Hotel Golden Palace - Turin

In general the stay was nice. The rooms were very nice, beautiful decor, clean, comfortable. Service was nice, not what i usually experience at a five star hotel. I found the staff a bit aloof and not very friendly.The location is great and very central. My biggest dissapointmnet was the breakfast. The breakfast buffet was not five star in a long shot. We had breakfast only on the first morning and then went out for breakfast on the following days. The food was uninteresting, did not appear fresh, cuppacino was cold,bread was dry and stale, ham was off. Just not appetising at all. We were in Turin attending the Salon del Gusto and Terra Madre and one of the suggested dinners was to be held at the restaurant at the hotel. After breakfast, I had no interest or would even consider eating dinner there. I am a chef and own a restaurant myself. If the chef had so little interest in the breakfast , why would he care more about what he serves for dinner?

Modern, tastedul, quiet opulence and dsicreet service. I had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. Other guests (I was there mid-week) were all business / corporate types

Excellent stay, very comfortable rooms and good service. The Restaurant Winner has excellent food a bit pricey but with good overall quality. Nevertheless, the service at restaurant is very slow at at times seemed like the staff lacked experience. The night I ate there the room was half full and although the were enough waiters, they seemed not to know what to do most of the time. We had to wait for service at all stages of dinner to the point of frustration!

Very 5 star luxury hotel with low rates. Well worth the indulgence in luxury. Superbly situated in town with access to all the sightseeing and shopping areas by foot. Turin is beautiful and the hotel equally as good. Do try it.
