exterior
Hotel Ca' Pozzo Inn boasting an enviable position in the heart of Venice, is a strikingly beautiful hotel which combines the purity and harmony of a minimalist design with tranquillity and comfort.
Situated in the city's Cannaregio district, in the ancient and picturesque Ghetto di Venezia (Jewish Ghetto of Venice), the Ca' Pozzo Inn Hotel is just a stone's throw away from Ponte delle Guglie Bridge and in close proximity to the stunning Venice Casino and main railway station. The hotel's design, characterised by a strong Japanese influence, reflects meticulous attention to detail. Some of the high quality materials utilized throughout the property include exclusive Venetian-style flooring, precious woods and Venetian Marmorino plasterworks. Together these elements blend perfectly to create an extremely pleasing, regenerative atmosphere, totally unique to Venice.

... at last, a Venice hotel without venetian kitsch: a few steps from the rail station (and vaporetto) but very very comfortable and quiet, with a touch of good design, excellent bathrooms and a very very good breakfast. Highly recommended.

no I ve send others also customers to stay in this hotel. I like the area I prefer modern rooms instead of the usual Gold style in Venice

This was our seventh visit to Venice. This time for a week when we stayed in two different hotels. Spacious clean room. The hotel´s own description talked about "The purity and balance of a minimalist design" but to me the furnishing was boring and without fantasy. There was a lack of comfortat least in our room (called P1). Strange lamps did not give adequate light. A mini kitchenette in one of the wardrobes. The only thing was that the water was not plugged in! Breakfast OK. A plus for the location.

Wonderful place to stay! It's boxed in by other buildings but when you're in Venice, who needs a hotel with a view? Would stay there again.

Found this to be an excellent hotel, very clean and staff were very helpful and pleasant.Hotel is situated within walking distance of buses and trains and in a good area.Only fault I could find is that it could be better sign posted as it is up a tunnel and not easily spotted.Had a very enjoyable stay at Ca'Pozzo Inn and would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Venice.

We opted to pay the extra fee for a double comfort room. Which bascially is the same as a double standard room, except that there is a mini kitchenette in one of the wardrobes. Ours wasnt working! (i.e. no water from taps!) Although the room we got was excellent it wasnt the room we requested at the time of booking. Make sure you request a room from the pics on the website. But that was a small complaint. As it was our 3rd visit to venice we knew where to go, but we asked the chap at the frontdesk where the best seafood restaurant was and he pointed us to a lovely, little locals place, away from tourists. Thanks! Location of Ca' Pozzo is ideal. We arrived via train and the directions were spot on! The breakfast was a little sparse. Although I had enough of continental breakfasts by then! My overall opinion of Ca' Pozzo is a very chic, boutique style hotel, however a little overpriced!

This is a very stylish hotel, extremely modern and trendy, away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to everything. Vaporetto stop right outside. We arrived late and missed the last vaporetto but were pleasantly surprised that it was only about a 15 minute walk from the bus station. It's only 5 minutes walk from the train station. Don't believe any reports that it is hard to find, it's easy! Just follow the map. It is at the end of an alley that smells of fish but don't let that put you off,it's well lit and well signed. I'd say the hotel is ideal for younger couples, say 18-45. It doesn't have the charm of a Venetian palace but then there are thousands of them to see anyway! My complaints would be that it is expensive, but then everything is expensive in Venice. We were warned it was expensive in Venice but we had no idea it would be THAT expensive!! 8 euros average for a small beer! We were even charged 2 euros each for our napkins in one restaurant-crazy! Advice- always leave tips in restaurants. They'll chase after you if you don't. On our first night, the guy on duty wandered around, banging about preparing for the next day and kept me awake all night which didn't put me in the best of moods! The minibar (although free, which they failed to tell us) only contains water and coke so that was a bit disappointing. The bar they say they have is laughable, if not non-existent. One small niggle my fiance had was that there was no mirror on the dressing table which was a bit of an oversight. Complain to the staff about that cos we forgot to mention it, i'm sure they'll sort that eventually. Get there early for breakfast or you'll find yourself cramped at a table with others. I could NOT complain about the breakfast or the coffee though, there was enough lovely stuff to fill us up plenty(fantastic cakes!).We walked everywhere from the hotel, and we found that the distance away from St. Mark's Sq was just right so as we got to see more of the real Venice. Direction for the hotel needs to be updated. The hotel is directly next to the water bus station, NOT on the other side of the bridge.

We found Ca' Pozzo a great place to stay. The room was spacious and very tasteful. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they even found us another hotel when we decided to stay in Venice longer and they couldn't accommodate us. We would definitely stay there again.

My cousin and I are two female senior citizens. We foung this to be a very pretty hotel; very modern with great art! The beds are comfortable and the shower bigger than in most European bathrooms. The staff was extremely kind and helpful and the continental breakfast adequate. There is a safe in the room for your valuables. The location is only a short, walk from the train station and very convenient to good restaurants and nice shops. It was a easy, pleasant walk to catch a water bus or taxi. Our only complaint was the necessary walk through a dark tunnel, off of the street leading to the hotel, that smells like fish.

