This hotel is perfect. The staff is attentive, kind and helpful. All the information they provided was all right. The rooms are very clean. The breakfast is very good. And it is well located, not far from the Vieux Tours. And it is 5 minutes walking from the Railway Station. They also offer free WiFi.

Great little hotel that offer a bio breakfast very nice and tasty at a reasonable price, one of the best breakfast i've ever had in my journeys! Central location in a quiet area, very clean. Only one bad thing: the ancient floor is noisy so when someone pass thru the corridor you can hear the steps.

This hotel offers comfort, tranquility and excellent cleaning. All staff are fully focused on the needs of guests. They are very polite and interact with guests in a cheerful, offering an environment of harmony. The breakfast is wonderful (variety of cheeses, jams, breads, etc.), with about 50 items of high quality. Several items are regional and homemade apple cake is delicious.

A pleasant hotel in which to stay run/owned by a charming lady who is welcoming, efficient and serves an excellent breakfast. Close to the old part of the city, but there were some drawbacks: the garden to the front which comprises the car park was full but fortunately we could park in the street outside. The hotel is very much in an urban setting and a relatively busy street runs behind. In the absence of airconditioning, it is noisy at night with the windows open. The quality of the breakfast was only marred by the charge of €8.50 each for which we were not prepared

Hotel is clean, pleasantly run and in a very good location (about 2 blocks from the Cathedral and an easy walk to the old part of Tours). The room was comfortable (size is small for most American expectations but typical for this sort of hotel in Europe). Parking is extremely tricky (need to back in to small courtyard off a narrow street)!

The only item that was a bit of a shock was the conversation upon checkin regarding breakfast - we understood (wrongly) that from our checkin conversation, breakfast was included. The following morning we took it but then found we were charged 8 euros - probably our fault for not understanding the conversation but I would have booked a B&B rate if possible.

We are ex-pats living in Loches, south of Tours and planned a couple of days sightseeing (without the children). The hotel is a short walk from the cathedral and the Art Museum and a further short walk to the main shopping centre. The old town is still walkable and is highly recommended. The hotel itself is very easy to locate and the lady that checked us in was very helpful and provided a map of Tours for our reference. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the same lady was happy to bring us cups of coffee, in our room, on request. We were in room 8 which suffered from a lot of noise from the room above and people going up and down the stairs. A very enjoyable stay.

My friend and I stayed for four nights at Hotel du Manoir in Tours. We rented a car to visit some of the Loire chateaux before spending the rest of the vacation in Paris. In hindsight, we wished we would have spent even more time with Tours as our base. To start, our host and hostess were very nice, professional and accommodating. Madame suggested places to visit and helped me trace down my lost luggage. Breakfast every morning was one of the highlights of the entire trip with breads, cold cuts, cheeses, wonderful baked apples, an apple crumble pie (warm, mmm) yogurts, fruits, and juices. I won't have to repeat that you won't get this in Paris, and especially not for eight euros. That alone made us want to stay a few more days. Plus, we arrived and left by train, and merely had to walk across the large "place", cross the main street, and walk into the enclosed garden. It's one thing about France, that there are many hidden delights in the many little courtyards and Hotel du Manoir is one of them.

We had a very nice one night stay at Hotel du Manoir. The owners were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was plentiful with homemade apple crumb cake. Location was convenient to the train station and downtown historic area. The owners went out of their way to assist us with luggage storage and information. Hotel was located on a busy side street, but the closed windows blocked out a significant amount of noise. The rooms were suprisingly spacious and an excellent value compared to what we paid in Paris. A small, family-run hotel that I would definitely recommend for a family on a budget.

Great hotel! Clean, central and small warm hotel. Stayed there for 3 nights. Very central and near to city centre, restaurants etc. We stayed in Tours and then took daily trips to the various attractions around the Loirre Valley.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel in April 08 and found the location convenient - the museum, cathedral, chateau, river and restaurants were just a short walk away. The room was tidy and small but nicely furnished. We could hear other guests in the hallway outside from in our room, but it is a small hotel with not many guests so we weren't bothered. We were very happy with the quality of this hotel considering the price was relatively inexpensive.

This is an ideal base to explore the Loire Valley; five minutes walk from the station. It is also within easy walking distance of the river, the cathedral and the restaurants in the Rue Colbert. It is a lovely small hotel with very clean, nicely decorated rooms and a fantastic buffet breakfast, the best I have had in France. Well worth the €8. It is also very quiet - the only time I have ever stayed in any hotel and not needed my earplugs! Absolutely no traffic noise (it's in a quiet, one-way street) and no noise from other guests either, despite my room being right by the lift. Highly recommended, would stay there again.

We had a lovely two nights at the Hotel Manoir - had to enlist the expertise of the manager to park the car in the tiny hotel lot, which presented quite a challenge! The breakfast was reasonable and in a quaint basement. We walked downtown on both evenings and felt very safe. Beautiful city with a lot to offer and this hotel was perfect for visiting the Loire Valley and Tours.

This was my second time in Tours (first visit 25years ago!)and first time at Hotel du Manoir. I thought the hotel was in an excellent position and very good value for money - I particularly liked the breakfast, which had a very good choice including a delicious fresh fruit salad!

Fantastic proprietors, couldn't help enough. Free internet access appreciated. Breakfast great value for money. Very short walk to the Railway Station, and a nice stroll to the old town. Restaurant recommendations were excellent. I would stay there again even though the rooms and the lift are on the small side. Let the proprietor show you how to back your car into the courtyard for the first time as the gates and street are narrow.

Our stay at Hotel du Manoir was wonderful. The staff was very helpful showing us where to go in Tours for dining and site-seeing. Its very close to the train station and the Tourist info (which is great if you're going on one of the chateaux excursions).

Hotel du Manoir was the most interesting because of its arrangement in an old house and its lovely court entrance. It was in accordance with the first meeting with the historic center of Tours, even if it is not placed in that area.

A charming hotel and atmospheric hotel with friendly helpful staff which is located very well for good restaurants and the local historical sights. The rooms are not large or lavishly decorated, and the superior rooms are not necessarily superior to the standard rooms but they are comfortable and reasonably well-equipped.
