Hotel Principe - Udine

The Principe was a surprise- close to the railways station in an unfashionable part of town but very hard to fault. The hotel has an interesting history too!

Very convenient situation for visiting other towns in the area as next to rail/bus stations but no noise inside hotel. Helpful staff - I had details next morning after telling them the night before where I was going that day. Don't miss Trieste (ihr 15mins by train ) super Imperial city.

Nettes Hotel in der Nähe des Bahnhofes, mit Parkplatz im Hof, Trotzdem sehr ruhig. Gehzeit zur Fussgängerzone ca 10-15 min. Betten etwas schmal. Auffallend netter Empfang, gute Tips. Würde wieder dieses Hotel wählen.

Queda frente a la terminal de trenes y buses, tiene estacionamiento propio y wi-fi económico. Queda cerca del centro como para ir caminado. Muy bueno y recomendable

I stayed in Udine for a week whilst visiting my friend. The travel links to the city were top rate and the hotel was lovely. The room was massive and had air conditioning which I imagine in the summer would be very welcome. The views weren't great but it was right next to the station and I spent most of my time out and about as the train was so cheap. The beds were lovely and comfortable, the buffet breakfast catered for all. Unfortunately, I spoke no Italian and only some of the staff could speak English . . however all the staff went out of their way in making me feel welcome, which as a single traveller was very important. A great hotel in a great city.

Didn't expect too much, and we were very pleasantly surprised that everything was as expected and suggested on your site. In this case it truly was the help and kindness of the owners / staff that made everything so enjoyable. They will do everything possible to help with the needs of the guests, and go well beyond what is normally done. We would definitely stay there again. Solid value and WONDERFUL staff.

Being our first stop in Italy, the Hotel Principe revealed as a hidden jewel at Udine. Competent staff, wonderful breakfast, very good and quiet rooms, recently installed wi-fi available for a moderate price and the attention of the owner herself.

Clean,spare,basic,and rather somber room.We stayed in Udine two days.

The owner of this small hotel is very gracious and is frequently visible to guests. She and her staff are enthusiastic, personable and professional. I would reconmmend this hotel to my friends.

Difficult to find out- too little traffic signs to reach the hotel.

Nice and quiet area in Torino.

Once we arrived the staff was great. They helped us locate lost family, and went out of their way to answer and service our every needs. I would rate their service and hotel excellent! We will go back. Marilyn Neville

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel. It was right across the street from the train station but surprisingly quiet. The evening staff person didn't speak much English but we were able to communicate. The desk clerk during the day was extremely helpful, she was informative, helpful and spoke very good English.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable and quiet, as promised on the website. Nice breakfast.

The Principe is an excellent choice for a room near the train station in Udine.

Friendly reception (wrote to us in advance about our requirements); clean rooms; good breakfast; good location for seeing Udine and as a base for visiting other parts of the region; very handy for the airport. Would certainly recommend it. With a bigger weekend reduction during the winter I am sure the hotel could pick up a lot of UK week-end tourists using Ronchi as a cheap way of getting to Italy from London and seeing this unspoilt and still tourist friendly region.
