Hotel Alpi Resort is a small, beautiful place to stay. The staff is excellent, helpful, polite, attentive. I was there with two friends and our room was very spacious and clean. Our bathroom was big, new and clean and we received a toiletry set every morning. The breakfast was good as well, with a choice of sweet and savoury and at last I could enjoy a PROPER ITALIAN CAPPUCCINO, in the right cup, at the right temperature and with the right quantity, and forget about the horrible variations you find around in London. I will definitely come back!

Nice hotel, reasonable price. I loved the old lift, it added a bit of character. The room was a bit cold in the night, and the wifi password was not written anywhere, so we had to call the reception but it didn't say anywhere what number to press (it's 9 by the way). But apart from this the location is great, very close to Piazza V. Veneto, and the hotel was friendly and clean.

Very good location near Piazza Vittorio Veneto that provides restaurants and cafés and easy transports to everywhere in the city. You can also walk to the main attractions around. My bedroom gave onto the street but the tramway stops at night and the district is quiet. Good hotel, nice staff, good breakfast.

Location excellent. In all else, poor value for money. The room (101) was adequate size but sparsely furnished, not comfortable to sit around and relax, and poorly lit. The hotel is on the 3rd floor so you spend a lot of time waiting for the little old fashioned lift, and there isn't a nice ground-level sitting area (e.g. waiting for a taxi pickup). We decided to extend our stay to a 2nd night and they charged us much more than the first night which we booked on Venere. Parking is 15 EUR a day and they hold onto the keys so it's inconvenient as you have to go up and down the lift and deal with the front desk every time you need to access your car. Breakfast was so-so but if you go late, say 9:30, the fresh items are all gone and not replenished.

We are a mature couple who travel quite a lot. The Hotel Alpi Resort ranks with some of the best hotels we have been in. Once you get past the Medieval lift there really isnt much to grumble about. The location is first class. It is easily reached by bus 61 from Porta Nuova station and there are many very good restaurants around it.

Let the positive: clean, quiet, attentive staff and decent breakfast. Now the negative: Lilliputian bathroom, with my 186cm height I had to sit in a kamasutra type to stand to relieve myself, a toilet that is 2 m2 total seems entirely inadequate. And the street a bit gloomy appearance: dark, with little traffic, although relatively well connected. The elevator is a museum '30s, although admittedly you up and drops you. In short, I do not ever consider a 3 star but rather 1 star. And consequently the price is above its class.

This hotel is a great place to stay if you want to walk around and see Torino city center. It is near all of the major sites in the city center. Since the hotel starts on the 3rd floor of the building and the elevator is small and not inviting, you should be able to walk well.

I had a lovely, spacious corner room. The hotel itself was very quiet but there was a futbol celebration going on in the streets until the early hours of the morning, quite noisy! The staff was helpful, kind and competent and spoke enough English to be helpful to me. I like the 24 hour staffing. The front desk recommended a nearby restaurant, Porto di Savona, which was excellent. La Spada Reale Trattoria was another nearby, very good eatery. My only problem with the hotel was that wireless internet was promised but would not work in my room. Wired internet was available. I HIGHLY recommend the Visitors Bureau information booth near Palazzo Madama. They were extremely helpful in planning my visit.

Hotel Alpi Resort is a hotel comprised of a floor of rooms in an ancient palazzo, with the reception and rooms on the third story. However it is very centrally located near the sights, tho a bit far to walk from the train station. We had a quiet, good sized room which was well equipped and very clean. The buffet breakfast and free wi fi were excellent and staff was helpful.

Excellent small hotel in ideal location, close to the Piazza Vittorio Veneto, where there are restaurants, cafes, shops etc as well as being a central point for buses, trams to all over the city. If you want a posh hotel with all the frills, this is not it, but it is my ideal sort - simple, spotlessly clean, with friendly personal service. I would certainly stay here again.

Excellent base for exploring Turin being just off the piazza Vittorio Veneto. All hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Their recommendations for local restaurants were perfect. Rooms were exactly what you would expect but nice and clean and well supplied. Tip for Turin - buy the all-in pass to cover public transport and all museums. We used the 3-day pass for €25 which proved very good value.

The hotel is not that well indicated and the lobby is located on the 3rd floor. I remembered that the lobby was not at ground level but I thought it was one or two floors up. There is no sign stating to walk up or take the lift up to the 3rd floor for hotel reception. After looking around and running up a couple of flights of stairs with no success I returned to my car which was illegally parked on a fairly busy downtown street. Then the receptionist on duty came out, asking me what I was doing and berated me for not knowing that the lobby was located on the third floor! She was not very welcoming! Later in the visit she told me we could stay a little past check-in then a little while later told us it was not possible, after we had already made our plans! The rooms were very clean, but my room had a terrible odour - like of urine or sewage. I could not locate the source of the smell - I checked the linens and the bathroom and everything smelt fresh and clean. My daughters' room was fine, but located over a drinking establishment and they found it noisy when they were trying to go to bed. Breakfast was very decent. Location was good.

Excellent location and rooms for the price. Breakfast was typical for European hotels, but had pretty good selection including coffee to order. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and perfectly furnished. I traveled with my 7 year old and my elderly, yet mobile, parents, and no problems. Room was a bit small, but I didn't expect to do anything more than rest and plan the days activities and it was perfect for that. Great location within a short (2-3 mins) walk to major bus and tram lines which can take you to all of the sights. Also an easy walk (10-15 mins) to the major sights in the city center. Food was within 5 minutes walking distance. Overall an excellent stay, and I would definitely stay there again if I go back to Torino.

