I had a good stay and found the buffet breakfast better than I imagined. I would return, but would like to point out: I stayed in room 205. Between this room and the one next to it there is a sliding door that has been blocked, but it does not stop the light from that room shining under the sliding door. The bathroom has the usual "let's protect the environment" notice, but the breakfast room had 2 televisions going when I arrived!! I asked for one to be switched off. Are 2 TVs really necessary? Is any TV necessary?

Hotel urbani was very clean, my room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. a bit noisy early in the moring as i was facing the street but that was ok. most staff were a bit rude except for 3 in particular who were very pleasant. pretty good location, area felt pretty safe even though near the station. i would definately recommend it to anyone, very good value for money i thought. id stay here again.

Everything was perfect but the room itself. Although we had reserved several weeks ahead, we were given a room on the fifth and last floor which was like an attic in which you had to bend your body to get to the bed. The lights were extremely parcimonious to the point we could not read. Otherwise it's a quiet, well placed, extremely clean hotel with an excellent breakfast buffet. We saw other rooms which had nothing to do with ours.

I absolutely advice you to stay in Hotel Urbani because it's really near to the historical centre of Turin, near to the main railway station (100 mt!) and rather near to the Valentino's Park, that is lovely especially in Spring and Summer! If I'll be back in Turin I'll really enjoy to taste again the Breakfast Buffet in Hotel Urbani and I'll have a tasting dinner in one of the typical Restaurants in the Hotel surroundings!

When I asked the desk clerk for help with maps and directions, he was very helpful. The breakfast was decent but not great: yogurt, fresh croissant, sliced cold meat (a sausage, sometimes ham) and cheese, pre-packaged baked goods, a fresh fruit tart, canned apricots and prunes, fruit juices and coffee.

Reading some of the reviews I was a little worried about the neighborhood and the cleanliness of the hotel but I found the neighborhood to be quite safe and the hotel was very clean and modern. There are many fine eating places very near and an excellent grocery stove around the corner. It is overall an excellent choice for a stay in a very nice city.

Ours was an overnight stay en route from Rome to UK. We arrived very late (2230) but received excellent service and support. We also had to leave early the following morning but a full breakfast was available even though it was before the official time. An all-round excellent experience

We had a nice stay. The hotel is very close to the rail station. There is some "suspect" activity in the area of the train station but we were not out late at night and it did not bother us. There are not a lot of restaurant options in the immediate vicinity.

I paid only 65 euros per night but the hotel apeared to be a 100++ euro place. Very near Stazione Porta Nuova. Room walls appear to be thin. Apparently we accidentally disturbed a neighbour very early in the morning getting ready to leave for an early flight. (Scuzi)

The hotel is located near the big rail station and the shopping street. It is convenience. I am relative satisfied with the room, but I do not like the bath room very much. Because it is relative old, and is not good cleaned. Some parts of the shower cubicle have mold, and it smells bad. The stuffs of the reception are also not so friendly. We had to wait long on the first time at the reception. Because a receptionist was always on the phone, and she had not so much of consideration for us.

Hotel Urbani is just a few minutes walk from the Torino Porto Nuova train station, easy walking distance to the restaurants, shopping, museums, and sightseeing. The Metro, streetcars and buslines are all close by. Self-service laundry is two blocks away. The hotel breakfast buffet is good -- overall, the hotel is a very good value. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but clean. It was quiet and comfortable, and I would definitely return on future trips to Torino.

I asked for a double room and what I got was a room with 2single beds. Questioning reception, I was told that I had to specify 1 bed or they automatically vgive you 2 singles. When making reservations, there was not any boxes to check off what size bed is preferred. This made me alittle upset and by the attitude of reception, it made me feel as though it were my fault due to ignorance of the procedure of this hotel. I have traveled to Italy several times and this is the first time I ran into this kind of a problem.

I had a great stay at the Urbani. It's a 5 minute walk from the main train station which was very convenient to the airport shuttle bus, which stops there. The front desk staff was *very* helpful with questions I had concerning my stay in Turin. Access to the wi-fi was very convenient to have. The complementary breakfast was great with meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit, cereals and juices. It was just enough to start my day and hold me over until the late afternoon when I had time to stop for a meal. The room was just fine for my needs. The only weird thing was the shower. I think it was handicap-friendly, but it seemed to have a door panel missing and was very difficult to shower and not drench the whole bathroom. Other than that, the water pressure was fine and it was always hot. Turin is a very walker-friendly city and I think the Urbani is a great place for your home base. I'd definitely stay there again.

