Hotel Ericevalle has instantly become one of my favourite European budget hotels. A very low price (including a discount for staying a full week)was combined with a large, quiet, well-appointed room with air conditioning. The layout of the rooms means you don't have upstairs neighbours to make noise. Vito at the front desk was as friendly and helpful as I could have asked--makes a great espresso too. Breakfast was also good. A great value. I also liked being on the edge of Valderice--it's a real Italian town with supermarkets, bakeries, coffee bars and such. By contrast Erice, although pretty, is a tourist trap. Better off being in Valderice, especially if you are exploring the area by car.

Negative side - a bit fastidious noise in the room coming from outside (my room was close to the heating) - another a bit fastidious noise came from the A/C unit. Although not functioning, the A/C Unit had the water circulating inside and made a bit fastidious noise. hopefully it was not necessary to have A/C. to be noticed that you cannot leave the room with A/C on. - continental breakfast only with a plus of making by himself squeezed orange juice.

Bel hotel pour une étape dans l'ouest de la Sicile, à 15 minutes en voiture d'Erice, site historique et géographique très intéressant. L'environnement de l'hotel n'est pas à la hauteur et ne donne pas trop envie de rester sur place mais plutôt de passer la journée en ballade. Cependant l'hotel est presque irréprochable et tout est conforme aux attentes.

The hotel rooms were good. The location and directions need a little work. There was not a restaurant in the hotel and the only place that the hotel could direct us to had very poor food.
