We stayed at Rice Field View Pool Villa. We really liked it. The staff of the hotel is very friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and calm. Ubud is not far from the hotel and there is a free shuttle bus every hour from the hotel.

The Ubud Village resort was far more than we expected. My wife & I arrived in Bali to spend a much needed vacation and started off in a large, impersonal hotel in Kuta. We decided within the first day of being there that we had to find something more "Balinese" and after some research my wife came up with The Ubud Village Resort. Our expectations were surpassed from entering the lobby and it only got better. The reception and service from the staff was exceptional....and consistent. We were shown to our pantry villa with private pool, 2 gazebos, indoor and outdoor showers and sunken outdoor bathtub, completely private and beautifully complemented with ponds, wooden decks and tropical shrubbery. We enjoyed it all - afternoon teas, easy commutes to do shopping in town via the complementary shuttle bus and breathtaking views of the rice fields in the mornings while eating breakfast. O.K....so there has to be something wrong with the place - that would be: no iron in the room (but a staff member went out of her way to get us one) and no internet connection in the room. That said....we'll be back!
