Nice hotel close to train station - easy to find. Helpful staff & good breakfast. Two good restaurants close to hotel, one being Urbani Restaurant, which was excellent. The only negative was the tissue thin walls as loud conversation could easily be heard from the adjoining room. Ear plugs are a necessity.

The hotel is in a quite and nice residential neighborhood; at a walking distance to the Arena. The staff are kind and willing to help, but they are not really fleunt in English. The price is rather high, but it is certainly worth it because of the delightful garden where they serve breakfast.

Only a little detail but which could have been very annoying if the couple next door had beeen strangers: the single communication door between the two rooms made that we could here all the noises (TV, toilets, bathroom...) coming from the other room. There should be a double door between the two rooms.

I had a good stay and found the buffet breakfast better than I imagined. I would return, but would like to point out: I stayed in room 205. Between this room and the one next to it there is a sliding door that has been blocked, but it does not stop the light from that room shining under the sliding door. The bathroom has the usual "let's protect the environment" notice, but the breakfast room had 2 televisions going when I arrived!! I asked for one to be switched off. Are 2 TVs really necessary? Is any TV necessary?

Everything was perfect but the room itself. Although we had reserved several weeks ahead, we were given a room on the fifth and last floor which was like an attic in which you had to bend your body to get to the bed. The lights were extremely parcimonious to the point we could not read. Otherwise it's a quiet, well placed, extremely clean hotel with an excellent breakfast buffet. We saw other rooms which had nothing to do with ours.

I absolutely advice you to stay in Hotel Urbani because it's really near to the historical centre of Turin, near to the main railway station (100 mt!) and rather near to the Valentino's Park, that is lovely especially in Spring and Summer! If I'll be back in Turin I'll really enjoy to taste again the Breakfast Buffet in Hotel Urbani and I'll have a tasting dinner in one of the typical Restaurants in the Hotel surroundings!

When I asked the desk clerk for help with maps and directions, he was very helpful. The hotel is located near the big rail station and the shopping street. It is convenience. I am relative satisfied with the room, but I do not like the bath room very much. Because it is relative old, and is not good cleaned. Some parts of the shower cubicle have mold, and it smells bad. The stuffs of the reception are also not so friendly. We had to wait long on the first time at the reception. Because a receptionist was always on the phone, and she had not so much of consideration for us.

Hotel Urbani is just a few minutes walk from the Torino Porto Nuova train station, easy walking distance to the restaurants, shopping, museums, and sightseeing. The Metro, streetcars and buslines are all close by. Self-service laundry is two blocks away. The hotel breakfast buffet is good -- overall, the hotel is a very good value. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but clean. It was quiet and comfortable, and I would definitely return on future trips to Torino.

I asked for a double room and what I got was a room with 2single beds. Questioning reception, I was told that I had to specify 1 bed or they automatically vgive you 2 singles. When making reservations, there was not any boxes to check off what size bed is preferred. This made me alittle upset and by the attitude of reception, it made me feel as though it were my fault due to ignorance of the procedure of this hotel. I have traveled to Italy several times and this is the first time I ran into this kind of a problem.

I had a great stay at the Urbani. It's a 5 minute walk from the main train station which was very convenient to the airport shuttle bus, which stops there. The front desk staff was *very* helpful with questions I had concerning my stay in Turin. Access to the wi-fi was very convenient to have. The complementary breakfast was great with meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit, cereals and juices. It was just enough to start my day and hold me over until the late afternoon when I had time to stop for a meal. The room was just fine for my needs. The only weird thing was the shower. I think it was handicap-friendly, but it seemed to have a door panel missing and was very difficult to shower and not drench the whole bathroom. Other than that, the water pressure was fine and it was always hot. Turin is a very walker-friendly city and I think the Urbani is a great place for your home base. I'd definitely stay there again.

Although this was a lovely hotel with very helpfull and pleasant staff the street in which it was situated was a bit of a let down. The day we arrived the first thing we noticed was that there were a couple of "ladies of the night" hanging around, infact we were not quite sure which gender they actually were. One night we were kept awake with people from the restaurant opposite fighting in the street which resulted in the police having to be called. If this hotel was in another street i would have no problem recommending it to others.

The staff at the Hotel Urbani were warm and welcoming. They were very helpful in arranging parking for my car nearby and on the last night as I had a very early start they allowed me to park outside the door. Everything was clean and although the room was quite impersonal in the style of a chain hotel, it had everything you needed, bed was comfortable, everything worked, bathroom spotlessly clean and relatively spacious. This is not a luxery hotel or with any great character but cannot be faulted for comfort and cleanliness. Also the breakfast was buffet continental style and had plenty fo fill you. I was recommended a restaurant nearby also called Urbani which was really nice and given a map of the town. The reception was open 24 hours so always there was somebody to help you if needed. There was internet in the downstairs lounge, which had a rate of a couple of euros for half an hour but as I was only using it for 10 or 15 minutes they never charged me. When I had to send an emergency fax, it was no problem to use their machine. The hotel is well located, just a few minutes walk over to the historic old part of town and you are near to many bars and restaurants, banks etc. This hotel was good value for money and as I really enjoyed Turin I would have no hesitation in going back to the Hotel Urbani or recommending it to my friends.

I thought this was a good hotel at a good price and the location was OK. Very convenient to the rail station it was about a block and a half on the ‘wrong’ side of Corso Vittorio Emanuele. This location saved us money on the hotel room (65 euro a night) and still allowed us to walk to the tourist sites. The room was very nice, the staff friendly and I had no complaints about the neighborhood.

