Hotel Villa St. Peter - Trogir

A small, but wonderful accomodation, in a great location with the most helpful and friendly staff :)

This little hotel was a real 'find'. We loved it and loved Trogir, and would certainly go back. We would like to praise, in particular, the staff, who were so helpful. They even met us at the taxi and guided us through the maze of streets to find the hotel. Thsy were knowledgeable and gave us very useful information and advice. The room was perfect for our needs, not massive, but good value for money. Breakfast choices and service was excellent. Villa St Peter is in a quiet area of town, very central, but away from the noisier water front.

The absence of elevator was well compensated for by the friendliness and competency of the staff (especially Ann Maria who is a member of the family which owns the property)the ambience of the place and its position in the center of the old city of Trogir. The old city of Trogir is a no vehicle zone so that the free parking provided by the hotel is on the perimeter of the city (which is very small). For short stays I would suggest taking a small suitcase from the car to the hotel and leaving major luggage in the car. There is a fish restaurant (Monica) a few doors away from the hotel-tables set up in the garden and wonderful atmosphere plus interesting menu. Split is easily reached by ferry. Added bonus of the hotel-free wireless internet in the rooms which worked very well all the time of our stay.

Perfect place. Hotel immaculate, modern, room was great. Staff are very friendly and very helpful - we found ourselves calling them while we were out during the day to ask general questions and felt welcome doing so. Perfectly located (right in the centre of Trogir, amongst the restaurants and shops though on nice quiet street). We were sailing from the nearby marina (Kastella). Was short taxi ride to that and airport (about 10 mins to both). Easy to get into Split via buses - tip from staff was to catch coaches that are going through Trogir from Sibenek; they're cheap, air conditioned and direct to Split rather than the local 37 bus which makes a lot of stops. Would recommend staying at this place in Trogir over staying in Split any day. Highly recommended, rare perfection.

We occupied a very nice apartment (small) on 2nd level of building. No elevator for luggage or older people. Wide screen t.v., large refrigerator, everything new and immaculate. Small bathroom, but adequate--careful when you turn on the shower! Double paned glass to cut down street sounds. The breakfast was excellent. The location was wonderful. Trogir is a beautiful medieval village with lovely buildings, harbor area, good restaurants, small shops and more. Maybe 10min. from Split airport and 30 km from Split. I would definitely recommend this property (if you can climb stairs) and this village as a sight worth seeing.
