The hotel is located in a depressed area of the city. The decoration of the rooms is poor. There is a strong smell of smoke in the building and in the rooms.

Nice hotel. Service is good. They missed one morning wake up call though but I had my alarm on. Employees and owner are really nice people who seem care about they business. Rooms are not too big (well, comparing with US hotels) but quite roomy. AC helpes a lot especially summer time in toulouse gets pretty hot. Location is very good. About 5 min. walk to train station where you can get also bus to several destinations (for Barcelona use bus it is 30 euros and only 3.5 hours). To city center (capitole) is about 10 min to walk. Surroundings (couple of streets) especially after 10-11 p.m. are filled with homeless, drunks and hmmmm... one night ladies. Across the street a night dance club. May seem unsafe although didn't experience any problems even coming back 1-2 a.m. Overall very affordable hotel with helpfull staff close to everywhere. If you looking for budget hotel this is a place. I saw some hotels at the same street more expensive and not much different from this one I would go back and stay there. Any more questions you can email me.

THE HOTEL'S "GERANT" NAMELY ONE MR PD IS NOT QUITE WELCOMING. WHEN ASKED FOR HELP, IT SEEMS THAT ONE IS ANNOYING HIM. HE SHOULD NOT WORK IN A HOTEL IF ONE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IS MEANT BY HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT AND POLITENESS. ADVICE TO OTHER TRAVELLERS IS THAT ONE SHOULD BEWARE OF MR PD. ALL THE OTHER EMPLOYEES ON OTHER SHIFTS WERE EXCELLENT,WELL-MANNERED AND POLITE.

They didn't have the single I thought they did so I had to upgrade to a double. Everything worked! Could have done with a room safe. A bell rings every time anyone comes in to or leaves the hotel, which is annoying late at night! Only a few discreet street-walkers in the area.
