Hotel De France - Vannes

Staff at the front desk were very helpful. Good value - we would come back again. On street parking was not easy nearby. The old city centre was within easy walking distance.

It was very pleasant stay in a hotel with friendly and professional staff, satisfactory amenities and excellent location especially for those travelling by train.

We found all the staff extremely friendly and helpful.The hotel was well placed for exploring the city, and the staff were very helpful in advising us of 'what was where' . Very good room ,, clean, roomy, . The breakfast was very good, and the lady who 'managed the food was always most attentive . Definitely the best hotel we stayed in on this holiday.

Excellent value for money - we had a ground floor family room, very spacious, clean and quiet. Very friendly receptionist! Hotel is in a nice area close to the town centre. Recommended.

Modern new hotel near the old town (15 minutes walk). Clean, cute decoration, friendly staff. If I ever go to Vannes I will definitely come back to this hotel.

The owner was extremely helpful, making us very welcome and suggesting restaurants and itineraries for trips out. She did not speak English which could have been difficult for non-French speakers. The decor is very quirky and the breakfasts were really excellent and varied daily. I would definitely use Hotel De France if visiting the area again.

This is a nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. It is situated a 7-10 minute walk from the center of Vannes. The rooms are small and somewhat dark, but it is a good value for the price paid.

Very happy with hotel and it was well signposted so found it easily. Getting out to the main road was not so easy----there were new roads being built and the signing for access to the motorway was very bad. Breakfast was expensive!

Very good hotel for this price

We stayed in a family room which was a double bed, single bed with pullout bed. Once the beds were out, there wasn't a lot of room, but we weren't in our room for very long anyway. Parking was easy on the roadside, there is parking offroad avail. but was all booked up by the time we asked about it. The staff were VERY friendly and welcoming. Really helpful and gave us a map and restaurant recommendations. I would definately stay there again!!!! It is about a 5 min walk to the old part of town and 10 min to the port. Lots of places to eat or you can eat at the hotel.

Hotel owners very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. Very clean and comfortable room. Would be delighted to return again in the future.

Wrong room allocated on arrival (should have been double grand comfort)but was allocated a standard twin. Large shower room for disabled use with only one small bulb working over the washbasin (other bulb missing) - not replaced in two days. No soap tray in shower so had to balance it on the pipe fitting. No mirror in bedroom (leaving only the very poorly lit mirror in the shower room) Only three cheap plastic hangers in the curtained off corner of the room that served as the wardrobe none of which were suitable for trousers. Only one dining room type chair for a double room. Only one small pillow per person. And this was supposed to be a 'grand comfort' room! As a retired hotelier I am normally more understanding than critical, but in this case I found the lack of attention to detail very disappointing.

This hotel was good value for money and I would stay there again. Essentially it is a bed and breakfast hotel so it would be best for short stays. It was nice, clean, the staff were very helpful, and the breakfast was good.

L'hotel è in posizione centrale, con ampi spazi comuni. Le camere sono confortevoli. I proprietari sono gentili e disponibili. Decisamente consigliabile la prima colazione, ottima, abbondante e con dolci fatti in casa dalla proprietaria stessa!

HOTEL DE FRANCE: Muy agradable. Experiencia muy positiva. La recepción muy correcta y el personal muy simpático. Lo mejor: El trato magnífico del personal. Lo peor: Nada.
