Hotel Maxim - Treviolo

Arriving at night with a hire car from Orio al Serio airport, the roads are very confusing and the website location directions given were inadequate. The hotel staff were helpful when telephoned. Travelling north from Dalmine junction of A4 motorway take the new superstrada to Lecco, take the exit marked Treviolo - loc. Roncolo, and the hotel is immediately visible. It is in an industrial/residential area and only convenient if travelling by car. It is quite far from the centre of Bergamo, but staff were very helpful in indicating central parking. Although the Fontana Blu restaurant could be seen on the other side of a main road, quite a detour is needed to get there. However excellent pizzas at €1 on Friday night! Altogether, suitable for a one night stop on the way somewhere else.

Perfect for business staying

I bet you won't find the way to arrive to the hotel at your first try. Not only it is a bit complicated to find, but the roadworks make it even more confusing! Fortunately, although it was really late (about two o'clock in the morning) we had no trouble at all with the check-in, as they have people attending the desk the whole night.

For a short stay, price/quality very good. Staff very friendly. 10 minutes driving to Orio al Serio airport, very convenient.

Hotel Maxim is in quite a strange location and I think a map to find the place would be very helpful. It is stuck right next to a motorway which surprisingly was very quiet. We stayed there as we were flying early from Bergamo the next day. For this the location was perfect, probably a 10 min drive to the airport depending on the traffic. The hotel is very dated and very much a one stop shop. Breakfast was fine and the reception staff were very friendly.If you are a non smoker be sure to try and book a non smoking room, as the first one we were offered was stinky. They kindly gave us the keys for a couple of other rooms to choose which we preferred. Over all it was a good night sleep close to the airport.

We had some difficulty finding the hotel as its not in the village of Treviolo itself but is actually at the side of the main SS470 road, near the town. Once we finally found the hotel we arrived in the early hours after a late flight and were greeted and checked-in by the friendly night porter. Parking was free and was in a secure compound with remote gate access. Room was big and clean - not luxurious but very nice and surprisingly quiet with air-con. Breakfast next day was served till 10am which was good and had a basic range of buffet items. I think you would need to be driving to stay here, its quite a way out from Milan or Bergamo but its ideal for a stop off on a late arriving flight into Bergamo.
