It is located in the middle of the Molanès hamlet. The southern aspect offers a magnificent and uninterupted view of the summits of the Chapeau de Gendarme and the Pain de Sucre. The hotel boasts a sunny terrace and a cosy living room with a fireplace, where magazines and books are at your disposal. The menu offered is varied, combining traditional and contemporary cuisine. How to reach Hotel Le Prieuré

By car
From Paris and the north of France: via Lyon, Grenoble, Gap, Barcelonnette and Pra Loup.

From the south of France: via Aix en Provence, motorway (A51) as far as Tallard then towards Barcelonnette and Pra Loup.

From Gap and Tallard: 1 hour away. The road is a beautiful mountain road, which crosses the St Jean pass. After having crossed the latter and passed through Le Lauzet, you will find a stretch of dual carriageway for around 2 kilometres. From Barcelonnette, the road that leads to the resort is well maintained and regularly cleared of snow

It is most convenient to fly to Grenoble (101 miles) or Marseille (110 miles).

Fly to Grenoble and hire a car. The availability of cheap flights and car hire provides you with a stress free and inexpensive way to be in control of your own holiday and not be at the mercy of package tour operators! Ryanair in particular seems hard to beat (discounted car hire available immediately after you book on ryanair.com). The beauty of the area almost necessitates the use of a car, you will want to go exploring! Specifically Barcelonnette (15 minutes away by car) has lots to offer, from stunning architecture to farmers markets, bars, restaurants, and charming regional shops providing everything you could wish for.
If you fly to Marseille, there is a bus service to Pra Loup every Saturday departing at 2pm. Return by reservation (Saturdays only), which we can arrange for you upon request.
Or hire a car, you can travel on the motorway for the majority of the journey, the trip takes just under 3 hours !
