Yes, first time. Very good hotel, good accomodations and well located, for bus, metro taxi etc. Need to improve on welcome personnel at front desk, rather rude when we arrived in the night. Instead other personnal was very client oriented when we made check out and it compensated. thank you

The hotel is more or less 20 minutes walk from the centre, and 50m from an underground station and bus stop. It's clean and the staff is very friendly. After you check out you can leave your luggage for free in case your flight/train is in the evening and you want to join the city a bit longer. A good place to stay!

Front rooms are very noisy. Nickel and dimed us. Add 30% for parking, 8.50 euros for wireless, 18 euros for adequate supper buffet and pretty soon you're talking about real money.

Excellent hotel to stay in when visiting Valencia. Very short distance to the metro. About half an hour walking to the center of the old town. It became a sport finding the shortest route to walk. It was not much longer than taking the metro, cause the metro didn't go into the very center, Plaza de Reina. The hotel was "unfortunately" very close to the big shopping center El Corte Ingles, where it was a lot of nice things to spend money on. The travel guide said that Valencia don't make clouds, that was correct. I read here at Venere that there was a bus going from the airport and stopped right outside the hotel, that was correct, but the bus only goes when it wants to, so we had to wait a long time. A taxi only cost about 15-16 Euro. Just book this hotel, you will never regret I think. The only negative thing was that the swimmingpool on the roof opened too late in the mornings after my opinion. Would be nice to swim before the sun got too hot.

We had great time! This hotel is in a great location. Close to everything. Metro right outside, cabs wait infront of the hotels (and are pretty cheap), close walk to old town, easy to find. Perfect! The rooms are much more spacious than any other European hotel I've ever stayed in. The photos make the rooms look a bit dark and old, but this isn't the case. The beds are really confortable too. And the bathroom was huge, compaired to the normal European standard. The only photos that are a little misleading are that off the roof pool. First let me say, it's a roof pool so how can you go wrong. The pics make it look much larger than it is. It's small and not as new as it looks in the pics. It was still really nice to have and the view was great. Just below the pool is a roof top bar, which was great! The bartender was friendly and played great "beach" music. The service, overall, was friendly and efficient, without and ounce of pretention or attitude. Two things I would recommend avoiding are; in room calls (they're way overpriced as is most hotels) and breakfast. Breakfast may only be 10 euros/person, but its not worth it. It's your typical hotel buffet. Nothing special. Go into town, much better food at cheaper prices. All in all it was a great stay. Definatly book this hotel!

4 days was not long enough to spend in this beautiful city, so much to see and do. Hotel is situated on a bus route, metro right outside and across the road from the park they have made out of the old riverbed - beautiful. Unfortunately, they seem to have the kind of room doors which can only be closed with a loud bang(!) otherwise not too bad for sound. Situated alongside El Corte Ingles, there are many small bars and cafes to get snacks, etc. although the hotel offered a dinner buffet for 15 Euros. Parking was advertised at 15 Euros per day but was actually 18.50. Otherwise, everything was pretty much as specified.

Location close to the "old city" of Valencia was perfect. Easy access to bus, metro etc. Bought the morning buffet twice (8 Euros) which had everything! The room was clean and employees very friendly, BUT the walls were thin as paper so we could hear everything from the rooms next to, above and under us... With ear plugs and music on the Ipod I managed to sleep.

the lady at reception on our arrival could not be any more helpful to us with general information about the area and spoke perfect English. She even lent assistance whilst off-duty. First visit to Valencia. Hotel is easy to spot and stands on the main road on a large junction. It's next to the Turin metro so easy to get about - the hotel will sell you a Valencia ticket for all day metro and bus transport. Park outside and check in, then take your car to the nextdoor Les Ingles shopping centre car park, when you check out you pay the car park fee along with your accommodation bill. If you check out on a sunday the receptionist will receipt your ticket but you have to find the man in the office in the car park to authorise your ticket for exit - he is in a small office by the ramp down to the exit, sat quietly with the lights out - it took us some time to find him! Hotel was excellent, just a few noisy guests, and was very good value for money. L'oceanarium is great and can take a day to get around, the museum is like a science museum and good for kids, the hemisphere is an IMAX 3-D cinema, good if you have never seen one before. Metro closes quite early about 11.30, buses before that. We did not eat in hotel, but did find a really good cantina restaurant 5 mins away. Hope you have a good time!

The hotel is well positioned in order to reach the most interesting sites of the city. The staff was very helpful and the overall service was pretty good even if we had a bad experience with the air conditioning in our room. As soon as we complained they gave us immediately another room but the air conditioning was not working as well. It took 24 hours to have it fixed. The quality and quantity of breakfast and dinner was very good considering their reasonable price (8€ and 12€). Generally speaking our experience was positive.

