Hotel Carlton - Treviso

Friendly staff and convenient location, but otherwise disappointing. There were ants in my room, uncontrollable noisy AC and malfunctioning entrance door. The breakfast is too meagre for a 4* hotel.

We stayed here one night after a Ryanair flight that got in about 10pm. I wasn't game to find my way into Venice proper at that time of night as a first time visitor, so opted for one night in Treviso and chose this hotel because it was near the railway station. If you're planning to take a taxi from Treviso airport to town you will need to call one. (We didn't know this but a kind driver picking up another fare called his base for us). The fare is 15 euros flat rate. Within half an hour of landing we were at the hotel, checked in and drinking prosecco at the small pleasant bar over the road. Breakfast is fair quality with meat and cheese as well as the usual pastries and fruit, and is served in a pleasant room with an outdoor area. We didn't look around Treviso and went straight to the train station instead - a five minute walk or less. Trains leave to Venice every half hour or so and it was much more comfortable arriving there in the morning than late at night. We paid 100 euros each for single rooms, though really they were doubles. It was reasonable though not exceptional value for money. I'd recommend the Carlton to anyone travelling to Venice via Treviso at inconvenient times of day.

L'Hotel è in centro. Buona l'accoglienza. Purtroppo la camera era sporca. La tappezzeria era macchiata in più punti. Le tende sporche. Le poltrone (in tessuto) notevolmente macchiate. La moquette sul pavimento non migliora le condizione igieniche generali della stanza. Esperienza da non ripetere in questo albergo, soprattutto se con figli piccoli al seguito.

Very good value for money, a very central hotel near to the airport and train station. The staff was very helpful the room was very clean with very nice decor and of a good size, the children although in the same room had a seperate area with their own tv. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Being central it was not as quiet but not disturbing. On the whole I would fully recommend this hotel.

The receptionist was very courteous. We requested a quadruple room and were accommodated in a suite. Very clean rooms. Buffet breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay at the Carlton hotel again. Hotel is situated very near the Treviso train station and convenient for those persons arriving from Treviso airport.

A near perfect base for exploring Treviso, close to shops, railway & bus stations and all the sights.Handy for trains to Venice, Ferrara, Bologna etc & the bus to the airport. Our room was huge,stylish, clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was very good for Italy. highly recommended.

We had a quadruple room (2 bedrooms) but only 1 bathroom. Two bathrooms or at least 1 bathroom and a separate toilet would have been more convenient.

Nicely located hotel near the train station and just a short distance from the old centre. Hotel itself is somewhat old (1970s?) and in need of refurbishment. This is probably already reflected in the price. We had a delux room, which probably meant 8o inch flat screen TV. For the rest, not a bad hotel but nothing to remember as well.

WiFi advertised as being in all of hotel but no signal in bedroom - limited menu in resturant.
