Hotel Villa Madruzzo - Cognola, Trento

By far the nicest place we stayed on our trip. It is a bit tricky to find with a car but worth the adventure. What a lovely setting! What delicious food in the restaurant! What a relaxing pool area! We stayed two nights and wished we had a week.

This is an excellent Hotel. A little out of town but panoramic views. Very friendly staff

What a wonderful, relaxing hotel! The staff has been incredibly friendly and welcoming, the rooms were large, clean, and I had a wonderful view over a vineyard to the mountains. A room with a view, a place to breathe and a home away from home.

Hard to beat, at least if you are staying in the old, original villa. Easy parking right in front. Maps don't work too well in such hilly country but signage is good and everyone knows it. Really excellent restaurant, though pricey. Staff as professional as they come. If you have a car, a great place to stay in Trento. Were there for Christmas season, must be even more beautiful in summer. Completely satisfied. Once again, excellent staff. And a great breakfast, which I usually don't care about. Charming place.

An excellent all round hotel for accommodation. Service was friendly and very efficient.

Fantastic hotel for a good price

The rooms are LARGE and furnished with wounderful formal style couches, chairs and the beds are firm and very well dressed the antique beds were just great. Large windows that open on to a great view of the country side and the city of Trento. Fine quality bed sheets and comforters. The Air Condictioning is quite and powerful. Parking is free and the entire staff was very friendly and the fruit bowl sent to the room at 4 pm was very nice. Breakfest was all anyone could ask for in a beautiful dinning room, fresh juice and local fruit. This is an under rated hotel very very close to a 5 star. If you can get past the German guests which consist of at least 75% this is heaven.

Nice hotel in lovely setting outside Trento. Short drive or bus ride to town. You can walk into town downhill but going back is steep. Room was very large and comfortable. Staff very helpful. There are not great restaurants in Trento, but there is an excellent Argentine restaurant next to the hotel. Hotel restaurant looked interesting, but it was closed the night we were there.

We had a lovely 2 night stay and cannot recommend the hotel highly enough. We were greeted with a bottle of prosecco, savouries and a bowl of fruit in the room---all for a very reasonable rate. The restaurant was the tops with great food and efficient & sociable staff. Why is it only a 3 star hotel?
