We had a two night stop in Torino as part of our rail journey from Garda to London. Hotel Diplomatic was ideal for that length of stay. All services were good, and staff were courteous. Any longer than that, though, and the room would need to have been bigger.

This is a typical older Euro hotel and while the rooms are not large they are comfortable and efficient with many places to store your belongings. Shower is small but clean and efficient...think cruise ship. We stayed in a double and were very pleased and would stay again. Location is excellent and so was the breakfast. Excellent value for money provided you understand the concept of an old line Italian city hotel.

We booked the room for 2 adults and 1 child, and we were told during the booking that there was no problem and that the information had been validated. However, when we arrived, there was only room for 2 adults and the manager had to change our room. He was not pleased with it and let us understood that we were creating problems. The shower was not working. Moreover, we were invoiced the parking charges automatically although we had no car parked in the lot !! The food of the restaurant is frozen food. I would no recommand this hotel at all.

Excellent price for the quality. It is very clean, spacious room ...Let's however be honest, it used to be a 4* hotel...in the 70s or early 80's. The staff is however very helpful, hotel is just outside the limited access zone (easier to reach by car), parking is well secured....and tarif, including breakfast, are just great. I would for sure recommend this hotel

The hotel lived up to its description on the website. It is well-run and a safe bet for a stay near Porta Susa station. The location is not particularly exciting but the noise from the busy road is completely stifled by multiple glazing.

We had a nice stay in this hotel, the breakfast was very rich and good! Unfortunately there was not enough staff working at the reception so there was almost always a queue. The staff had a varied knowledge in English language. The hotel is situated very well, there's an outdoor market nearby and a grocery store aswell and a couple of bus and tramway lines pass just a few steps outside the hotel.

-Room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. -Staff was not welcoming & was, on occasion, rather rude. -The parking situation was very bad. No street parking, a hotel garage that is something like modern-day highway robbery, and the nearest public lot (7 Euro/Day) ain't all that close. -The wifi in the hotel barely works. The connection is feeble, slow, and constantly gave my computer the boot. Not good for business travelers. -The "free breakfast" was dismal! Monstrously bad machine-made coffee, stale croissants and breads, and unappetizing luncheon meats. The room it's served in is underground, with no windows and washed-out fluorescent lighting. Depressing. All in all, a depressing experience. Too bad, as Turin is a great city.

The Hotel Diplomatic fulfilled my expectations, in fact, it was a bit better than I expected. I got the impression that the hotel would be close to the main railway station (I don't know Turin so well), but it was close to another railway station (Porta Susa). The location itself suited me fine.

Very good location, a few steps from one of Turin's train stations, an underground station and a number of bus and and tram lines. Our room was comfortable, though not very spacious; the noise of the heating apparatus was the most disagreeable element. Breakfast buffet a bit limited in variety, but of good quality. Excellent price/quality relation.

Convenient for Porta Susa, decent size room and good value for money but a few touches left them down: cheap foam pillows, miserable coffee Americano style for breakfast whilst the proper machine sat unused - and this in a city famous for coffee - and at least on first floor excessive noise coming from public areas of hotel.

Somewhat run down and with poor services for a four star. It probably was state of the art luxury 10 or 15 years ago. But the price was as a 3-star so I can't complain. Vecchio, antiquato e con servizi scarsi per vantare le quattro stelle. Probabilmente era perfetto 10-15 anni fa. Ma, pagandolo come un tre stelle, ci può anche stare.

We choose to visit Turing during a long week end at the beguinning of may. We booked a triple and a double room. The extra bed turned out to be a little small but the room was spacious. Both room were very quiet (no windows on the main road). A buffet breakfast was served between 7 am and 10 am. Espresso and cappuccino were free of charge available on request. The hotel is just 15 min walking distance from the main square. I would reccomend it. Note that the private hotel parking must be reserved in advance if you think to use it. Anyway around the hotel there are many parking spots (tool parking, 0.60 euros/h); Rooms are much nicer than how they look on the photographs showed on venere.com are

The hotel, despite the fact that it was a 4 stars hotel, was quite "old" in style and furnitures, the room was very small and the service not as well as it could be expected from a 4 stars hotel. The staff at the reception and in the breakfast area was very very kind, but the hotel itself... was quite ugly. very fine hotel, nice and more than comfortable room, nice service. we ordered drinks and the had a normal price and nothing added for the room-service. first we got a room where the heating did not work, but as we asked for another room it was no problem at all, the second room was perfect. we booked via internet one day before we arrived and so we got an asthonishing low price, which was the reason of a short irritation of the desk manager when we checked out, but finally everthing went okay. breakfast well assorted, lot of fruits, muesli etc., just coffee very bad for italy (grey-brown coloured). staff friendly. attention: garage was expensive, we were not told that it's not free, it was 18 euro a day. we were told just via the bill.
