Hotel Continentale - Trieste

It was mentionned in my reservation confirmation from VENERE.COM that the price of parking was included.The cost of parking was 25 euros,and the hotel refused to consider the fact that my reservation included parking cost

No parking areas since is in the center of Trieste. There is a service of a car valet come and fetching the car from the hotel and bringing it back when needed for 25€ per day.

We are particularly impressed by the friendliness of the reception staff who always greeted us with warm smile. They are of course efficient and competent as far as we are concerned. On our departure they gave us a small packet of cookies and chocolate ( sono gustoso! ) as farewell gift. This is the first time I receiced such a nice treat from a hotel all these years of travel ( allow my ignorance ).

The camp bed in the room for my 3 children was missing a slat which made it uncomfortable and so an extra room was provided free of charge for 2 nights. Hotel is in a good central location - 5min walk to seafront and 10 - 15min to railway station.

We stayed for only one night in a double room which was very clean and newly refurbished, but a bit on the small side (the bathroom however was huge). The hotel staff was very helpful and we used the parking service which worked out fine despite the fact that you need to pay extra if you want your car before 0720 in the morning. Breakfast was nice but not exceptional which in my experience is the norm in Italy. The location is excellent.

I've been to Trieste several times since 2003 and recently discovered this hotel based on a recommendation from a client. A comfortable hotel centrally located in Trieste, surrounded by eatting and drinking facilities. Highly recommend this one.

The hotel staff is quite rude and standoffish. The air-conditioning is centralized and it's not possible to switch it off in your own room... incredible!!!

A very nice location in the centre of Trieste. Staff were friendly and competent. A single room is TINY - not even space in the wardrobe for clothes. TV is so big, the work desk is too small to accomodate it and allow you to work. Price is a little high but it is a general problem with Trieste because there are a lack of multinational five star hotels to force 3 and 4 star hotels to lower prices. Major bonus - free hi-speed internet. You have to leave a small refundable deposit with the front desk for the internet cable. Didn't try breakfast but was an extra 10 Euros. If you're travelling alone, reserve a double room - costs more of course.

Beautiful hotel, and excellent city center location. Nice rooms and excellent breakfast!

Nice hotel in the center of triest. a little bit too expensive, we think. we prefer hotel colombia.

Generally found staff too busy to be friendly or helpful(Reception appeared understaffed at busy times a.m)
