Hotel Nazionale - Turin

This was once a grand hotel which is in need of renovation. The rooms are quite spacious (the room we had was almost the size of an apartment) and the location is excellent. Many of Torino's attractions can be reached by foot. We did see some ants in the bathroom on the first night but the staff attended to this once we told them. Breakfast was limited but the waitress was very friendly and often had long conversations with us.

The hotel is very difficult to find if driving, but once there the staff were very helpful and gave excellent restaurant recommendations. The family room was very large and exceeded expectations. However, the sounds from the street lasted into the early hours of the morning as there is a nightclub nearby so definitely take earplugs if planning to stay as we got no sleep.

Wonderful location for seeing the downtown area. Easy walking to attractions (and we did it with three children under the age of four). A little noisy on the street side becuase we needed to leave the window open to cool off. Price was reasonable for location. Staff was very helpful.

Il nostro soggiorno all'Hotel Nazionale è stato in generale molto positivo. L'Hotel si trova in una posizione centralissima. Abbiamo trovato le stanze pulite ed ordinate ogni giorno. La colazione che viene servita è sempre stata abbondante, molto varia e di buona qualità. Il personale è stato gentile, riservato e pronto ad accogliere ogni nostra richiesta. Ricordiamo poi, a chi fosse interessato a questo genere di curiosità, che l'albergo nel 1974 ha ospitato la troupe del regista Dario Argento per molte riprese del film Profondo Rosso.
