Very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is fair (though note there is no alternative to the hotel in nearby streets). Our main criticism of this hotel is that on arrival we were invited to upgrade to an air-conditioned room at an extra 12 euros/day. This is a bit steep for a pretty basic requirement in Italy in August!

We stayed in a room we (lovingly) called grandma's attic. It was roomy and clean, everything was fine. The only thing I would have changed is the other room on our reservation (we traveled with family) was not near us and entailed entering from a separate door on the bottom floor, so from their room they had to go down four floors then up again on another elevator to reach the lobby and breakfast room.

I stayed here from Dec 22 to Dec 29, 2010. Staff were friendly, room was not special but cozy, surrounding area was quiet and elegant. I would return there on my next visit to Turin. In addition: This hotel is in a "art nouveau" style building and there were lots of similar buildings in neighborhood. If you interested in art nouveau style, don't miss it!

I chose this offer: double in an attic for 45€. No breakfast. Excellent quality/price ratio. The room was very quiet (last floor, far from the other rooms). The hotel is placed more or less between the rail station and the downtown. We didn't even need to take public transports. For the particular offer said above, very satisfied.

Short taxi or brisk walk from Porta Nuova Stazione. Bed was hard as a rock, but overall the room and services were great. Close to everything in the city center.

Negative: Dirty room !!!, broken and cheap furniture !!!, as I arrived with my girlfriend they tried to give me another room for extra-money , they charge an extra fee for internet and Air conditioning , as for breakfast , the light enter the room in the early morning and there is nothing to shade it, annoying. Positive: Good location , staff is polite, hystorical building (ruined by an average attention to the details, you can't mix some fine forniture with Ikea's dirty lamps and things like that). Overall: I slept in (much) better places at that price.

Although I had indicated that I would have an earlier than allowed arrival, 1PM instead of 3PM, the room wasnt't ready, although I was told to come back in an hour and it was. the room was quiet except in the morning, once breakfast started, when the hubbub in the hallway was fairly loud. The furnishings of the room were cheap, the bathroom was ugly and too cramped, and the bed was hard. The staff were very polite. The location was probably the best aspect of the hotel.

It is a very good solution for price/quality ratio. The hotel is perfectly located because it's near to the city centre and in a completely safe area. The only small fault is that the welcoming is acceptable but not excellent.

The Hotel itself was located perfectly and the condition was perfectly adequate. However we booked a specific room and when we arrived there after a long day of travelling late at night we were asked to pay a rather larger price, almost double. The receptionist n duty did not speak English which having found the hotel on an english website was surprising. Despite our attempts to pay only the smaller ammont we were forced to pay the larger. It emerged at check out that we were being 'offered' not 'forced' this room. We were very unhappy about this. The lack of English and 'choice' to upgrade should be well documented on the website.

The location of the hotel was close to the old city center but I would have liked a little closer. The streets near the hotel had driving restrictions meant there was not much traffic noise except during the day. It was still quiet even then. The front desk is not always staffed during the day so quesitons can be tough and they did not know how long it would take to take a taxi to the airport. I would think this would have been an easy question. For the money and location it is a descent choice but there are probably better ones also. The breakfast was entirely pre-packaged.

We had an awful time at this hotel. To avoid a tiny little closet room we had to pay more. The bath shown in the pictures doesn't work, and you can barley stand in the shower. There was a sky box in the room, unfortunately no channels were accessible, not even the regular Italian ones. The staff weren't able to offer any advice about the local Saints day we arrived on in terms of where to go and what would be closed. And by the time the waitress brought our coffee at breakfast, we were finished eating and ready to leave. All in all a total waste of money and horrible experience.

Hotel exclusively on the 4th floor...It seems that they do some overbooking now on week-ends in italian hotels...When we arrived, four of us (out of seven) had to cope with "ersatz" rooms under the roof (by 30 degrees Celsius and without any functioning cooler a real test for the clients...) The next day things were arranged for us according to our reservations, though...

Lovely Hotel. Nice spacious room. Very clean. Secure, with several locked doors and key entry. Not sure about location with all the security and a car with a smashed window parked near by. Comunication a little difficult but managable. Very helpful. Nice breakfast.

The only disappointment was the breakfast. Service excellent and pleasant. But the bread available was very poor - pale white rolls and white sliced bread. If the bread has to be white - I prefer wholemeal or rye - it should at least have a crisp crust. Apples were available but no cooked fruit, which I appreciate at this hour of the day.

It would have been perfect if the hotel had left us visitors some extra blankets and pillows in the room. We felt a bit cold in the middle of the night and didn't feel like disturbing the staff for some extra blankets. There was no price list regarding drinks in the mini-bar in the room either. Although they were not expensive, it would be nice if I could have an idea how much they cost in the first place. Very friendly staff.

Very nice hotel, it s like to live in a magnificient typical old building... the employees are very kind and at the same time reserved. It s non for formal person , because it s not the classic big hotel, so cold and formal, but it isn t like a bed & breakfast...it s for people that like to feel like in a house, but with the service and the confor of the hotel

Quiet hotel in down-town Torino and a good starting point for sightseeing. Some negative points: Arriving late in the evening, the staff at the reception did not speak English. Therefore, it was hard to tell her what I needed. My single room was kind of old-fashioned and not as modern and good as the photographs might suggest. A separate luggage room was not available - I had to leave my luggage in a room accessible for everyone.

My single room (nb 19) was apparently still in the making, smelling of paint (pots were hidden in the cupboards). Floor damaged and not very clean, contrarily to what is stated on the website, no hair dryer and no air-co. Overall not too bad, but certainly not good enough for a three stars hotel: I can only assume I had the worst room they had...

I came to Turin with three girlfriends for a relaxing weekend away from Florence where we study. The welcoming was absurd-- the hotel has two separate entrances and it's very unclear where to enter, plus the neighbors are rude when you're trying to figure it out. Once we got inside the check-in lady discovered that our rooms were in the other building and we had to re-enter together. They said they weren't sure if our pricce included breakfast and the woman was also very unknowledgeable about the sites around the city. The rooms were fine, although the TV was nearly impossible to figure out. The beds were pretty comfortable and the room was quiet even though it had a great location! I would definitely go for the parquet floor, the tile floor was cold and not suitable for children. The next morning we got the breakfast without having to pay an extra 6 euros and it was pretty substantial-- continental but an employee made cappuccinos for the guests. The breakfast room was nice but we didn't spend any other time in the common spaces because we were out seeing the city. Overall the employees need to get their act together to provide better welcoming and services, but if you have enough patience the place can be charming. I would stay there again.
