About Hotel Golden Palace

exterior Hotel Golden Palace exterior The elegant Golden Palace hotel is located in the heart of Turin, on via dell'Arcivescovado, just a short walk from the city's historic center. The hotel is elegantly furnished, and every detail and material has been designed and projected with extreme attention.

The hotel bar offers a refined and modern environment, characterized by black glass walls, the Winner restaurant, with marble floors and golden decorations on the walls, can accommodate up to 80 persons, the Congress Centre features 4 meeting rooms and can host from 12 to 290 participants, while the GoldenSPA wellness centre offers a diverse choice of massages and beauty treatments.

The Golden Palace hotel furthermore features an indoor swimming pool and a fitness centre for its guests. A high-speed Internet connection is available in all rooms while an Internet Point is at guests' disposal in the lobby.

PLEASE NOTE: in the Christmas period the GoldenSPA will be open according to the following schedule:
on the 7th and 8th December it will be open from 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. to hotel guests only;
on the 24th December it will be open until 6 p.m;
from the 25th December 2009 to the 3rd January 2010 it will be closed;
on the 6th January it will be open from 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. to hotel guests only.
The swimming pool, sauna and Turkish bath will be closed from 9th December to 15th January 2010.

In general the stay was nice. The rooms were very nice, beautiful decor, clean, comfortable. Service was nice, not what i usually experience at a five star hotel. I found the staff a bit aloof and not very friendly.The location is great and very central. My biggest dissapointmnet was the breakfast. The breakfast buffet was not five star in a long shot. We had breakfast only on the first morning and then went out for breakfast on the following days. The food was uninteresting, did not appear fresh, cuppacino was cold,bread was dry and stale, ham was off. Just not appetising at all. We were in Turin attending the Salon del Gusto and Terra Madre and one of the suggested dinners was to be held at the restaurant at the hotel. After breakfast, I had no interest or would even consider eating dinner there. I am a chef and own a restaurant myself. If the chef had so little interest in the breakfast , why would he care more about what he serves for dinner?

Modern, tastedul, quiet opulence and dsicreet service. I had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. Other guests (I was there mid-week) were all business / corporate types

Excellent stay, very comfortable rooms and good service. The Restaurant Winner has excellent food a bit pricey but with good overall quality. Nevertheless, the service at restaurant is very slow at at times seemed like the staff lacked experience. The night I ate there the room was half full and although the were enough waiters, they seemed not to know what to do most of the time. We had to wait for service at all stages of dinner to the point of frustration!

By car
From the A4 Torino-Venezia highway and the A5 Aosta-Torino highway, exit at corso Giulio Cesare and follow the indications towards the centro-stazione Porta Nuova.
From the A6 Savona-Torino highway and the A21 Piacenza-Torino highway, take the corso Unità d'Italia exit and head towards the centro-stazione Porta Nuova.
From the A32 Bardonecchia-Torino highway, exit at corso Francia and follow directions to the centro-stazione Porta Nuova.

By train
The Torino Porta Nuova railway station is situated only 400 metres from the property.

By airplane
The hotel is around 27 km from the Caselle-Sandro Pertini airport and can be easily accessed by bus. Take the bus to the city-centre and get off at the stazione Porta Nuovastop.

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.

Check-in: the rooms are available at any time after 2 p.m.
Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than midday.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The amount of the first night will be charged on your credit card in case of late cancellation or no show. The GoldenSPA is closed for Christmastime Holidays from 25th to 28th December 2008 and from 1st to 6th January 2009.
