Ca' Pisani Hotel - Venice
Dorsoduro 979 - Venice
1-877-662-6988A unique alternative to the classic Venetian hotel, the property is housed in a delightful, 3-story late 16th-century building which combines original architectural elements with 1930s-1940s decor and 21st-century technology.
Ca' Pisani Hotel offers a world of details: every particular has been thoughtfully chosen, considered, designed, and created with a purpose, from the reception counter and mail box, to the intricately designed fish-shaped ebony room keys and beautiful door handles.

Kind of pricy - but mostly worth it. Great design hotel in a good location for access to Accademia, and a 20 min walk from St Marks square. Included breakfast was very good, with great variety for those that want hot/cold/cereal/sweet/fruit or whatever.

Very nice recently updated decor. The breakfast was excellent with the short-haired blonde waitress delightful and friendly. Staff very helpful. Location slightly off the beaten path but close enough to walk or easily take the vaporetto.

The decor is excellent (for people who like Art Deco) and there are a lot of original pieces to admire. But to feel really good in a hotel you need more than outwardness. The soul of a hotel should be the employees (or the owner in smaller hotels). The staff there was not really unfriendly, but a little uninterested and blasé.

This is a very nice hotel. We stayed in a superior room, which was pleasant and spacious. The people at the desk are friendly and helpful (we wanted pizza in the room one night, so they pointed me to a good place that did take-away and then gave us plates and cutlery). The air conditioning was good the bed was fine and there were curtains and electric shades and electric Venetian blinds so the room was quite dark enough. There were lots of available electrical outlets, a rarity. Aside from breakfast (which was fine, though the servers seemed constantly overwhelmed, even when there were few people), there is no real food to be had in the hotel. Overall, I think everything is attractive, but sometimes overdesigned. There were probably 25 things that looked like light switches, but only about half of them were (several were for the electric window coverings). The door handles were beautiful, but the Do Not Disturb signs don't fit over them. The shower has 4 different controls for a total of 6 showerheads and a handheld sprayer. The desk was interesting-looking, but not functional. Nothing really bad, just minor annoyances. The location is terrific and a big part of the appeal. It's an easy walk to most of the sites and it's convenient to multiple water bus lines. It is also in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood, with very little tourist traffic and a great waterfront walk with restaurants and gelato places within a couple of blocks, and there's a nice supermarket about 10 minutes away.

We were in Venice for our 20th wedding anniversary. Ca' Pisani was fantastic. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful, the hotel itself was beautiful and we were thrilled with the location.

This is our 2nd trip to Venice. First time we stayed in one of the very top hotels but found it fusty, dusty, noisy, the room cramped and gut-wrenchingly expensive. One day we had an excellent lunch at Ca Pisani and liked the modern look of the place, also away from the crowds So that that is why we booked Ca Pisani for our 2nd visit and will certainly go there again next time. Very conveniently but quietly located. Excellent food.

Ca'Pisani is a really super hotel. The staff are the most helpful I have come across anywhere and the surroundings are most attractive. The restaurant was also excellent for simple meals and the service was most attentive. If I was going to Venice again I would stay there.

This is a hotel in an excellent location for sightseeing and eating out. Very modern and design-oriented renovation finished only a few years ago. Interesting wine and cheese bar in the souterrain of the hotel itself.

A stylish hotel with weak management would be my guess. some of the finishing touches missing, occassionally surly staff, but overall of good standard.

Location map wasn't clear and doesn't show just how central the hotel is and what a great and convenient location it is. Hot water not that hot sometimes. Shame the hotel guide books in the rooms aren't complimentary, although the only hotel I've ever stayed in where the bottled water in the mini-bar is complimentary - very nice touch. Shame no fast internet connection in the rooms and no swimming pool.

Very convenient & quiet place. Reception people are very kind in general. Change towles twice a day. As this is a design hotel, interior is very nice, but we were annoyed by many switches. Needed a couple of days to understand which switch is for which light. Another thing being annoyed was that house keeping people threw away small empty bottles of mineral water we put on a table without our permission while we had breakfast(just for 30 minutes). We were using them bringing water when we were roaming in the town. It was very hot & dry during our visit there, and it's more convenient than bringing a 2-litter bottele. I think house keeping staff should not touch anything of guest except the things in the trash box. But other things are very good, and I would like to stay Ca' Pisani again next time I visit Venezia.

The hotel was fantastic, if you are a lover of design you'll love this. I would class this a luxurious. It was a real pleasure to stay here. I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are in Venice for a special occassion. Not cheap but I think you get what you pay for and in this respect I would say its value for money.

Ca'Pisani is an excellent hotel, conveniently located in Venice. The service and welcoming were nice and efficient. I particularly appreciated the fact that the rooms were available at 9am. It was a pleasure to be able to rest after a night in the train.
