Hotel De la Mer - Le Golfe-Juan, Cannes

I stayed one night at the Hotel de la Mer, on my way to Italy from western France. The outstanding feature of the hotel is the extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. They raised the Hotel de la Mer from an average place to a very inviting one.

Small hotel with quite older equipment (maybe you will have a problem with air condition maybe with television). Never ever ever take the small room without balcony - it looks much bigger on photographs than it really is. Take the room with balcony directed to the pool. If you have a car we can recommend go to the beach not in Golfe Juan but to Nice (pebbles) or Cannes (sand). But there was absolutely fantastic staff!

It's very near beach and bus stop. Rooms are enough clean and it has all comforts in rooms. I would definitely return back there.

Sulla pagina web il costo della prima colazione era di 7,00 euro a persona ma in realtà abbiamo pagato 8,00 euro a persona. Il paesaggio non è bellissimo tanto che abbiamo lasciato l'albergo un giorno prima del previsto. Il personale è gentile e parla italiano (tranne il portiere di notte). C'è il garage privato (gratis) ma con pochi posti macchina e al mattino bisogna liberarlo presto. In aleternativa c'è un piccolo parcheggio privato anch'esso gratis.La stanza era piccola ma va bene per chi come noi ha utilizzato l'hotel solo come base dove poter dormire.

Very friendly helpful staff. Good atmosphere in a quiet convenient location with nice pool area. Easy walk to beach and all facilities so car not necessary except for longer trips. The town of La Golfe Juan, away from the front is rather untidy.

Only a 5 min walk to the beach and 15 min to the train station with good connections to Cannes, Nice and Monaco. Bus stop only 1 min from the hotel with excellent connections to Cannes and Nice.

Buona posizione, vicino alla spiaggia e non troppo distante dal centro. Buona ed abbondante la colazione (non compresa nel prezzo). Il bagno è completo anche di bidet. La soddisfazione al termine del soggiorno è stata alta. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo.

Overall, we may come back to this hotel. It is nice and clean, comfortable, good-sized room. Minor drawbacks are its location (major thoroughfare, so be ready for traffic noise), no AC (which force you to open the window, leading to first problem), room noise (a kid next door woke us up at 5 when he cried). But the price is good.

The De La Mer hotel offers great quality for low prices. Recommended!
