I paid only 65 euros per night but the hotel apeared to be a 100++ euro place. Very near Stazione Porta Nuova. Room walls appear to be thin. Apparently we accidentally disturbed a neighbour very early in the morning getting ready to leave for an early flight. (Scuzi)

The hotel is located near the big rail station and the shopping street. It is convenience. I am relative satisfied with the room, but I do not like the bath room very much. Because it is relative old, and is not good cleaned. Some parts of the shower cubicle have mold, and it smells bad. The stuffs of the reception are also not so friendly. We had to wait long on the first time at the reception. Because a receptionist was always on the phone, and she had not so much of consideration for us.

Hotel Urbani is just a few minutes walk from the Torino Porto Nuova train station, easy walking distance to the restaurants, shopping, museums, and sightseeing. The Metro, streetcars and buslines are all close by. Self-service laundry is two blocks away. The hotel breakfast buffet is good -- overall, the hotel is a very good value. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but clean. It was quiet and comfortable, and I would definitely return on future trips to Torino.

I asked for a double room and what I got was a room with 2single beds. Questioning reception, I was told that I had to specify 1 bed or they automatically vgive you 2 singles. When making reservations, there was not any boxes to check off what size bed is preferred. This made me alittle upset and by the attitude of reception, it made me feel as though it were my fault due to ignorance of the procedure of this hotel. I have traveled to Italy several times and this is the first time I ran into this kind of a problem.

I had a great stay at the Urbani. It's a 5 minute walk from the main train station which was very convenient to the airport shuttle bus, which stops there. The front desk staff was *very* helpful with questions I had concerning my stay in Turin. Access to the wi-fi was very convenient to have. The complementary breakfast was great with meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit, cereals and juices. It was just enough to start my day and hold me over until the late afternoon when I had time to stop for a meal. The room was just fine for my needs. The only weird thing was the shower. I think it was handicap-friendly, but it seemed to have a door panel missing and was very difficult to shower and not drench the whole bathroom. Other than that, the water pressure was fine and it was always hot. Turin is a very walker-friendly city and I think the Urbani is a great place for your home base. I'd definitely stay there again.

We loved Turin. The Hotel is in a great location as it is close to the railway station and also close to central Turin. There are also many bars and restaurants close to Hotel Urbani. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for location, service and price.

Although this was a lovely hotel with very helpfull and pleasant staff the street in which it was situated was a bit of a let down. The day we arrived the first thing we noticed was that there were a couple of "ladies of the night" hanging around, infact we were not quite sure which gender they actually were. One night we were kept awake with people from the restaurant opposite fighting in the street which resulted in the police having to be called. If this hotel was in another street i would have no problem recommending it to others.

The staff at the Hotel Urbani were warm and welcoming. They were very helpful in arranging parking for my car nearby and on the last night as I had a very early start they allowed me to park outside the door. Everything was clean and although the room was quite impersonal in the style of a chain hotel, it had everything you needed, bed was comfortable, everything worked, bathroom spotlessly clean and relatively spacious. This is not a luxery hotel or with any great character but cannot be faulted for comfort and cleanliness. Also the breakfast was buffet continental style and had plenty fo fill you. I was recommended a restaurant nearby also called Urbani which was really nice and given a map of the town. The reception was open 24 hours so always there was somebody to help you if needed. There was internet in the downstairs lounge, which had a rate of a couple of euros for half an hour but as I was only using it for 10 or 15 minutes they never charged me. When I had to send an emergency fax, it was no problem to use their machine. The hotel is well located, just a few minutes walk over to the historic old part of town and you are near to many bars and restaurants, banks etc. This hotel was good value for money and as I really enjoyed Turin I would have no hesitation in going back to the Hotel Urbani or recommending it to my friends.

I thought this was a good hotel at a good price and the location was OK. Very convenient to the rail station it was about a block and a half on the ‘wrong’ side of Corso Vittorio Emanuele. This location saved us money on the hotel room (65 euro a night) and still allowed us to walk to the tourist sites. The room was very nice, the staff friendly and I had no complaints about the neighborhood.

We wanted a hotel near Porta Nuova Train Station - and Urbani is only 100 metres or so from the station. It was excellent value for money, costing us only 65 euro incl. breakfast. The room was clean, neatly furnished, and had a good bathroom. Initially we were given a twin room overlooking the road. We returned to the desk and asked if we could have a 'matrimoniale' (double bedded room), and were straight away given keys for a room on about the 5th floor overlooking the courtyard at the back of the hotel. This roomed seemed nicer, quieter, had a small balcony, and the beds made up as a double. Breakfast was pretty good - a buffet. Coffee was do-it-yourself from a machine, so not that nice.

The breakfast is great! We only stayed one night in the city, so the breakfast is very importance to us. But I was very angry for their charge way. As venere committed, I can cancel the booking and do not have the penalty in 2 days before check-in. However, they hold the money in 10 days before! If I cancel the booking in 2 days before, the money can't be refund until 2 weeks later. It's very unfair!

I was surprised at how nice the hotel was given the low price. The towels, toiletries etc... were of excellent quality. The location was great. In spite of being very close to train station, there is no noise from the trains. The only problem is that they don't have any "letto matrimoniale" The full beds are two single beds pushed togther, as is VERY common in Italy.

