Hotel La Perla - Tremezzo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Perla. It was located in a very nice setting with beautiful views of the lake. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.We were glad that we had a car, as it is quite a walk up the hill to the restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel, and I would love to come back!

Hotel La Perla was easily the best hotel of our recent vacation in Greece and Italy. The hotel looks brand new, very clean and the staff is helpful and super-friendly. It is a bit off the beaten track, but a shuttle service is provided to the lake below. It is a charming family-run establishment, run with lots of genuine friendliness and desire to be of help. We will come back !

The staff and management at La Perla could not have been more helpful and were unfailingly cheerful and eager to help in any way needed. Lovely views from many of the rooms and the terraces. Nice outdoor swimming pool. Restaurant menu is not extensive but they do not market the restaurant as a key asset, rather a place to fall back on if you do not want to venture out. For example there are three good restaurants (one an excellent pizzeria) within walking distance and more by short car ride. The hotel is up a steep hill, hence the lovely views, but you may well need to use the hotel bus laid on to take guests from hotel to lakeside and vice versa, morning and evening. Or, if you are active, there are lovely walks up into the mountains above / behind the hotel offering even wider views of the lake. For example a walk to a tiny chapel, takes an hour or so up a steep though not always clear path, but well rewarded when you get there.

An excellent small, local hotel, nicely equipped and decorated. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The attention to detail, from the decor to the attitude of staff was excellent. Super pool and patio areas. We will definitely go back again. Loved it! Highly recommended for a restful break in beautiful surroundings.

Marvellous hotel with stunning views of Lake Comc from the terrace. The whole hotel exceptionally clean and the staff very friendly and helpful particularly as we had a problem with our car. They found a garage and helped as interpretors.I would strongly recommend this hotel,well worth a visit.

Though La Perla is not the easiest hotel to find, we were hugely rewarded for winding our way up the steep streets once we got there by the incredibly friendly staff, the quiet, and the wonderful views from pretty much every room. We were struck by the friendliness of the staff, which is a tight family, and their consistent willingness to help us with anything. The views and the air up there on the hillside were just perfect. On the downside, the internet access was spotty. Definitely worth following the directions off the main road to get off the beaten track. Try La Figurada and/or Al Valuu for very nice culinary expericence...on a nearby hillside.

Due to the volcano in Iceland I was unable to stay at LaPerla. They were very accomodating and I was able to cancel my reservation after the cancellation date. My son and daughter in law were still able to make the trip with their 6 month old baby. When I asked them about the hotel the response I received was "The hotel was excellent -- they were so nice and accommodating. We would definitely go back there."

Quite the best welcome we have received anywhere. The place is meticulously clean and the views accross the lake and to the surrounding mountains are outstanding. The staff were wonderful and I cannot prase the place enough. The only negative that I didn't pick up in my haste to book after I read the reviews is that the hotel is a good way up a mountainside out of the town. Others, braver than I, talked of walking up and down. We took the car. There is however a lovely little trattoria just 100m away which was a lovely find. Unpretentious and genuinely Italian. I can't reccomend the place highly enough for someone looking for peace and quiet in lovely surroundings

We had a great time at La Perla. The location and view is excellent. The staff were couteous and very helpful on the local area. The room was well equiped and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good and a lovely experience given the view from the terrace. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Perla. It is a very new establishment, great view, quiet area and friendly staff. We only wish we could afford to stay there longer! :)

La Perla exceeded our expectations in more ways than one... excellent service, great room, fantastic facilities and great value for money. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy Lake Como.

One of the best staffs we encountered in Italy. Proffessional and courteous. Wish we had asked for a room on the 2nd or 3rd level, instead of the 1st level, just to have a better view and a deck to sit on. Could have stayed a lot more than 2 nights. A car is a must, due to the hotel's location, but well worth the drive up the hill to the hotel. Great,quiet,wonderful views and attention to all details put this hotel on the top of our list when we return to this area for a visit.

The hotel is an excellent value for the area. However the hotel is located a considerable distance [higher] above Lake Como than it would appear from the photos. We found the hotel somewhat difficult to find after dark.
