Hotel La Darsena - Tremezzo

La Darsena was absolutely amazing!!! Rooms were great, very spacious, staff fantastic and incredibly helpful. The breakfasts were incredible and you can sit right out on the terrace looking out at Lake Como. Really an amazing find! Highly recommend it!

Great place, would return for sure. Great location, easy walk to Villa Carlotta, amazing views from the room. The food is so good that in addition to breakfast, we also had lunch and both dinners at the restaurant. The staff is warm, welcoming and very helpful. The even gave us a present to take home and remember wonderful lake Como. Loved it!

This was a very pleasing and pretty hotel. My daughter and I arrived at 11am from the overnight flight from NYC, so we were a little early but exhausted. I assume this is why we were given the only room in the hotel with no window (though there were two skylights). It was a nice room, but frustrating because of the exquisite scenery outside and no way to view it. However, it was the best bed we had during our stay in Italy with lovely linens. The bathroom was spacious and very newly tiled with a very good shower. The restaurant was superb for dinner (the gnocchi and tiramisu a must!)and we ate there both nights. The breakfast had wonderful choice, high quality fruit, yogurt, sweet rolls and perfect cappuccino. The veranda on the lake with the mountains and scenery was so wonderful! It was a super place to spend our first nights in Italy.

A faboulous address with a fabulous staff! The only bad point is the nearest road wich is very practiced. But the quality of the hotel abd his staff let forget this point.

Beautiful clean hotel, lake view rooms quieter

We stayed in an attic room, which had a lake view but no balcony and only a bath with a hand held shower. Otherwise, we were comforatable and it was an ideal location for getting around the lake. The food was delicious and complemented by a good wine list. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall, an excellent stay.

A great hotel as a base for exploring the central part of lake Como. The breakfast was wonderful very good as were the several meals we had at the hotel restaurant.

I cannot speak highly enough of the overall service, quality, friendliness of the owners & staff & superb location on the very edge of Lake Como. La Darsena is a small hotel run personally by its owners & apart from everything else we were so impressed by the standard of the meals that we ate there every night of our 9 night stay despite numerous other restuarants in the immediate locality. Our stay there was undoubtedly the highlight of our 6 week holiday in Europe.

The Hotel is an absolute gem matching an outstanding location! Staff is very friendly and charming. Food in restaurant is quite sophisticated and of excellent quality. Breakfast on the terrace is a treat.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in anywhere. While there is no lounge etc, the rooms are lovely and spacious and there is a public park next door with plenty of leisure space and swimming access to the lake. Every request at the reception is considered and if it is possible they will try and arrange things for you. German, English, Italian and French are spoken fluently by the staff. The breakfasts on the balcony overhanging the lake are a delight. The restaurant is a spot for local celebrations which means there is good range of ages between the older tourists (who can afford the rooms) and families there to celebrate things.

Beautiful, super clean hotel in extraordinary location. restaurant is very romantic. excellent breakfast is offered and included in price. only minor problem is some noise as this hotel is located right on the main lake perimeter road and the traffic is heavy at times. otherwise, it is perfect in all respects. great value for the price. would definitely return when in that region.

This has to be one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. The views from the restaurant are stunning. The staff most pleasant and helpful and gave us a really good tip to take the Stelvio Pass en route to Bolzano. Tremezzo for us was perfect, not as busy as Bellagio but with the ferries just a few minutes down the road along with the Villa Carlotta. Perfect. We will visit again!

Was greeted with the good news of an upgrade to room with a lake view by a very enthusiatic and welcoming reception. Nothing was too much for this gentleman. The hotel is a little expensive but for that area has the benefit of free parking which is not always easy to find; the location is fabulous and the restaurant is excellent and the staff extremely polite and helpful,let them choose the wine. Fast ferry outside the door to Bellagio..... And if the staff are reading this many many thanks for the extras with the champagne :-))) We'll be back

La Darsena is quite a little jewell, by the lake and near to the boat station, where you can take rides to all the other towns of Lake COmo.The room was clean, confortable, with a great bathtub, and amenities. The restaurant fantastic and the breakfast buffet just so complete and good for all tastes. People there were kind, interesting and quite. Highly recommended.