The room was really comfortable and the bathroom was clean and nice. Only negative thing about the room was the noise - we could here everything the people in the room next to ours were discussing, probably because of the connecting door between the two rooms. Location is great and the street despite the vicinity to the railway station is fine (much better than the nearby via Nizza!). Rich breakfast buffet, however the coffee is offered from a coffee machine.

I found the staff extremely well mannered and ready to provide very good service. The location was wonderfully convenient. I had a large balcony and the view of the courtyards below and the surrounding buildings was very evocative for me and I loved it. The view kept me in a room that was uncomfortably small, especially for a week's stay. I had to use part of my bed for a surface and several days asked the staff to not come in because it was so tight. At the same time, the price was moderate. I would have paid more, however, for space. All in all, I cannot complain and would stay again if a larger room were available. Lovely city, lovely people with a real respect for food, art and culture. I have become a fan over the years of Turin and am so thrilled it is and continues to be 'genuino'

There was a bit cold in the room.We tried to switch on the warm air, but still it was not very warm. The sound isolation is not very good. You can hear pretty much if your neiboughrs are talking a bit louder. However, except for these two minuses, the hotel is very central, it is clean, easy to reach from the bus terminal SADEM and also close to the station. And the breakfest is really good!

Breakfast was GOOD, almost everything you would expect in a BF except for sausages, scrambled eggs, etc. The location is great, you can walk to ALL the interesting spots in the center of the city. Hotel in general very very good. Maybe the employees did not get to understand our needs (communication problems?¿) although they were very polite and kind. This hotel is a very basic hotel - we were charged euro 220 per night which was way too much for a hotel of this quality. It was a very pleasant stay. Very clean hotel, good size rooms with modern appliances and good breakfast. It was a pleasant surprise to find such a hotel very close to the station in Italy and a good value for the quality of stay.

We booked a double room but were given a twin room in the annexe of the main building. The receptionists said it was not possible to change to a different room, without providing any explanation. The mattresses were old and too soft. We did not feel we were treated as guests but rather shoved to fill a spare, unwanted room, the part of the hotel that would have been left empty and un-used otherwise. Breakfast was okay with a lot of choices but mostly tinned or processed food; there was very little fresh or freshly made produce. The location was very convenient, just 5 minutes on foot from Porta Nuova.

The room was perfect: clean, comfortable, with hairdrier and amenities in the bathroom, TV, minibar, safety box. Breakfast was not bad. Personnel very friendly. I will look for this hotel whenever I return to Turin.

Ottimo hotel, nelle immediate vicinanze della stazione di Porta Nuova. Ideale per visitare a piedi la città. Buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Not bad. The staff was lovely but I found the room very small and the linen a little dodgy. But quite good. I felt comfortable staying there.

A very good hotel, near the central station and the centre of the city. High level of cleanliness and quitness of the rooms. Very good relationship between price and quality. I have been very well there.

The quality of this hotel is excellent for the price. There is an extensive breakfast buffet. It's just two blocks from Porta Nueva Stacione, but quite quiet, and not as seedy as some descriptions led me to expect.

Decent hotel - on a reasonably quiet street (not a main road) a few minutes from the station. Good breakfast served in the morning. I'd stay there again.

Was very comfortable and clean and welcome relief from some small rooms we had in other European cities. Excellent value. Desk employees very helpful. Would stay there again.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Turin Not easy to find if you travel by car, due to some road works and one way roads in the area. Even if the surrounding seems a little bit downgraded (close to Porta Nuova rail station) the hotel itself is a little gem: completely refurbished, helpful and professional staff, very clean and comfortable room, good breakfast, very close to the city center. Will surely return soon!

(In my case) very clairaudient due to a 'thin' connecting door to the neighboring room.

The hotel Urbani was our last stop on our tour of Italy and we really did save the best until last. The hotel is very smart and modern, easy to find, in a very good location for exploring the city and fantastic value. This was more like a four-star hotel than a three-star, with excellent public areas, very friendly and helpful staff and a lovely, comfortable room with a spotless bathroom. The rooms were almost silent at night and breakfast was grand and expansive - meats, cheeses, cereal, yoghurt, croissants, breads. Literally everything you could want. I really didn't want to leave! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and I definitely would return in future.

Amazingly inexpensive for the quality of hotel. Why pay more? We actually ended up with an "attic" room which had a slanted ceiling. It was twice the size of the regular room our friends had. Bathroom was excellent, great shower. Quiet. Location was fantastic, we walked to everything. We stayed only one night.

Would recommend hotel. Very good value for money. Lovely staff who were very helpful and spoke good English! Our room was spotless and comfortable. Great breakfast! Turin was good. Recommend train ride thru Alps (only 21 euros for two!) and the Egyptian Museum.

Very convenient location (less than 100 metres to the main railway station) and therefore within walking distance to the city centre. Road works for the new metro nearby did not hinder us. Clean rooms and good breakfast. Staff polite and competent.

Good accomodation, fair price/quality ratio, small but very clean rooms, little bit to noisy from the neighbouring rooms, location very central. I would return at any other time.

Only disappointment : I asked for a double bedroom and I had each time I was allocated a twin bedroom Staff very helpful and excellent breakfast. Breakfast time should start earlier the weekdays (6am or 6.30am) because both time we had to take early train or bus to the airport. Hotel very well located regarding Porta Nuova railway station for ski destinations and from the bus to the airport. Well located to visit the old town too. Excellent pizzeria nearby (Amici in Vittorio Emanuel Street): advice given by the staff ! Quiet and modern hotel.