We wanted a hotel near Porta Nuova Train Station - and Urbani is only 100 metres or so from the station. It was excellent value for money, costing us only 65 euro incl. breakfast. The room was clean, neatly furnished, and had a good bathroom. Initially we were given a twin room overlooking the road. We returned to the desk and asked if we could have a 'matrimoniale' (double bedded room), and were straight away given keys for a room on about the 5th floor overlooking the courtyard at the back of the hotel. This roomed seemed nicer, quieter, had a small balcony, and the beds made up as a double. Breakfast was pretty good - a buffet. Coffee was do-it-yourself from a machine, so not that nice.

As venere committed, I can cancel the booking and do not have the penalty in 2 days before check-in. However, they hold the money in 10 days before! Only negative thing about the room was the noise - we could here everything the people in the room next to ours were discussing, probably because of the connecting door between the two rooms. I found the staff extremely well mannered and ready to provide very good service. The location was wonderfully convenient. I had a large balcony and the view of the courtyards below and the surrounding buildings was very evocative for me and I loved it. The view kept me in a room that was uncomfortably small, especially for a week's stay. I had to use part of my bed for a surface and several days asked the staff to not come in because it was so tight. At the same time, the price was moderate. I would have paid more, however, for space. All in all, I cannot complain and would stay again if a larger room were available. Lovely city, lovely people with a real respect for food, art and culture. I have become a fan over the years of Turin and am so thrilled it is and continues to be 'genuino'

Excellent value for money conveniently situated in the centre of Turin. Single room one night stay idea for business. Facilties are not luxurious but very good value for the price.

Very nice stay at Urbani Hotel. The staff was really kind and helpful with everything I needed from them. I would go back there and recomend it. The location is perfect, just next to Porta Nuova Station. My room was not very big but it had everything I would need.

Worth mentioning that the Internet is not included in price (an extra 3-4 euro a night) but a very nice stay nonetheless.

the hotel's location is very convenient to the train station and to all public transportation. although it is not the most scenic part of the city, it is conveniently located and within walking distance to major attractions. the staff is very pleasant, and accommodating , offering good information about the city. maps and visitor information is readily available. the breakfast is plentiful. the lobby area is very large with 2 nice rooms to sit and read or talk. the rooms are very small so this is definitely a plus when in need of space. the rooms were clean, comfortable, but extremely small. the bathrooms are clean and functional and of average size. Torino is a lovely and friendly city. i enjoyed my visit.

We stayed in hotel 9 nights, service was excellent: nice staff, good breakfast. The only small problem was automatic switching off the air conditioning in the room if temperature outside was low enough. Unfortunately if we opened the window to have more cold, fresh air (our room was on the street side), it was noisy.

The hotel was excellent. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they did everything possible to make our stay more comfortable. We were only in Turin for a week, and the Urbani staff made us feel instantly at home. The area was not at all as bad as I'd been led to believe, the location was great, and it was a pleasure to stay there. It made the perfect Birthday present for my husband, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

We were really delighted with this hotel. It definitely exceeded our expectations. We arrived on the train and just wheeled our bags the 2 blocks to the hotel. It was spotlessly clean, the staff were welcoming and very helpful, Breakfast was a more than adequate buffet. This hotel is very good value. On the day we left we were able to walk to the airport bus stop so the location could not have been better. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Fantastic hotel for a very reasonable price. Our room on the top floor was enormous and nicely decorated and furnished. The TV room was well presented, and breakfast was lovely. Excellent location right near the main train station, and easy walking distance to many of the sights in the city. Would highly recommend the Hotel Urbani.

A very welcoming hotel in a slightly dodgy area, but very convenient for a few days' sightseeing. Friendly and helpful staff. My room at the back was small but quieter than those on the front.

I was two nights in the hotel, and was the best hotel I visited in Italy. The price was really really low regarding the quality of the room, breakfast and staff. Really clean and charm. I reccomend everybody to go there. Really close to the train station and the town centre.

très bien situé dans une petite rue calme près de la gare puerta nova (plein centre). les employés vraiment sympas. les chambres sont ok, avec la clim. pas trop diffile de se garer dans les rues adjacentes pendant l'été.

We had a big problem in our room. There was a only wooden and locked door to separate us with another room. We wake up at 2:00 am because of people's noise coming from another room. Because there was only a locked wooden door between us.

This was a lovely hotel within the price range! Excellent staff, good facilities. The only drawback is its location in a very busy area of Turin, which means that complete quiet can't be guaranteed.

My husband and I loved staying here. The location is perfect, near the train and metro, close to all the hot locations. There's a grocery store nearby and the Valentino park is the best. Prostitutes on the streets surrounding didn't pose a problem or trouble. The staff all spoke English and they stowed our huge bike boxes for three days while we traveled to the coast. Breakfast was the best, most complete we found anywhere! Walls are paper thin but doable. Internet reasonable. Great crash pad with great public areas and helpful, accommodating staff. Thanks!

I stayed in Turin for a night gig and I choosed this hotel for a good reletion between price/quality. friendly staff, room very clean even if a little bit small, good breakfast (but coffe was awful! too long and too bitter! I took a tea instead!). Location: near the railway station and metro and not far from the city center, but surroundings aren't interesting and without any type of turistic attraction. someone says that it's a dangerous area, but it's only a station area, so, eyes open...
