Hotel Catalonia Excelsior - Valencia

I was in Valencia for holidays and found the city beautiful. The hotel is located in the heart of the same and has been recently renovated with enough taste. I certainly recommend it

Perfect location to explore the city. Right in the center and yet ona relatively small and quiet street. Did not go for the breakfast as it was a bit expensive, there are plenty of small and cosy cafes where you can have one. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends - good price and good service.

Good hotel, perfect position, room spacious but smoke smelly.

Nice staff, spoke English, very nice hotel.

The hotel is good. It was not perfect because the room was smelling cigar and I was in a smoke free area. (Maybe I can not blame the hotel. Unfortunatelly smoking people not always respect nonsmoking people rights).

Very noisy not from the outside but from the inside passage (cleaning staff). It smelts cigarette inside the room.

It is a nice very well located hotel. The value for money is good.

I found Valencia a very nice city and I think I'll return as soon as possible

Excellent Location. Excellent Price/Quality. Very kind and avalable staff. The hotel is located in the best area, everywhere accessible on foot, and at the same time being in a side street, is quiet. I suggest this hotel fully even for the price which is very cheap but still very good standard. Will definitely go to same hotel if i go back to Valencia.

Great location close to train station and main street. Our room had a large balcony too bad we didn't get to use it. We stayed here before the La Tomatina. Clean hotel, young atmosphere, would stay here again.

Our visit was only for 1 night but checking in was a breeze. The price was great. It was clean, downtown, super friendly, much more than was expected. The staff also spoke excellent English and helped us with our not so excellent Spanish.

Non c'è che dire.Ottime stanze,ottimo servizio, ottima collocazione. Per chi dovesse arrivare in auto sconsiglio il parcheggio interrato sito nelle vicinanze dell'hotel, Valencia è piena di strisce blu che sono sicuramente più economiche. Il personale alla reception è molto cordiale e disponibile, qualcuno parla anche l'italiano.Ci sono stanze dotate di terrazzino e il prezzo non cambia,sono più calde all'arrivo ma il condizionatore va una meraviglia. Buone vacanze!

Great Hotel

En general muy bien. El único inconveniente es que había obras en la calle y se oía el ruido desde temprano.

Everything including location, surroundings, facility, asevices, etc is excellent.

5 giorni in spagna-5alberghi diversi-questo è stato il peggiore.l'aria condizionata inutilizzabile per quanto rumorosa-come se i muri non ci fossero si sente ogni passaggio sul corridoio-il bagno senza bidè-non avevano la camera con il letto matrimoniale da noi richiesto-l'unico fattore positivo:la posizione centrale in città.negativo il rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Breakfast not very satisfying and very expensive (Euro 12!!), food quality below average and not very ample food range.

Very good location, but much better value for two sharing.

Did not miss hotel's breakfast: places around the hotel offer much better prices with more variety.

Stayed here to see the Grand Prix and the hotel is fine and in a good location but it still annoys me that the prices are doubled because F1 are in town. The hotel just does not justify the extra expense.

We stayed during Las Fallas when rates were doubled. Location is excellent - patisserie across the hotel for breakfast pastries, local cafe few doors down for coffee or Starbucks at the end of the lane, bank next to the patisserie. Staff spoke excellent English and are happy to recommend restaurants, etc. Room can be noisy, and close to adjoining office blocks so privacy can be limited. Loved Valencia, and would recommend hotel to anyone.

When we arrived I had the impression that the competence of the employees was very poor.... in fact I was right.... I booked by venere 2 nights and he couldn t find immediately my reservation....after the first night during the morning the woke up me because they said I had onle one night but they were complitely wrong....after a long discution the reception understood that they made a mistake...!!! and finally they apologize...!! but my relax was interrupted... I won't come back here again!!!

It's a heavy standard quality hotel without any national or individual characteristics. My room was smelling of tobacco. Breakfast not included. The price is high only due to standard quality and good location.

The hotel is in the city centre. There aren't a lot of parking on the street and these one are only for two hours. the hotel and the room are wonderful. breakfast don't worth price.

A very pleasant hotel in a perfect location.

Second night and morning I leaved, there was no current water and no discount for that desease. They just offered us breakfast because we payed less by reserving on-line with venere.com

We stayed during Las Fallas so double glazing essential - and it worked. slight bit of confusion around laundry as there were so many public holidays with easter as well but other than that - fine. we did not have breakfast as that seemed pricey. we ate at less than half the price in local cafes. lots of groups staying.

Prices listed by Venere are without taxes, that was a slight disappointment.

Just only one problem, my bathroom is cold.

Front desk was very helpful; location could not have been better. Buffet breakfast could have been improved considerably.

Nachdem ich mich im Hotel Atenea in Madrid, trotz einiger technischer Mängel, sehr wohl gefühlt habe, war der wenig zuvorkommende und von Misstrauen geprägte Empfang im Excelsior in Valencia eine Enttäuschung. Im Zimmer störte mich vor allem, die Matratze mit Kunststoffüberzug. Wie teuer mich die Internetbenützung zu stehen kommt, werde ich dann der Rechnung meines mobilen Telefons entnehmen können. Die Aufbewahrung des Gepäcks bis am Abend geschah professionell und zuvorkommend.

Their was two single beds in the room however we had booked a double room so was expecting a double bed. On leaving our bill included a phone call costing approx. €2.50, wasn't much but we had not made any phone calls therefore I was not going to pay, lady on desk questioned us and she did cancel it, wasn't the cost but the principle. Hotel was very clean and would return to it if I was ever in Valencia agin, price very resonable.

A due passi dal centro, stanze un pò piccole ma confortevoli e pulite. privo di parcheggio per auto ma a pochi metri da un grande parcheggio (molto caro, come quasi tutti i parcheggi di valenzia e Barcelllona).

Hotel situato in pieno centro, a 5 min dalla piazza principale: camere spaziose e molto ben insonorizzate, rapporto qualità/prezzo molto buono. Unico neo non c'è posto auto ma a 30 mt. c'è un garage custodito a 19 Euro al giorno.

A quiet, nice hotel in the center of the city. Just a short walk from the railway station. The breakfast is not included in the price, but there are lots of small cafees just around the corner.

Room was lovely and clean. Location excellent for experiencing the Fallas Festival. Not sure any hotel room in Valencia could have been quiet then. Would certainly stay there again.

The hotel is nice and well positioned prices are high but is not the hotel's fault it is the America's Cup which increased hotel prices all over Valencia

Very good location breakfast could be better

Very hansom people and very well located hotel even to go on the America's Cup (autobus). Possible improvement : breakfast diversity and indications for restaurants.

Receptionist recommended a fantastic traditional restaurant to us! Oerall, staff were very helpful. Location is great for a short break, very central.

Hôtel trés bon rapport qualité prix en basse saison du moins. Il est situé en plein centre ville proche du corte ingles, de la place de la reina et la placa de la vierge. Tres bonne localisation et tres bon prix..!!

The location was excellent. Parking is not available, though it is nearby. Room was small but comfortable and clean. We would stay there again.