Although this was a lovely hotel with very helpfull and pleasant staff the street in which it was situated was a bit of a let down. The day we arrived the first thing we noticed was that there were a couple of "ladies of the night" hanging around, infact we were not quite sure which gender they actually were. One night we were kept awake with people from the restaurant opposite fighting in the street which resulted in the police having to be called. If this hotel was in another street i would have no problem recommending it to others.

The staff at the Hotel Urbani were warm and welcoming. They were very helpful in arranging parking for my car nearby and on the last night as I had a very early start they allowed me to park outside the door. Everything was clean and although the room was quite impersonal in the style of a chain hotel, it had everything you needed, bed was comfortable, everything worked, bathroom spotlessly clean and relatively spacious. This is not a luxery hotel or with any great character but cannot be faulted for comfort and cleanliness. Also the breakfast was buffet continental style and had plenty fo fill you. I was recommended a restaurant nearby also called Urbani which was really nice and given a map of the town. The reception was open 24 hours so always there was somebody to help you if needed. There was internet in the downstairs lounge, which had a rate of a couple of euros for half an hour but as I was only using it for 10 or 15 minutes they never charged me. When I had to send an emergency fax, it was no problem to use their machine. The hotel is well located, just a few minutes walk over to the historic old part of town and you are near to many bars and restaurants, banks etc. This hotel was good value for money and as I really enjoyed Turin I would have no hesitation in going back to the Hotel Urbani or recommending it to my friends.

I thought this was a good hotel at a good price and the location was OK. Very convenient to the rail station it was about a block and a half on the ‘wrong’ side of Corso Vittorio Emanuele. This location saved us money on the hotel room (65 euro a night) and still allowed us to walk to the tourist sites. The room was very nice, the staff friendly and I had no complaints about the neighborhood.

We wanted a hotel near Porta Nuova Train Station - and Urbani is only 100 metres or so from the station. It was excellent value for money, costing us only 65 euro incl. breakfast. The room was clean, neatly furnished, and had a good bathroom. Initially we were given a twin room overlooking the road. We returned to the desk and asked if we could have a 'matrimoniale' (double bedded room), and were straight away given keys for a room on about the 5th floor overlooking the courtyard at the back of the hotel. This roomed seemed nicer, quieter, had a small balcony, and the beds made up as a double. Breakfast was pretty good - a buffet. Coffee was do-it-yourself from a machine, so not that nice.

The breakfast is great! We only stayed one night in the city, so the breakfast is very importance to us. But I was very angry for their charge way. As venere committed, I can cancel the booking and do not have the penalty in 2 days before check-in. However, they hold the money in 10 days before! If I cancel the booking in 2 days before, the money can't be refund until 2 weeks later. It's very unfair!

I was surprised at how nice the hotel was given the low price. The towels, toiletries etc... were of excellent quality. The location was great. In spite of being very close to train station, there is no noise from the trains. The only problem is that they don't have any "letto matrimoniale" The full beds are two single beds pushed togther, as is VERY common in Italy.

The room was really comfortable and the bathroom was clean and nice. Only negative thing about the room was the noise - we could here everything the people in the room next to ours were discussing, probably because of the connecting door between the two rooms. Location is great and the street despite the vicinity to the railway station is fine (much better than the nearby via Nizza!). Rich breakfast buffet, however the coffee is offered from a coffee machine.

I found the staff extremely well mannered and ready to provide very good service. The location was wonderfully convenient. I had a large balcony and the view of the courtyards below and the surrounding buildings was very evocative for me and I loved it. The view kept me in a room that was uncomfortably small, especially for a week's stay. I had to use part of my bed for a surface and several days asked the staff to not come in because it was so tight. At the same time, the price was moderate. I would have paid more, however, for space. All in all, I cannot complain and would stay again if a larger room were available. Lovely city, lovely people with a real respect for food, art and culture. I have become a fan over the years of Turin and am so thrilled it is and continues to be 'genuino'

There was a bit cold in the room.We tried to switch on the warm air, but still it was not very warm. The sound isolation is not very good. You can hear pretty much if your neiboughrs are talking a bit louder. However, except for these two minuses, the hotel is very central, it is clean, easy to reach from the bus terminal SADEM and also close to the station. And the breakfest is really good!