Modern and spacious double room with lake view. Friendly staff speaking Italian, French, German and English. Deserve a fourth star. Ship departures and Villa Carlotta in walking distances: 5 min, respectively 10 min.

We felt very fortunate to have found this hotel through Venere. We may not go back to Lake Como again, but to stay at a hotel right on the lake was very special. The only problem we see with this hotel is the traffic on the road going by the hotel. But our room at the back overlooking the lake was very quiet.

The owner was most welcoming and helpful with any information we requested. The hotel position was excellent, fronting right onto the lake with no road in between as many of the hotels on this road did have.

We stayed for two nights, ate at their restaurant and cannot say enough great things about the facilities, the food and their hospitality. It was a breathtaking view from our room that was beautifully furnished and quite comfortable. Their breakfast feast was outstanding and quite varied. This was the best of our two week stay in Italy that encompassed 7 different hotels. We are definitely coming back and will stay even longer. The geocaching locations were superb. The location of the hotel is close to the ferry stops and it was easy to get around the entire lake district from here. It is a 5+ in our book.

I do not think your description did adequate service to the quality of the hotel, its restaurant, or its location. They were superb and we will definately be returning

We had the attic room without the windows, which meant that we could not see the lake from our room. Room, however, was quiet. Not the best location for the Lake Como experience, but it was convenient to the ferry.

A lovely break, with excellent service from friendly professional staff. Chef well above par. One niggle,the three car parking places reserved for the Hotel were filled and though a permit was issued for the public spaces for free, you could end up having to park your car remotely and then take a chance on getting a space adjacent to the Hotel at night.

We were thrilled with La Darsena in Tremezzo. The staff was friendly, accommodating and competent. The restaurant was top notch, and reasonably priced. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend La Darsena.

Nous avons occupé la plus "petite" chambre, donnant sur la rue, réservée à la dernière minute avec un peu de chance! Le bruit de la circulation est grandement coupé par le double vitrage, mais les oreilles sensibles peuvent effectivement se munir de boules Quiès. Pour le reste, un séjour délicieux, accueillis avec gentillesse et disponibilité par des hôtes parlant couramment français (et anglais). L'hôtel est idéalement placé, tout près d'un embarcadère dans centro Lago, qui regroupe la majeure et la plus belle partie des visites à effectuer. La chambre était de bon goût et confortable. La vue depuis la terrasse du restaurant vous met de bonne humeur au petit matin! Quant au restaurant lui-même, s'il est plus cher que la moyenne, cela reste raisonnable en regard de la qualité du service et des plats.

My wife and I stayed at the La Darsena for 5 nights in July and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The service was excellent, attentive but relaxed and the standard of our room with a balcony looking out over the lake very high. The quality of the food in the restuarant was first class and the location perfect. Highly recommended.

We were in the lake districts for 2 weeks traveling many palces. This was the nicest place we stayed. The staff that runs the hotel was first class and the food was excelent in the restuarant The room was so nice and clean etc.

A real surprise this beautifull little hotel directly on the lake. According with the picture I've seen I've never supposed the quality! Great reastaurant in plus! We suggest it very much

The only concern we had was the noisy room - it was at the back of the hotel overlooking the main road.

We were very impressed to find Hotel La Darsena as good or better than described on your website. The staff and the owners were extremely cordial for our entire stay. The dining menu was so enjoyable we dined there every night. The view and ambiance from the dining terrace over looking the lake was fantastic. Our only regret is that we did not allocate more time for our visit to Tremezzo. Hopefully, we will be able to return next year while in Italy. A very special thank you to Maria, Tiziano, Ezio and all the staff.

Excellent position overlooking the lake with view uninterrupted by the road which is behind the hotel. Room is warmly furnished, comfortable and clean. Staff were very personable and helpful. Restaurant was very good but expensive.

We had a wonderful stay at La Darsena. The staff were very accomodating. We arrived after the kitchen had closed for lunch and they made up a cold plate of delicious meats and cheeses for us. The location of the hotel is perfect to catch the ferry for travel around the lake and to visit the beautiful Villa Carlotta, just a five minute walk from the hotel. Our end room was spacious and had two balconies overlooking the lake. It was a delightful three days!

