A different manager on our departure date was extremely gracious to us.The hotel does say they have a lift which is not an elevator and we needed to carry our bags up to the 3rd floor. We are elderly and that was a problem.

Rooms were well-appointed but small, even by European standards. Our biggest complaint is that no one was at the hotel to let us inside. A small sign alerts visitors that one should call the hotel's sister property to inform them of your arrival. When saddled with luggage and located in an area not well-endowed with phones, this was a hassel. There should be a direct line to the other hotel to avoid this inconvenience, particularly at this price. Also, the restaurant recommended by the staff was pricey and not that great. We particularly objected to hearing the words "Americans" during the conversation between the hotel employee and the restaurant when reservations were made. This made us feel as if we were being set up for a tourist trap. Once inside, the hotel is very clean and well-maintained.

Had formed an under expectation prior to arriving at the B&B as our previous hotel stay was a little underwhelming. After getting to the room, however, we were rewarded beyond our expectation. Ours was a junior suite that had two windows overlooking Rio San Marina with Casanova's palazzo directly across the canal. The room was spacious by Italian standards with very excellent equipment/bathroom. I thought for the price we got quite a bargain for Venice. We had a 5 minute walk to Ponte Rialto, although Calle del Erbe is very small and not that attractive. One word of caution -- this is a B&B and is only staffed from around 7 am to 2 pm. If you arrive after 2, immediately call the number listed on the door. Someone from another Locanda hotel will come and let you in. We (along with others who arrived after us) stood outside for some time before we got in. But forgetting the wait, the B&B is definitely worth the price. The regular staff lady was very nice, helpful, and treated us well. One small detractor was that we had the same breakfast fare each of the 3 mornings. A little variety would have been welcomed.

Casa Pisani Canal is a beautiful hotel. The entire property is covered in Venetian fabrics and every room has Murano glass chandaliers. Despite this I probably would not stay there again. The neighborhood was kind of dead, the breakfast was adequate (well the coffee was good)and there is almost no staff in the hotel. The advice we got about restuarants from the concierge, when we finally found him, was not great. Next time I'm gonna spring in and stay in better hotel on the Grand Canal.

The rooms were very good and the location is OK. this is our third visit to Venice.. but the only drawback is that thereis no one at the reception. we had to go to another hotel where somebody accompanied us for check-in at this hotel. also for breakfast and to keep ur bags u need to go to another hotel. so it can be a bit inconvenient. the romms were excellent for the price quoted. so if u can ignore the other inconveniences it is good value for money.

We got VERY lost walking to the hotel from the water bus, but that is part of dealing with Venice. When we got there, there was no one on duty to check us in; luckily some other guests were returning to their room and let us in and called for us. Our room was in another property, which was a long walk from the first one, but a nice room, and closer to San Marco square. We had the four-person room, which by European standards was pretty spacious, and beautifully decorated. Breakfast area was nice, and internet was operable in breakfast area. I would suggest better directions to the property, and a note about the possibility of being placed in another location.

The room was perfect, the location ideal. It was very very quiet inside and also no ambient street noise. The room was spotless, the bathroom modern with a superb shower. Very Venetian too. The only problemwas that the telly didn't work in English, but then again you don't go to Venice to watch telly!