When we arrived, the employes said that they couldn't find our reservation, so they could give us another room for a different price (89 € when we booked on Venere at 59 €!!!)... We decided to accept because it was late evenning: luckly the next morning when checking out, we asked if they have finally found our reservation and a very kind employe said that, however, we should pay 59€! A really happy end for a, however, pleasant stay in a nice hotel. Expo hotel is not too far from city center (we went there by walking) and situated in a "El corte ingles" shopping center.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. There is some kind of children's play area right outside the back of the hotel and some of the rides made very obnoxious noises until 10:00 p.m. which was very disturbing. Having Internet access was nice. Breakfast should have been included.

I was disappointed that the hotel didn't have wireless internet access in the rooms. Very inconvenient for business travelers used to this. They had lost or not received my Venere booking, and I had to negotiate the price to what I had been quoted by Venere. They were nice enough about making the change and found me a room. Very convenient location!

I had a lovely stay, breakfast not included in the price and seemed expensive (if you only require a small breakfast). The location was as expected, not in the centre. The shopping centre which was along side the hotel was good and could get a reasonable breakfast in one of the many cafes. All in all I would recommend the hotel and Valencia itself. Be prepared to walk around the city a lot!!!

The location is excellent, it is a 15 minute walk from the old town, there are taxis (which are cheap) and a bus stop directly outside with a metro stop 5 minutes away. The only draw back is that the beach is quite a distance from the hotel.

Good connection to Airport with yellow bus 150, costs about 1 Euro an takes about 40 minutes depending on traffic. Rooms are very clean. Shopping and restaurant are available nearby. hotel is towering a shopping-mall with a "corte ingles" and various other shops. Connection to EXPO-Area (Aquarium/under water zoo) is comfortable viá 95er bus (takes 20 min. costs 1,10 Euros), good hotel with an excellent price (we didn´t even pay for the additional bed for one of our kids).

_________________________ The hotel is very very old, but clean. Location is not too bad... For me, the worst part is that THEY REFUSE TO SPEAK CATALAN/ VALENCIANO and they were quite rude about this (I know this will probably affect few people, but it's said). Last day I did not get my wake up call.

This hotel is an excellent choice if you are looking for an affordable, modest place to stay. The rooms were clean and functional. The roof top pool and terrace bar were an added bonus with great views over the city. The hotel is a 15 min walk to the old city, a 10 minute drive to the aiport and is located beside the central bus station and a large shopping centre. The only negative point would be the dreary hotel piano bar which could do with a revamp. Overall we would recommend this hotel.

We arrived at 9am and came back at noon. Dunno why, we had to wait for 3 hours to get a twin bedded room. Being an hotel receptionist in the past, I knew I couldn't accept it, so we had to wait another couple of hours to get a proper double room (without notice of course) Luckily, even if the person on duty that morning was quite rude, we had the support of a lady, otherwise we couldn't even get that double room. Also, to notice that the room was noisy but clean dunno why breakfast wasn't included (but still at 10€ each was a sort of bargain, so I didn't discuss) and last but not least people at the reception desk could barely speak a few words of English (which is unacceptable). Being an Italian I didn't suffer too much in speaking Spanish, or Valencian, their local language, but I can imagine trouble for travellers who cannot Speak spanish. Hotel overall 6.5 out of 10 (if we could easily forget the poor reception behavior I could say 7.5 out of ten) while Valencia overall is a great 8.5 out of 10

Fanstastic price/location relationship as well. Don't let the maps put you off, it's about 10-15 minutes walk to the centre, it's right on the bus route into town (61/62) and near to the 95 bus that takes you to the science park. It's also directly on top of the metro station, which is two stops away from the far side of town - great to catch the metro there and then walk back. Lots to see and do near the hotel and plenty to do in Valencia. The pool on the roof is a major plus - nice to cool off in and great views. Hotel resturant looked a bit seedy, so we didn't use it - there's plenty of alternatives near by.

One can park in front of the hotel or in the parking of the supermarkt (open24h) for the usual public charges. a tip: on the other side of the street is a free parking place. Otherwise, best recomandation for the hotel.

We requested a double room in a quiet area - but were given a twin room next to a family with 2 children who shouted or cried every morning & evening. Apart from that everythingelse was fine.

For the room directy on the main street will be necessary to use a double-glass window, because the street noisy is very high fo 20 hour per day.

Expohotel Valencia is very well placed. Near the historic city centre (walk 20min, bus (95) 10min), and also attached to a huge shopping centre (Corte Ingles, Zara, various food options, etc). Was suprised to see that the MetroBus from the airport stopped right in front of it! Very convenient. Also, if you 're planning to travel around, the hotel is next to the Autobus Station where services for many other cities depart. Valencia is a nice city, worth of a couple of days tour but can also serve as a link to other interesting places. The hotel looks a bit dated (70s/80s decor) but if you take into account all the other benefits, esp. the location, then it doesn't matter. Bebers

Excellent quality hotel, if you don't mind it being large-scale conference oriented. The swimming pool on the roof is a bonus!
