This is a perfect location for people who search to stay in an old Italian village. The room we had was small but had all facilitites required for an overnight stay. It is well in the old centre of Tuscania which is very tastefully kept as an middle age town. Really recommendable as etappe or for some days. For a longer stay the room we had would be too small. We had a parking place, which is very convenient and rare in such an old village. The Restaurant of the Hotel was excellent

Small characterful family hotel attached to a rather well-respected (read pricy) restaurant. Rooms are perhaps a bit tight and chocked-full of pattern, but the welcome from the [owner's daughter?] was extremely good, and she was very helpful for the whole stay. Tuscania is worth a short visit, not many places to eat or things to do, but the tight mediaeval streets and the lack of other tourists make it interesting.

Only one drawback that although secure parking was available, this was not suitable for my low suspension sports car and parking very difficult in old town locality. However,due to helpfulness of staff, this was not a major problem. Spectacular location in old walled city and nice level hotel with good staff.

An appealing and interesting hotel in a wonderful location. The rooms are basic, and because of the traditional decor and antique furniture, may be dark. Bathrooms are spotlessly clean and modern but somewhat cramped and only one room in the hotel has a bath. The public areas are very attractive. The inclusive breakfasts are basic but adequate but the restaurant is the best we found in the town. No English menu and limited English spoken. Private carparking is available but gaining access to it is 'entertaining'. Overall a welcoming, and fascinating traditional hotel at a reasonable price. We would definitely stay here again.

Owner was really kind, waiting for us in spite of our late arrival and serving an excellent dinner. Rooms are clean and tiny, the historical town is really attractive. The only negative remark is breakfast, which could be largely improved.

We took half board and ate dinner in the restaurant; it was 4 courses and delicious! On the other hand, the breakfast was surprisingly small and mediocre, for a place of this quality.

I loved Al Gallo. The building is charming, the staff is helpful and the restaurant is superb. It is in a region of Italy seldom visited by Americans, but it makes an excellent stop after a one-hour drive from the Rome airport. There are interesting old churches to explore in the town. I would gladly return.
