I stayed at the Hotel Imperial for 5 nights for a conference. My room was simple though comfortable, with a modern flat-screen television. The bathroom is fine, and is cleaned every day, including new towels. Breakfast is basic though sufficient. Friendly staff, though only the manager speaks English. He is always willing to advise guests on the best tapas bars and to explain about Spanish traditions. The hotel has a great location, close to Plaza Mayor and many nice bars and restaurants. On weekend nights, it's not as quiet as during the week though. Great restaurant (Casa de los Gallo) where you can have great lunch for a nices price. In short: nice hotel with good services, great value for money.

Zenit Imperial: beautiful public areas, excellent rooms/beds/bathrooms, and the most central location you can imagine. The front desk manager asked if this was our first visit to Valladolid, and then took out a city map and gave an enthousiastic running comment on all the sights. And even though the hotel itself has an adequate restaurant he then presented us with a photocopied list of recommended central restaurants and tapa bars. Parking underneath the Plaza Mayor is fifty yards away. One downside: don't expect to sleep much on friday night in a first-floor room facing the street. Valladolid is a lively place, so joint the crowd!

In the mittle of everything you find this little oase. Its calm and romantic, and a perfect stay for a romantic holiday. I was surpriced that the standard was so good. Hairdryer, minibar, soap, shampo and body soap. New towels every day. Perfect cleaning. And excellent location. This was my first stay, but I would love to come back.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and it was a good choice. It is surrounded by shops, bars, places to eat, visit. Not far from the train station. Parking is easy at the underground car park nearby. Because of its location at night this means it is noisy but the best thing to do is join in the fun! The hotel room was okay, the bathroom was looking a bit tired and could have done with a new shower screen etc. But value for money very good and we would stay here again. The manager speaks good english and helped us to book a table at a local restaurant. We ate one night in the hotel restaurant but the manager was not there and we struggled a bit but the food was good.

A nice, rather small hotel located a few steps from tha Plaza Mayor. Not sumptuous, but has all that is necessary. The restaurant has a good fixed price menu. Friendly personnel.

Rooms were very small, awful decoration and simply not worthed the price. Very noisy environment. Simply the worst accomodation in our 3 weeks in Spain. A rip off!

Unfortunately the mess made by a particularly noisy group of ineducated italian students coming back at 3:30 A.M.from their night raid passed unobserved by the night personnel, such to require a phone call and direct intervention. Reception personnell very competent and pleased in informing visitors about shopping and historical areas nearby

This hotel was a fabulous find! Only drawback is that it's a long hike from the station, and no buses go directly to it (or the station). It's more "upscale" than where I usually stay, but was a great price. It's right behind the main square; I had a beautiful room with big windows and a small balcony. Rather cool (professional) reception, but I spent about 2 hours on the (free) public internet after midnight, catching up on e-mail, not feeling like I was in anyone's way. Great location for going to the museums, shopping. I really loved the "flavor" of this city -- lots of families and young people out strolling, playing on the Plaza, eating ice cream. The walk from the station was spectacular, past side-walk cafes and a glorious park, massive buildings, then into the pedestrian streets toward the Plaza Major and City Hall. I'll go back!

Small room. Excellent desk-service and hotel-location. Problems only when paying parking-fee in garage (under Plaza Mayor). Machine just "swallowed" 10 Euro, before we had to change for paying by creditcard.
