Hotel Duchess is situated in Varna, Bulgaria's third-largest city and the country's main port. The city holds an annual international music festival from mid June to mid July.
The villa has been completely refurbished and converted into a hotel with conference facilities. From the hotel you can make excursions to the Black Sea and the Danube River, visit the sights of Varna or the many places of interest within the region.
Duchess features a bar and a conference room for meetings, training sessions or cultural events. There are four bedrooms on the first floor and other four rooms on the second floor, most of them facing the sea.

All of the bedrooms have double-glazed windows and a private bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower.

Despite the hotel actually being closed for some refurbishment, and the website should not have let me booked aroom, the owner was adamant we should stay. Very comfortable, warm rooms with the staff so willing to help out with things like laundry, and taking me to the airport! Only one minor criticism was the shower fittings which took up far too much of the shower space (for the first part of my stay) I actually stayed for New Year too. The hotel is set in lovely gardens with lots of hidden restaurants.

Stayed at this hotel and the manager was so attentive to my needs. I has a crisis of gout, he found a doctor for me, made sure I was taken care of and faclitated all my visits to the beach on the Black Sea and to the downtown of Varna.All the staff were as competent and out going as the Manager.

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.