Extremely well located, price was very competitive (59€ breakfast included) for a double room. Breakfast was GOOD, almost everything you would expect in a BF except for sausages, scrambled eggs, etc. The location is great, you can walk to ALL the interesting spots in the center of the city. Hotel in general very very good. Maybe the employees did not get to understand our needs (communication problems?¿) although they were very polite and kind. This hotel is a very basic hotel - we were charged euro 220 per night which was way too much for a hotel of this quality. The room had a terrible smell which made the room difficult to spend any time in. I understand rooms are normally abourd euro 70 per night which would be a more suitable price for this type of hotel.

The hotel's location is very convenient to the train station and to all public transportation. although it is not the most scenic part of the city, it is conveniently located and within walking distance to major attractions. the staff is very pleasant, and accommodating , offering good information about the city. maps and visitor information is readily available. the breakfast is plentiful. the lobby area is very large with 2 nice rooms to sit and read or talk. the rooms are very small so this is definitely a plus when in need of space. the rooms were clean, comfortable, but extremely small. the bathrooms are clean and functional and of average size. Prostitutes on the streets surrounding didn't pose a problem or trouble. The staff all spoke English and they stowed our huge bike boxes for three days while we traveled to the coast. Breakfast was the best, most complete we found anywhere! Walls are paper thin but doable. Internet reasonable. Great crash pad with great public areas and helpful, accommodating staff. Thanks!

I stayed in Turin for a night gig and I choosed this hotel for a good reletion between price/quality. friendly staff, room very clean even if a little bit small, good breakfast (but coffe was awful! too long and too bitter! I took a tea instead!). Location: near the railway station and metro and not far from the city center, but surroundings aren't interesting and without any type of turistic attraction. someone says that it's a dangerous area, but it's only a station area, so, eyes open...

Wonderful and kind personnel. Good language skills and helpful attitude. Breakfast very good (rich and quite tasty). Room was very clean, bath room spatious but the room itself quite small. The smell of the kitchen was usually in the room, but air conditioning worked very well. Location was good: near the railway station and metro and not far from the city center... and bad: the area was little bit notorious (but didn't cause any harm to me). I would stay at Hotel Urbani during my next journey to Torino. I have spent very pleasant 10 days there - thanks to the wonderful personnel of the hotel!

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Urbani - the employees were all very courteous and competent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would like to apologies for forgetting to let you know we were staying one day less than originally booked. Sincerely kate Bentley

It was a very reasonable stay.Near to the station, the room is clean. One problem is there is 1 set of towels in the bathroom for 2 person. It takes more than half an hour for the employe to bring one more set.But as a whole,it was a nice stay as the price.

Despite emails nd a personal visit prior to my arrival and a word at check in my request for a silent room i was subjected to six motors and the air conditioning engine. The alternative room offered was overlooking the same noisy courtyard. No grace given by staff who could not understand the need for quiet or the all night disturbance of noise.

Simple, clean accommodations near the main train station. Service was good. Air conditioning was good. Breakfast was not gourmet, but perfectly fine. Access to internet in lobby was convenient, though there was a small extra charge. Staff was friendly, spoke at least 3 languages from what I heard. Despite being so close to the train station, we had zero problems with the area, coming in as late as 11:30 p.m.

Excelent restaurante just besides the Hotel. The hotel is absolutelly commendable. The proximity to Porta Nova RR Station facilitates the departure for regional trips. Also the new Metro and classical buses are almost "in the door" of the Urbani Hotel. Travellers do not hesitate and go.

This hotel is ideal for a relatively cheap stay in Torino. Perfectly good rooms all clean and a good breakfast choice. Close to main transport links and within walking distance of most central spots in the city

Hotel semplicemente perfetto.

It was a very pleasant stay. Very clean hotel, good size rooms with modern appliances and good breakfast. It was a pleasant surprise to find such a hotel very close to the station in Italy and a good value for the quality of stay.

We booked a double room but were given a twin room in the annexe of the main building. The receptionists said it was not possible to change to a different room, without providing any explanation. The mattresses were old and too soft. We did not feel we were treated as guests but rather shoved to fill a spare, unwanted room, the part of the hotel that would have been left empty and un-used otherwise. Breakfast was okay with a lot of choices but mostly tinned or processed food; there was very little fresh or freshly made produce. The location was very convenient, just 5 minutes on foot from Porta Nuova.

Not bad. The staff was lovely but I found the room very small and the linen a little dodgy. But quite good. I felt comfortable staying there.
