Hotel Diplomatic - Turin

We requested a non-smoking room and were put in a smoking room. The beds and pillows were a little uncomfortable. Everything was within walking distance, but it's not quite "downtown".

The Hotel Diplomatic fulfilled my expectations, in fact, it was a bit better than I expected. I got the impression that the hotel would be close to the main railway station (I don't know Turin so well), but it was close to another railway station (Porta Susa). The location itself suited me fine.

Our stay at Hotel Diplomatic could not have been better. Everyone there was helpful and efficient, the location is central (50 meters from Porta Susa) and the room was great. Although we were on the street side, it was very quiet because the windows are soundproof. The hotel offers excellent value for money and I would definitely stay here again!

To avoid room 317. It was very old I had to ask for a change of room. Then, it was excellent.

The lack of a safe in a single room of a 4 star hotel these days is unacceptable.

The location is convenient and it's quite close to the metro and susa railway station. The staffs are nice and warm. It's a good choice for the journey to Turin.

Parking is not garanteed!!

Clean, efficient, comfortable; the room was immaculate. Great location by Porta Susa: for public transport, strolls through town, and bus to airports including MXP (Milan Malpensa).

Very good hotel, just right for our needs, near station. Very good value for money and great breakfast

The staff was very nice and helpful. we even checked in earlier than the time stated on the website. the room was clean with some personal hygein products available. just across the street from the south train station so very easy to find. it's a little bit of a walk to any tourist spots but a beautiful city to wonder around. they have wifi but the code is only valid for one device. good value for the quality of hotel.

I stayed at the Diplomatic for the first time, and I found the resort simply perfect in terms of service and location. The new tube surely adds a great value to this hotel giving the chance to move easily and quickly in town and between different train stations. In one word: excellent!

Very good location, a few steps from one of Turin's train stations, an underground station and a number of bus and and tram lines. Our room was comfortable, though not very spacious; the noise of the heating apparatus was the most disagreeable element. Breakfast buffet a bit limited in variety, but of good quality. Excellent price/quality relation.

Showing it's age, this hotel misses the mark for value. Enclosed parking was 19 Euros a day and in another travel book it was touted as much lower rate. Staff seemed somewhat indifferent.

Convenient for Porta Susa, decent size room and good value for money but a few touches left them down: cheap foam pillows, miserable coffee Americano style for breakfast whilst the proper machine sat unused - and this in a city famous for coffee - and at least on first floor excessive noise coming from public areas of hotel.

Somewhat run down and with poor services for a four star. It probably was state of the art luxury 10 or 15 years ago. But the price was as a 3-star so I can't complain. Vecchio, antiquato e con servizi scarsi per vantare le quattro stelle. Probabilmente era perfetto 10-15 anni fa. Ma, pagandolo come un tre stelle, ci può anche stare.

We choose to visit Turing during a long week end at the beguinning of may. We booked a triple and a double room. The extra bed turned out to be a little small but the room was spacious. Both room were very quiet (no windows on the main road). A buffet breakfast was served between 7 am and 10 am. Espresso and cappuccino were free of charge available on request. The hotel is just 15 min walking distance from the main square. I would reccomend it. Note that the private hotel parking must be reserved in advance if you think to use it. Anyway around the hotel there are many parking spots (tool parking, 0.60 euros/h); Rooms are much nicer than how they look on the photographs showed on venere.com are

They not have any parking for cars!!!! one must take place in city area park places and pay for it from 0,65 to 1,50 euro

Hotel located in good place. With parking space inside the hotel. I appreciate very much the cleaning of the front glass to my car. Internet connection in the room, was charged too much. Staff often not present at the front desk.

The hotel, despite the fact that it was a 4 stars hotel, was quite "old" in style and furnitures, the room was very small and the service not as well as it could be expected from a 4 stars hotel. The staff at the reception and in the breakfast area was very very kind, but the hotel itself... was quite ugly. The breakfast was very bad... poor and I found a piece of bred with mildew (muffa) on it! Overall, it was anyway nice.

Bonne situation de l'hôtel, très près de la gare Porta Susa et près du centre. Excellent petit déjeuner. Bon rapport qualité/prix en ce milieu du mois d'août.

The Front Desk at the Diplomatic was excellent, they were very helpful in every way possible. We stayed a week and were very pleased with the hotel! We could walk to almost everywhere in Turino from the hotel. This is an excellent hotel!

The breakfast is great! The rooms could be updated a bit - very dark.

This hotel is great choice for long weekend stay in Turin. Shops are only short walk away, airport bus station 5 min away. Staff is very helpful and professional. My room was small but very clean and had all that was required. Supermarket is 2 min away, which is very handy. Breakfast was the best I have had in any Italian hotel and I have been to many!

Hotel was well situated for access to the Royal Palace and other historic sites, and we walked and walked!! Transport was available but we needed the exercise. The only criticism was the smallness of the shower room/toilet, but that was outweighed by the daily supply of fresh fluffy towels. A wonderful City and a very good well priced hotel

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in anywhere in Europe and most of the USA. The staff was very friendly, the room was great and the price was VERY reasonable. It is very close to the train station, although there is not much else near there. But, that can be a good thing too! If I were staying longer, I would have taken the Metro and explored a little more.

Very nice surprise to find a bottle of champagne and backet of fruit in the hotel room when we arrived (honeymoon).

One of the better italian Hotels...

Very fine hotel, nice and more than comfortable room, nice service. we ordered drinks and the had a normal price and nothing added for the room-service. first we got a room where the heating did not work, but as we asked for another room it was no problem at all, the second room was perfect. we booked via internet one day before we arrived and so we got an asthonishing low price, which was the reason of a short irritation of the desk manager when we checked out, but finally everthing went okay. breakfast well assorted, lot of fruits, muesli etc., just coffee very bad for italy (grey-brown coloured). staff friendly. attention: garage was expensive, we were not told that it's not free, it was 18 euro a day. we were told just via the bill.

I was wery impressed of both Turino and the hotel, and the people who work ther, I´m coming back soon.

I thought the hotel was fine for the price and well located. My room was quite spacious but a bit dark. The bar and breakfast area were not the best but okay. Staff were courteous and helpful when asked a question.
