Overall everything was great, the room was the one we expected, it was clean and responded to 5* standards. Prior to our arrival, we tried to contact the hotel exactly 6 times but no one ever carred to answer! In the evening, we had friends coming to pick us up and they were not allowed to enter the hotel and wait in the lobby.. Beside this two ackward situations, the rest went very well! One last comment, EUR 160 for the room would be fantastic with breakfast included.

A grand old hotel that makes you feel you've stepped into a Somerset Maugham story. Dont know what the single room I booked would have been like as they upgraded me to a huge beautiful double (for the same price and without me realising until I got to the room) Beautful breakfast and I also had 2 great evening meals in the Brasserie - Coeliac needs are extremely well catered for.

The hotel had wedding parties and closed the pool area off early without warning and one time closed the outside dining area of the restaurant for the same reason. some reception staff seemed indifferent cleaning staff were friendly and efficient

The hotel is very nice. However the competence of the reception people is very meager. I and my friends got wrong informations concerning prices several times.

Be prepared! The exterior aspect of this 5 stars hotel is just ugly! Looks like a hospital or military barracks. Besides the view from the dining room terrace is disapointing and poor compared to others hotels of Valetta. The food is good, service correct but what is shocking for such a category of hotel is to have to pay 18€ /day for using internet! Just good for corporate for which number of stars is important for status!

This hotel is ideally located in the heart of valetta. Rooms are spacious. Personnel is very welcoming and over the bay is amazing. I really recommend a stay in this romantic hotel.
