Excellent and reasonably priced hotel centrally located in Toulouse. No parking at the hotel, but there is underground parking close by at a reduced rate.

Hotel surpassed expectations and standard. It is a prize find in an excellent location. Above average size and comfort, remarkably quiet for center city. Would happily return and spend a longer time in a beautiful city that is too little known to international travelers.

Excellent hotel, perfect location. Very kind and informative staff. They booked our taxi in advance for return trip to airport and arrived promptly. Rooms were surprisingly spacious. Highly recommended for anyone looking to visit Toulouse.

USA, May 2009
This hotel was a fabulous deal. My room had recently been redecorated with laminate flooring and a flat screen tv. My brother's room directly above mine had carpets and an old-style tv, but was still quite nice. We had two balconies off each our rooms, the common areas were well decorated, and the staff was extremely competent and helpful. The breakfast was the best we've had in France. The hotel is located a few minutes walk from Place du Capitol. For two nights and two breakfasts my bill (in USD) was only $207.68; in euros it was 144.40.

The maps provided on arrival were an immense help in navigating this confusing area. The staff were excellent at offering assistance, ie taxi to airport, and printing boarding pass. The breakfasts were amazingly good; only quibble is coffee from a coffee machine instead of proper espresso maker or coffee press. Unfortunately, coffee machines seemed standard in the French hotels I stayed in, a real decline! But the selection of breads and other foods was the best I've ever had in french lodgings, hotel or gite, freshly sqeezed O/J was an unexpected treat, and the breakfast was worth every euro. The bedding in my room was very pretty, nice enough for home use, not the usual unattractive spreads on offer. I also had an abundance of towels provided. I asked for a quiet room and got one, a real plus for a tired traveller. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Very comfortable hotel. Only problem was that two rooms on 1st/2nd floor were requested, but we were given 4th floor. One room was changed, but we were on different floors. High standard accommodation for 2 star. Very central for Toulouse - go to the covered market at the end of the street and eat upstairs, sit in a café in place du Capitole.

compact rooms but very clean. helpful staff. good breakfast. close to major tourist atttractions. not particularly good if you have a vehicle but very handy for airport shuttle.i liked the fact the flooring was laminate, no smelly carpets, bravo! Will stay again

The breakfast room staff was particularly warm and welcoming. We stayed here only for one night, but enjoyed our stay. I have already recommended this property to friends, and we will probably stay here again. Our ONLY complaint was that there was not a lot of water pressure in the shower. Do not know if this was particular to our room (311) or all of them.

Set in a fantastic spot in Toulouse, just minutes from the airport bus. Great welcoming staff, who always liked for you to start speaking in French, even though you finished in English. Good rooms and breakfast. Just 200 metres from the Victor Hugo market. Check out the sunday market.

The staff on reception were lovely and the hotel was extremely well situated. We walked everywhere. The Basilica Saint Sernin was worth a visit, as was the creperie just down from there on Rue du Taur.

I wanted to stay somewhere cheap. i wasn't expecting it to be at all nice so I was pleasantly surprised by Albert 1er. The double room was comfortable and modern with a flat screen TV and satellite channels. The ensuite shower room was stylish, clean and bursting with fluffy white towels. The room was not spacious but I was only there a night and the all in all I was very impressed, would stay there again and recommend it to friends. A great budget stay for those with discerning taste.

This hotel was fantastic for the two nights we stayed. The room was great, clean and had a very new bathroom. The location was very central and easy to find. We had to pay for parking however the hotel offered a discount at a couple of nearby parking lots. The wireless connection was great and staff very helpful. We were given great advice on a few local restaurants/bars. The fee charged for a weeknight stay was higher than the weekend rates.

We spent just one night in Toulouse, and the city and the hotel was so nice and welcoming, that we are certain we're going back some time later. Very helpful staff, nice and clean room, and interesting shops and surroundings. Parking house for out car near by made the stay even easyer. We should reccomend the hotel to our very best friends and be certain that they would be satisfies.

