This modern hotel is spread over four floors and offers its guests a restaurant, onsite garage parking and 24-hour room service.
They can make use of the complimentary shuttle to the beach, and sample regional pasta specialties in the informal restaurant.

Tropea is located in the middle of Calabria and 11 kilometres from Capo Vatican. Tropea is a wonderful place to visit: beach, sea, history, culture, a beautiful town full of character and history with breath-taking scenery. It is built on a steep cliff, which adds to its charm, so there are stairs leading from the town centre to the sea.

This hotel is probably half way between the station and the city centre. Everything is walking distance because Tropea is so small. This was my second time staying here and again it was pleasant. Rooms were clean, tv available, good location, friendly staff.

From the train station, follow the street which curves down around to the left under the tracks, turn left at the petrol station and you will see the sign. 5 minutes walk. Centrally located, everything accessible on foot. European style breakfast with toast, ceral, youghurts etc.

Parking was a big plus. Directions to restaurants were very good. The room, though small, was adequate with plenty of hot water.

This was a bit of a disappointment, the bathroom was horrible, the showere had no shower curtain it used to you couls tell. the television did not work and the room was souless. The bed was hard and the decor of the room was very depressing. It was difficult to find and when i phoned up to find out where no one really spoke english. We did not bother with the breakfast i cant say the hotel was atrocious in anyway it just was not very welcoming as was Tropea i doubt we will go back to this part of Italy again or this hotel.

By car
via A3 – E45 Salerno - Reggio Calabria highway:
from North : exit at Pizzo Calabro, then take the “litoranea” Pizzo-Tropea S.S. 522 for Tropea;
from South : exit Rosarno then S.S. 18 for Vibo Valentia and main road for Tropea.

By train
Lamezia Terme, Vibo Pizzo or Tropea stations. Tropea station is 500 meter from the Hotel.

By airplane
Lamezia Terme International Airport (SUF) is 45 minutes to Hotel VIRGILIO (approximate driving time) and distance is 59 kilometres (37 miles). You can get on a train or rent a car from there.
Driving directions: from the airport take the Salerno - Reggio Calabria highway and exit at Pizzo Calabro, then take the “litoranea” Pizzo-Tropea S.S. 522 for Tropea .
Trains run from the airport to Tropea station, 500 metres from the hotel.
Taxis are available for approximately €80 (prices are subject to change).
Alternatively the hotel can arrange shuttle/taxi transportation from the airport (surcharge).

La Vite - Informal, modern restaurant. Serves a range of modern and traditional Italian specialties including “Corte d’Assise” Spaghetti, “Testo al Forno” Macaroni, Tropea sweet red onions in “Agrodolce”, Grilled Swordfish and 'nduja (a spreadable salami, with pork and abundant doses of finely ground chilli pepper). Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (Only included in Halboard and Fullboard price)

Hotel can arrange transport from the airport (surcharge), and taxis are available for approximately €80 (prices are subject to change).

CANCELLATION POLICY
