Hotel Maccotta - Trapani

Good location, in the centre and close to the bus stop to the airport and Palermo. The rooms are OK. The first (single) room I had was quite noisy due to the coming and going of people and discussions in the reception area. The second time I stayed there I got a nice big (double) room next to a place where reconstruction activities were taken place. Bad luck I guess. The staff at the reception seem quite bored with their job. The hotel is OK but for my next stay I would try another one.

In general the experience was a positive one. The only negative thing we experienced is that the chamber maids smoke, even though the hotel is a no smoking premises. There was huge smell of cigarette smoke near our room at the time of cleaning.

This is a very good hotel, in a very good place.

We only spent one night at this hotel, but everything was OK.

The wellcoming in this hotel is not very friendly. The rooms are small, old furnished and not comfortable. Hotel surrounding is central to the port, but also very busy and not not quiet at all by night.

I'd totally recommend this hotel - staff are very friendly, room is perfect for the price you pay and it's really central - only slight quibble is the noise insulation between rooms !

Very conveniently located in pedestrian area of this lovely town. Free parking offered is in the street. Good walking around the town, but very few restaurants.

I thought breakfast was included but it wasn't. There is a coffee machine and you can get a coffee for 0,60 euro. Our hotel room was very quiet since the window was on an open courtyard but in fact this courtyard is closed at the top. Although smoking is prohibited inside the hotel, we have seen employees smoking when having their break and the smoke concentrates into the courtyard and wafts up and into any room whose window was open. Impossible to get fresh air into your room. The hotel is located in the best part of town and well located for visiting the various attractions.

Good position (near bus stop from Trapani airport), nice room with large and confortable private bathroom, nice places around: bar, restaurant, shops. Easy to reach all destinations. Best value for money. I surely will return.

All was very good expect very loudly speaking chambermaids in the morning.

This is a newly modernised hotel right in the old town. Single room was a reasonable size - nice design, good bathroom,fairly basic comfort level but fine for a night or two. Being in the centre of a pedestrianised area, there was quite a lot of noise outside at night but turning on the air-conditioning, which was loud but effective, blotted it out. A fair price for what it was overall.

Easy to reach from the bus stop at the port. Literally a 5min walk. Friendly staff. Great room and location. Recommend the nearby Trattoria da Salvatore for a genuine local and well priced meal!

Maccotta hotel is a STRATEGIC (and good) accomodation in Trapani downtown: nice, clean, within the historical city center, 300 meters from the harbour and also from the bus stop (from the airport...). I would recommend Quartiere San Lorenzo restaurant (in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, that is a pedestrian area very close to the hotel).

Room were clean but small. Housekeeping staff very helpfull.clean towels daily, stayed 5 nights. Reception staff, mostly friendly. Close o port. walking distance to railway. Safe area On the down side. Next to building being renovated. Drilling started @ 0800 Mon -Fri.and cont until 1600 hrs. Cafes nearby open until after midnight, lots of noise from there...

A small hotel, but they were very welcoming and communicative. also, when we could not open the door, they were exceptionally helpful and fast. they recommended restaurants we loved.

The man at the desk steered me to a great restaurant only a short walk away. The hotel is located in a lively area of the town. I did have trouble finding the address to begin with.

Nice hotel with an excellent location in the historical heart of Trapani. Friendly service. Recommended for a base to visit Trapani, Marsala, Erice...
