Room was spacious and clean. Hotel offered to change room if view wasn't suitable. On the negative side, breakfast was basic and lifts were in need of maintenance.
United Kingdom, Sep 2009
Excellent location in the city centre about 20 mins in a taxi from the airport. It's less than 5 mins away from the metro, main train staion and the bullring. There is a nice restuarant directly outside the hotel and numerous others in the immediate area. The shops are also less than 5 minutes away.

We loved the location, and the hotel. It is within walking distance of the train station which we found out after the cab driver loaded our bags. It is a lovely hotel in a great location. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is wonderful, people at the reception were very kind and helpful. The room was big and comfortable! We could easly walk to the city centre(about 10 minutes) but you can find very good restaurants already outside the hotel (I mean just outside!) and the surroundings are beautiful!

The location of this hotel is excellent, we had a double room which was at the back of the hotel so no view but it was so quiet. As the hotel is in a precinct area, as you walked out of the hotel you could walk straight into cafe restaurants which were excellent. We did not eat at the hotel. Certainly would stay again.

Thanks to all the reviews from previous guests, we chose this hotel, so there were no suprises. The staff were very discreet and in the background. This was alright for us because we don’t like to be bothered during our stay, although they were helpful when we did ask for information. We did not take the overpriced breakfast as advised and as indicated there are alot of places to eat nearby the hotel. The room is not carpeted and therefore a bit noisy as other reviews mentioned (noise from heels above us). But we were so tired from our walks it was ok. The hotel is very central and there is a metro nearby that goes to and from the airport. We were very happy with our stay.

A good hotel on a quiet pedestrian street just a few hundred mtrs from the station and close to the main shopping area and old town. Excellent value for money at 69 euros per night in late January 2009.

I really like this hotel. Our room was a decent size, very private and nicely furnished. Its location is fabulously central. The only draw back is that the breakfast and cost to park a car soon bump up the price, and £16 for a breakfast is a lot.

Our second stay here, and we would be happy to use this hotel again. The only downside is the cost of the breakfast at 16 euros (though good enough for the price)

The hotel is a very good example of a small European hotel. The location on a pedestrian street is perfect, near the train station, market, and old city. The staff is helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely rooms, a superb location for visiting Valencia. However, a little on the pricey side. Breakfast at 12 euros definitely worth avoiding with so many cafes close by. Very helpful staff, especially when our friend's wife had her purse stolen when out shopping

The room was like new with beautiful furniture and really good equipment. One of the things I really liked was the really powerful hairdryer. The staff were very helpful and gave us good advice about how to get about. The location was good as well, near to the station but unlike some cities the area around the station was beautiful. The only (small) problem was although any noise from the street was completely cut out, there was noise from the adjoining rooms which could have been a nuisance for light sleepers. Otherwise perfect.

Extremely nice hotel, attractive public areas and rooms, very good air con, convenient location near station and town centre but fun and pleasant surroundings too. Breakfast a very expensive extra but plenty of alternative places to go just near. Would definitely use again.

We stayed at Vincci Lys for one week and found this hotel excellent for the rate. There is a restaurant that offers a wide variety of tapas at very reasonable rates, right by Xativa metro-station beside MacDonald. The final charge we paid was slightly higher than what was quoted by through Venere and I don't know why. I realized the difference after I left the hotel.

Really liked the accomodation although thought that there could have been better towels and some bathroom accessories provided. There was no hairdryer or soap offered. Also would have been more welcoming if there had been some tea and coffee and milk on arrival. Some weird noises during the night!!!
Young couple
United Kingdom, May 2008
Over priced breakfast plus a 25 Euro a day charge for the TV and Radio's is exsessive, when you've paid that price for the room!!! The staff were pleasant but didn't really ask if we needed any assistance durring our stay.

I have only one complaint about this hotel. There was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and if we needed a coffee at any time we had to pay for it, unlike other hotels we have stayed in especially when it was graded as a four star hotel.

This hotel is in an excellent position for people arriving by train - as we did. It's very close to the City's main square with plenty of restaurants nearby and close access to bus stops for the short journey to the seafront. A City well worth the visit and a friendly and helpful hotel staff. Breakfast on the expensive side and price was higher than quoted on our Venere.com quotation.

It was a fine hotel for a January visit at ca. €100 euro per night for the room in a decent location near the Main railway station. The breakfast is pricey and we only ate there once. There is an excellent restaurant across the street for evening meals called the 'Don Juan'.