The Hotel Alpi Resort is great value for money. Entrance is a little strange with access to Reception being by lift to the third floor. However, the guest rooms have quality furnishing and up-to-date modern shower rooms (with hair-dryer and heated towel rails) There are items more normally found in 4 Star hotel e.g. slippers, minibar and state of the art air- conditioning and central heating. Staff are friendly and very helpful with the exception of the young lady in the breakfast room who was miserable and disinterested. It is important to note that this is primarily a hotel for business travelers. There are no real amenities other than your room and an ok breakfast and a very efficient staff. It is located on the third floor of a centrally located residential building, so if you're used to a regular hotel, you'll be put off at first. Lovely, charming, old fashioned hotel (not at all decadent!), located in a quiet street close to Vittorio Veneto Square, one of the city most agreable places, pointed out with restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. The square is across the bridge over Po River, and provides easy transportation to any part of the city. The property is at walk distance of the historical center (palaces) os the city, as well as of famous Mole Antonielana. The building preserves an old style (including the elevator, with its manual closing door), while the interior areas provide all confort and cleanliness one can expect. Easily reachable from the train station with bus line 61. There's a travel agency across the street where you can buy trains tickets. Surprisinly spacious (even single) rooms. Very friendly staff. Wouldn't even think of staying somehere else if I'm ever back to Turin. Already recommended the hotel for a couple of friends who are going to Italy this year. Very good quality/price relation.

This hotel is located on a side street to Piazza Vittorio, which is one of the most beautiful and happening piazzas in Turin. The location could not be better. I had a single room with bath for 50-54 Euro. The room was clean and spacious. The only issue I had was it was located next to the breakfast area upstairs, and the espresso machine is loud, but I was waking up at 6:00 am because of my jetlag anyway, so that was not an issue. One advice: To get from Porta Nuova to the Hotel, take Tram or Bus 61. I don't know why it doesn't say so anywhere here and it would have saved me a lot of walking.

The owner (?), the woman at the front desk, was one of the most helpful and sweet staff we've ever encountered in an Italian hotel! The free wireless internet was an unusual extra. The breakfast was generous, the room a nice size, with a lovely lounge area just outside it. The only problem we suggest she try to fix was the plumbing: the water varied between cold and scalding during the shower, and this was extremely uncomfortable not to mention dangerous. Also, the water pressure was poor most of the time in the shower.

A great little hotel, easy to find, a great location, a great room (222) with views of the river and the alps from the balcony. Be warned though - a very small lift! But intruiging none-the-less! Excellent value for money! Would certainly stay again ...

We had 2 rooms. Our room was great, we even had a bathtub with whirlpool-function. The room of our friends wasnt that good - as it said in the hoteldescription "whirlpool" they expected one as well but there was none. The hotel should change that. Breakfast was good, location very good. The heated a lot but in the night the heator was off thankfully. The hotel was perfect for a weeekend trip to Turin.

Hotel in a fantastic location (50 meters from Piazza Vittorio Veneto) and with a comfortable "family feeling" atomosphere and a friendly staff. The rooms are small but clean. Price is adequate taking into account the location.

It would be difficult to better the location of Alpi Resort: you have the city within easy reach, with one of the main squares just around the corner, and plenty of cafes etc. Also, however, not mentioned in the publicity is the equally appealing green panorama offered by the river and the hills behind the mausoleum, these views within a minute's walk. We shall definitely re-visit... we loved Turin and the Alpi Resort.

Elegant, unusual hotel. A great place for a business traveler in Turin. Parking is limited, so advise hotel in advance if you want an off street parking place,

A great hotel right in the heart of the city. We received a very friendly and helpful welcome (the people at reception were very helpful throughout our stay), the lady was able to explain the parking in the city. (The hotel does have a car park, but you have to request it in advance, which we hadn't realised. However, there is parking in the surrounding area.) The room was very nice, quite spacious with a nice bathroom and wasn't noisy, despite the hotel's central location. Breakfast was included in the price and was very nice (although don't be too late, or you might find some things have run out). The hotel is on the third floor of the building, but there is a lift to get you up. We were leaving very early on Sunday morning, and the staff gladly arranged for us to have some coffee and biscuits before we left. We would highly recommend this hotel and would go back again

very pleased with hotel, room was clean and good sized, so was bathroom. Good central location, employees pleasant and helpful. Only minor problem was the slightly rickety lift which broke down twice during our stay, and as the hotel is on the 3rd floor that was a lot of stairs.

This hotel located very convenient plece to visit in the city. And the bar-room, is a little small but, is quite comfortable. It want some restaurant where serve typical piemontese dishes around there. But you can find many nice restaurants in the city, and after the dinner, can stroll Via Po to the hotel. It's nice!

Quite a good location, just ten minutes walk from the main sights of Torino. Rooms are pleasant, comfortable, clean and quite spacious for an Italian hotel. The bathroom in our room was small and a larger person would not be able to get past the bidet and toilet to get into the shower stall or close the door on it. The breakfast area is small and was in chaos most mornings as the single attendant battled to cope with the flow of guests. We had a balcony which housed four air conditioning units on it and you had to close the window when they were in use because of the noise they made. This is a cheap hotel though and as such offered good value and I'd probably stay there again.

The hotel is located next to Piazza Vittorio and consists of two, recently renovated floors in a historic building. The hotel in itself is very cute, with a little sitting room with a large flat screen tv and a little bar that is rather comfortable if one has to work during his stay. The breakfast room is small but the breakfast is very good and varied. The room I was given was not very large but good enough, the shower is very small but the rooms are very clean. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. I took a taxi from the train station to the hotel, which cost me 7 euros. Will definitely return.