What a great experience! An accomodation I'd like to recommend highly to all travellers. Location superb, staff most friendly, caring and helpful, rooms spacious with ample facilities to store your belongings, excellent beds, clean and surprisingly complete equipped bathroom - and the hotel itself is worth to see, if you do not mind to miss Venetian kitsch but instead like to encounter tasteful and modern facilities. Once you have found your way to the hotel entrance (which is not too easy for the first time!) you'll feel safe and secure and comfortable every time you enter and stay. It's rather expensive, yes, but you get quite a lot for your money - and besides: what is actually low-priced in Venice?

We really liked the hotel and stayed here for 3 nights. It is slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the centre so as well as doing the main tourist attractions we really enjoyed wandering around the streets around the Jewish quarter and north of there. The fact that you get off the vaporetto and the hotel is a stone's throw away is a major bonus when arriving and leaving. We would stay here again. I didn't rate breakfast particularly but that's a minor problem with all the restaurants and bars around town.

We had a great time at the Ca'Pozzo Inn. It met the standards we expected, in relation to the price and from what we read in the venere.com reviews. The staff were well trained. More power to Ca' Pozzo Inn.

It was so refreshing to stay in a "modern art" hotel instead of the run of the mill "Venitan Bordello" style. My wife & I were given a free upgrade that had a private patio w/deck chairs & umbrella-very nice. The breakfast was more than ample. For those who need to return to the airport, there is the new Lagunia boat service (12 Euros)at the end of the calle. No more hastle at the Plazza Roma! Also, the sopergeto now has very good lighting at night with festive lights running the length of the alleyway. For the price, you can't beat Ca' Pozzo.

We got a superior double which justified its "superyority"-spacious, nicely furnished with contemporary design, very comfortable, newly renovated, flat and large good quality TV. Good breakfast in a pleasant dining room. The location is very convenient: A Vaporetto station just in front of the hotel enterance, from which we could get to Piazalle Roma (2 stops)or Ferrovia station (1 stop) with our luggage to the airport busses. Negative points: The internet connection in the reading room failed often. The common ground balcony with another room slightly spoiled our privacy. The bathroom exhauster fan was noisy. The bed corners were sharp and not very safe. We stayed before in the Abazzia hotel nearby, which we consider as an excellent hotel, but among those two we prefer Ca'Pozzo.

What a fantastic hotel, with great style. It should be rated ****. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet, yet central, just next to Guglie bridge and vaparetto stops for 41/42 and 51/52, with a 10-15 minute walk to Pizzale Roma. Wide choice of restauants, bars, baker shops, clothes shops and markets very close by. We would not consider staying anywhwere else in Venice.

We would stay here again. It suited us perfectly as we had been 4 times to Venice and this was exactly what we were looking for - modern and friendly, beside a boat stop, knew there was no view but courtyard was nice. The alleyway is unfortunately not very welcoming but doesn't matter because of the design, common areas and bedrooms make up for it, not to mention the very good staff.

Summa sumarum empfehlenswert.

Very welcoming staff, the room was clean, modern and pleasant. The breakfast was very good. The location was perfect, near to the Piazza Roma as we arrived by bus and near to a vaporetto station. Also in pleasant walking distance from all main sites. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel and would highly recommend it.

I can't say enough nice things about this hotel. The staff were amazingly helpful (I had accidentally misplaced my passport in Milan before taking the train to Venice and the staff were very helpful in tracking it down). The property is the epitome of modern cool, nestled into an ancient warren of buildings. We had a double comfort room, which was spotless, spacious and had a small adjoining patio. The bathroom was modern and had a larger shower stall. We loved the location, just a ten minute walk and one bridge away from the train station. Note, keep your eyes peeled the first time you walk to the hotel, it is tucked back through a little alley. Pay close attention to the map on the Venere site and you will be OK. The breakfast room is very nice and there is a barista on duty who makes wonderful expresso drinks during breakfast. The art in the rooms and in the halls is modern and cool. We were sad to leave Venice and the Ca' Pozzo Inn. We will definitely return.

We were very impressed with the Ca Pozzo as a boutique hotel and would definitely recommend it highly - the only thing 'missing' was a Venetian flavour - no views of canals or feeling of being in an old palazzo, so if that is what you are looking for, it is probably not a good choice. Otherwise, couldn't fault it.

The quality of the room was excellent and for once reflected the photographs on the website and proved to be very good value for money. The staff were welcoming and helpful although not all had English. The breakfast was ok, more choice would be good - however the coffee was excellent.

We had a fantastic time at Ca Pozzo Inn. Although the room was not cheap, the welcoming of the staff, the quality of the service, the cleanliness of the room, the modern and unusual decor, the quietness of the suroundings and above all the ideal location (first,it was easy to find and 5 minute walk from St Lucia train station, and with a vaporetto stop just outside the hotel) was worth every penny. Breakfast also was good. We will definitely book this hotel again next time we are in Venice!!

I will use this hotel next year when I hope to visit Venice again. The helpful and friendly staff, cleanliness and breakfast made this a very good place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of central Venice. However I will ask not to be booked into room 106 / 107 since these rooms overlook the alley where the early morning fish for the market stalls is delivered and which were therefore rather noisy some mornings. Also someone paced about in the rooms above at all times of night which was disturbing.