We fancied a weekend away before staying at home for Christmas. We chose this hotel as it was centrally located and seemed to be reasonable quality. The hotel was very nice. The room was very large and well appointed. The staff were very attentive. Valencia is a lovely city and we had a great weekend. One thing the hotel could look to improve is the bar. It was deserted all the time we were there. Perhaps if they make an effort to make it more inviting, guests would stay in for a drink or have a night cap.

Really nice hotel, perfectly located & very easy to get to from the airport. Rooms were very noisey ( not outside noise ) & breakfast was an extra 30 euro's, when we booked it said American breakfast included. This must mean you have to pay so watch out!
Mature couple
United Kingdom, Oct 2007
The hotel was as expected for a fairly run of the mill but pleasant and well located hotel.Breakfast was the usual familiar mix with good juice and poor coffee. When we arrived late however and looked nearby for a meal we happened on a restaurant just round to the right of the hotel with tables on the street where I had probably the worst meal of my life.Undercooked ,cold chips swimming in oil with a piece of half cooked chicken.I sent it back to be cooked and it came back just the same but colder. We were even charged for bread that we had not had.We should have refused to pay but it was the first night and we were tired so it was 30 euros wasted and a bad first immpression .The Tapas bar opposite was useful and quite good especially when the rain poured down.We had a lovely meal at the interesting Modern Art museum -real cooking, nicely served and cheap !

Advantages: a good hotel, not noisy, decent sized room and 4 piece tiled bathroom, good air-conditioning, not too expensive. Staff coped well with my arrival in the middle of the night. Would stay again and recommend to others. Disadvantages: No free internet access, a little away from the historical centre, breakfast very expensive so I didn't opt for that.

I enjoyed my stay here, the room was cosy and pretty, in a perfect location with friendly staff.Although the rooms are not sound proof as i could hear people at 7am in the morning walking around above us(obviously in high heals!)that was a bit annoying. The fact that you needed to pay for the spa facilites in a four star hotel is very unusal and disappointing. Also to note that there is no iron available for customers which is only a basic requirement for any traveller and is normally facilitated in most hotels around the world but not here! Other than those small hick ups i would recommend staying here for its modern and comfortable rooms with a great location. Claire Dublin

l'ubicazione dell'hotel è ottima, nella zona pedonale del centro, con taxi, autobus e stazione vicinissimi. L'hotel è molto pulito ed elegante ed il personale gentilissimo. The hotel was really great, I would highly recommend it to anyone. Its in a great location with access to restaurants, shops only a few streets away. I emailed the hotel from England asking if they could book us into Rias Gallegas restaurant (excellent food - include it in your 'Valencian must do's) which was not a problem at all. The style of the hotel is modern and unassuming and it is very very clean. I would definitely go back, its very good value for money. ps - the bathroom products are also really nice!!

We had booked for 4 nights and requested a non-smoking room and were delighted to find we had been allocated a suite on the 1st floor. The rooms were excellent and we enjoyed the location, being in the centre of the old city amid the tourist area and all the restaurants. We had a car so used the parking facility which was probably a bit expensive. We would recommend this hotel as excellent value with very friendly staff, particularly in the restaurant. Couldn't understand an earlier comment about no milk at breakfast as we were given a jug of warm milk with the coffee at breakfast that was ample for the cereal too.

Great location superb room we were given a suite on the sixth floor for the same price (282euro)3nights great value. Not very good value for money - no tea making facilities in the room. The staff (not reception) were not very customer focused. The breakfast was a rip off. No milk was provided for cereals or tea/coffee. The cleaners/house keeper even reported we had used the mini bar so when we checked out we were presented with these additional charges. I was furious - beware they will try this one on everyone even people like us who did not use the mini-bar.

My partner and I got into Vinccy Lys at 2am on a Saturday, somewhat jaded but all was made fine by the prompt check-in which was no more than a couple of minutes. The price for the hotel taking into account of location, quality and service was first class, and also taking into account it was just the start of the fallas, booking was a doddle. On our last day on Sunday, we were both in double trouble as thieves had managed to pick-pocket both of us at more or less the same time (word of caution, around the fallas period the police station is rammed with souls like ourselves), the staff were excellent in dealing with the matter, considering we had already checked out. Thank you for making an exciting stay also a pleasurable one. Hats off to Vinccy Lys.

This hotel was very nice. We asked for a non-smoking room, but the room was very smokey. The location is hard to find, but once you find it, it is a great location. We ordered room service, and the food was good and came quickly. Parking is not included, but is available under the hotel. Valencia is a ton of one way streets, and the hotel is on the end of a dead-end street.