The most wonderful part of our trip. We were in Italy travelling around for 5 weeks, the hotel and staff were great. This hotel is the only one on the lake itself, our balcony was directly over water and with no road in front of hotel it was also quiet. The staff very friendly and helpful.

The attic room and view were exactly as pictured and the staff were very welcoming. The only design flaw was in the bathroom - the lack of a proper shower - there was nothing to attach the shower head to on the wall and so you basically had to sit in the bath and hold the shower nozzle.

La Darsena was everything we expected in a romantic, quiet small hotel. Our room and furnishings were exquisite, the staff was always proactive and friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Our room had a wrap around balcony on one end of the building (room 107) which provided wonderful views and coffee tableside right on the water. Tiziano, Etzo and Maria were very gracious hosts who helped us thoroughly enjoy each of our 6 days there. Ferries or buses to Bellagio or Lugano, Switzerland were very easy. We would absolutely return to this beautiful, recently renovated small, personal hotel. We lived and travelled in Italy for four years and this hotel is one of the best. KB and MB.

Our experience was great. Employees were very welcoming and curteous. Room was comfortable, clean and big as was the bathroom. View from the room was spectacular. Location was great as it was near the small downtown area and near the ferries. We would stay there again.

Nice place to be used as base to visit Come Lake. Close to boat shuttle pier. Only rooms with lake view are quiet, otherwise rooms are on the lake circle road.

Very small hotel. Nice view on the lake. We had no balcony but 2 windows. Very good restaurant and very good breakfast.

The price quoted (and paid) was higher than the price posted in the room.

The hotel staff was very courteous and friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful and provide us personalized service. The hotel sits directly on the shore of Lake Como, so we had an excellent view from our room. Our room was on the top floor, where it was very quiet and peaceful, and the room was spacious and spotless. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the dining area was gorgeous, providing us with a direct view of the lake. My only complaint is that the hotel had limited parking, only a few slots next to it, and since the hotel is on the main road going along the lake, it was kind of hard getting our car out of the parking slot onto the road, due to a lot of traffic passing by. We were there in August, no doubt the busiest vacation month of the entire year, so perhaps the traffic along the main road wouldn't be as heavy in early spring, or fall.

I had extremely high expectations, which have in part been disappointed, although the hotel is very good. My room on the second floor had only a dormer window, which greatly reduced the pleasure of the lake view: I suggest you ask for a room on the first floor. The view from the terrace of the restaurant is gorgeous, but the terrace is small and there are not too many places available. The restaurant is overpriced. There are no common areas.

La Darsena is a lovely hotel with a wonderful view on the lake. The Attic rooms are very smart and the food excellent. All the staff is really friendly and make you feel at home. We will definitely come back.

I strongly recommend this hotel. I just stayed one night and I'll remember it for ever. The views overlooking the lake are wonderful, the room was big as well as the bathroom, well-decorated, modern, everything was almost brand-new and clean. It's a good choice for a romantic holiday. I would repeat again!!

We stopped there for only one night, in stage, driving a trip in Italy.Delicious gastronomic dinner,excellent breakfast. Excellent relationship price/quality.Splendid sight:hotel is located quite on the lake bank. But the road is just behind the hotel and there is no garden and very small car park facilities.However, to recommend!

Très agréable (et trop court) séjour à l'hotel LA DARSENA. Facilement accessible en bateau depuis Come.Notre chambre au second étage (au bout du couloir, côté sud) avait du caractère, mansardée mais très spacieuse, entièrement refaite, salle de bain luxueuse,sans balcon mais avec fenêtre sur le lac, valait bien ses 150 € (petit déj-buffet inclus). Literally a restaurant with rooms, so public areas are limited to the restaurant and there are no gardens, but otherwise the hotel is superb. Right on the edge of the lake, so the room balconies are over the water, as is the restaurant terrace and the views are fantastic. Recently refurbished, the rooms are well equipped, with efficient air conditioning and excellent bathrooms. The owner is usually around, and all the staff are very proud of the hotel, so try very hard to give a good welcom and good service. It's not cheap, but it is right on the lake, the restaurant and service are first class, so overall the hotel is good value for money. The only downside is the busy lakeside main road which runs immediately at the back of the building, so rear facing rooms may be a little noisy, although the double glazing is good. We will certainly be going back.