Great location in the heart of town. Very organized and efficient hotel, provided us with a walking tour of Toulouse as well as suggestions for shopping and eating out. The rooms were small but well appointed and clean. Our room was in the back and very quiet but our friends had a room facing the street and found it noisy. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

El hotel es muy agradable, limpio y céntrico. Las habitaciones son pequeñas pero superan con creces las dos estrellas del hotel, además el personal de recepción habla español y son muy amables. El desayuno sería mejorable, muy normalito para el precio.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Albert Ier. The staff were extremely helpful, the location was great for what I was doing in Toulouse, the breakfast was good -- not just croissants and coffee. The room was small but adequate. The Air conditionoing worked. I returned 10 days later for 3 days and found it just as accomodating. They also had Internet support!

On the afternoon we arrived many of the roads in Toulouse were blocked off and locating the hotel became a trial, however on arrival the reception staff were very welcoming. The rooms were exactly as requested, king size beds and bathrooms with showers. The standard of cleanliness throughout was excellent as was the information and assistance provided by the reception staff. A most enjoyable stay and would certainly return.

A truly nice hotel. Very kind and polite employees, quiet and nice rooms. It's situated in Toulouse's center. You can park the car in Rue Kennedy or Hotel's street, or you have guarded parkings quite near, the Victor Hugo or Jeanne D'Arc parking. Very pleasant stay, I would reccomend this hotel to anyone.

I highly recommend this hotel - great value for money; helpful and friendly staff and high quality fittings in room. Could improve noise insulation on bedroom door though. They should make it clear that parking offered is not private and car park is about a 2 minute walk from hotel. Great location for seeing the city too.

I have stayed here twice for weekends and found everything that I have heard about this hotel to be correct. It is a really well run one star hotel in a great location in the centre of the city. The rooms are small but impeccable. The bathrooms small but modern. It delivers exactly what it says on the tin! This hotel is ideal for a short stay and is excellent value for money. I will stay here again!

Great location and convenient for the metro. Bit tricky to drive to but nearby multistorey carparks are close enough to the hotel. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Reception staff initially charged more than the quote I had but were happy to amend the bill to my satisfaction. Recommended!

If you arrive by train, DO NOT let the taxi drivers tell you that it's on a closed off street and they can't take you. They also said it's within a short walking distance. The street is not closed off ( but others nearby are) and it's about a 30 minute walk! The hotel itself is on a quiet side street very close to the main square and upscale shopping. The ladies at the main desk spoke Endglish and the early morning taxi ( 5:15) that they ordered was there on time.

Had a very pleasant stay here for 3 nights. Staff very friendly and efficient. Hotel is centrally located within easy walking distance of centre of the city, as well as the metro and bus station (for shuttle bus to airport). No car parking at hotel, but hotel has arrangements with 2 local car parks, with preferential rates. Hotel is situated in side street, but there is still some traffic noise. There was an air-conditioning unit in the room, which did not seem very powerful, but we didn't use it a lot during our stay. There is a mini-bar with a small selection of drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. The mini-bar also contained a safe, but this did not work. (Why do hotel room safes never work?) Breakfast is available, but we did not use this facility. There is no evening meal, apart from an option to take a tray meal to the room. We did not try this, either. All in all, a pleasant hotel which suited our needs for a good price.

Very clean and smart hotel and excellent value for money. Superior room (only around 10 euros extra) very nicely presented with everything you need. We chose this hotel mainly because of its central location which was excellent as its only about 1 minutes walk from Place Capitole. Would definately stay here again if we come back to Tolouse.

This was a very nice hotel in a convenient central location, also very quiet at night and easy to get there on the shuttle bus from the airport. The breakfast on weekday mornings (when I was there) was very good but only worth the money if you like a big breakfast. At weekends there is not so much but it is cheaper. I would certainly stay here again if I ever return to Toulouse.

STAYED 2 NIGHTS IN THIS FINE, CLEAN, RELATIVELY SPACIOUS ROOM AT A FANTASTIC LOCATION FOR SIGHTSEEING BY FOOT. 2 BLOCKS EITHER WAY FROM 2 TEEMING/BUSTLING PLAZAS. PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL STAFF; EXCELLENT (INEXPENSIVE) BREAKFAST. I WILL RETURN TO THIS HOTEL.

This was the best of the three hotels in out south of France trip: handy location close by Place Capitole, friendly staff, really nice room, good shower, generous supply of soaps etc, the TV worked, there was a safe in the room. The bed was a bit hard, but no real worries. Didn't try breakfast as it was extra and I prefer local cafes anyway. (If only the weather hadn't been so awful ...)
