We stayed for 2 nights for a quick tour of Toulouse before we continued onto the rest of our holiday in a gite. Excellent location - easy to get to from airport on shuttle bus and very central for all places of interest. Everything in easy walking distance. Very friendly and comfy.

Our small room seemed to be carved out of a corner of the building; it had uneven angles. It had a huge king size bed which took up most of the room. (Seems they only do king and double beds in France - a queen would have been perfect). We know there are large comfortable rooms from reading about the hotel in a guidebook. But this was in the new part. It's in a good location and was quite adequate for our needs for 2 nights. Breakfast was OK. Reception was also ok, nothing outstanding.

This is an excellent value for money hotel right in the centre of Toulouse and the multilingual staff could not be more helpful. The hotel has a wealth of tourist information and maps available at reception and the staff can also help with directions or advice. We were able to leave bags at the hotel when we checked out while we walked around the city at no cost and you can also walk to the rail station within 10 minutes with ease. An excellent hotel for all travellers including families with children. I would definitely return.

Your staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. I would especially like to mention Francoise and Hannah as two employees who went above and beyond what would be expected of them. For that, we are most appreciative. The rooms were exceptionally clean and nicely decorated and best of all, very comfortable. Thank you for a great stay at your facility.

Room was surprisingly small; bathroom was almost as big, very clean and bright. Get down to buffet breakfast early - they ran out of bread at 9:45; however, we were offered crepes instead, which was probably much better! Also surroundings only got a "4" because there was road construction in the area.

I was fully satisfied with my stay at Hôtel Albert 1er. The reception was friendly and the staff helpful. The room, though not large, was comfortable and impeccably clean. The hotel is ideally located at the heart of historic Toulouse; scarcely a minute's walk from le Capitole. Nevertheless it is remarkably quiet: I heard no exterior noise and very little within the hotel.

Our main issue was that we arrived at the hotel at around 1pm and were told the room would be ready at 3pm at the latest. When we returned to the hotel at 3pm we were told it wouldn't be ready until 3.30pm so we returned at 3.30 pm to find that the room still wasn't ready. We then waited in reception after being told it would take 5 more minutes. After 5 minutes we went upstairs to the room and had to wait in the corridor whilst the room cleaning was finished. The staff on reception didn't seem to think this was an issue. One of the ladies on reception (blond hair) was very helpful but the others were not.

3 minute walk to the Capitol and other attractions, 10 minutes from the station. Even though the room was very small for two people it was clean and easily accessible from the elevator. The breakfast was great and included fresh, hot crepes! Good selection including deli meats, lovely croissants and great coffee. The only drawback to our visit was the TV remote wouldn't work and the TV was mounted near the ceiling. All the staff could do was shrug and say they were sorry. We would stay here again.

Only stayed one night in winter. Location is excellent, walk to main square in 2 mins, parking very close (they have a deal to reduce parking cost if you ask at reception). Food market under the same car park is handy. Rooms were warm, triple had plenty of space and there was lots of hot water. Furnishing a bit basic but fine. Wish we'd had more time in Toulouse as it looked like a nice town.

I was very pleased with the accommodations. Room was small but quite adequate; good lighting for reading in bed. Best of all, the bathroom & especially the shower, usually the Achilles heel of even 3 star French hotels, was perfect. Quelle bonne surprise. Excellent breakfast, too. And very centrally located. Staff a bit uninterested, but otherwise I'd give this hotel 20/20.

Hanna and Erika gave 5 star service in 2 star hotel on first 6 days. Young man ( who didnt wear a name badge) on last day gave a zero star performance. Our flight was " volcanoed" we asked how he might assist. He made it clear he had no interest in our plight. They were fully booked. His attitude was its your problem- you could try next door was the best he could bring himself to advise. We went next door and the man there was 5 star helpful. He made many suggestions , explained where we should go and where to try and thanks to his advice we managed to find accomodation at 60% of the price we had paid in Albert for the two extra nights we were obliged to wait until our flights cleared ! . Room dark and pokey! Not great value at over €100 per night for a dingy two star. However apart from the last guy the staff were terrific, location is good although better value nearby!

Delightful staff and overall great value. I did not try breakfast as I was advised it was cheaper to eat out which is true, but, on average it was 5 euros to eat out for a small breakfast, so if your hungry eat in!! Just 5 minutes walk away is a great range of shops and restaurants and at the end of the road is the indoor market which had some of the best seafood stalls I have ever seen with superb restaurants upstairs that use the produce sold downstairs.....wonderful!!

This hotel was a fabulous deal. My room had recently been redecorated with laminate flooring and a flat screen tv. My brother's room directly above mine had carpets and an old-style tv, but was still quite nice. We had two balconies off each our rooms, the common areas were well decorated, and the staff was extremely competent and helpful. The breakfast was the best we've had in France. The hotel is located a few minutes walk from Place du Capitol. For two nights and two breakfasts my bill (in USD) was only $207.68; in euros it was 144.40.

The maps provided on arrival were an immense help in navigating this confusing area. The staff were excellent at offering assistance, ie taxi to airport, and printing boarding pass. The breakfasts were amazingly good; only quibble is coffee from a coffee machine instead of proper espresso maker or coffee press. Unfortunately, coffee machines seemed standard in the French hotels I stayed in, a real decline! But the selection of breads and other foods was the best I've ever had in french lodgings, hotel or gite, freshly sqeezed O/J was an unexpected treat, and the breakfast was worth every euro. The bedding in my room was very pretty, nice enough for home use, not the usual unattractive spreads on offer. I also had an abundance of towels provided. I asked for a quiet room and got one, a real plus for a tired traveller. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

If you arrive by train, DO NOT let the taxi drivers tell you that it's on a closed off street and they can't take you. They also said it's within a short walking distance. The street is not closed off ( but others nearby are) and it's about a 30 minute walk! The hotel itself is on a quiet side street very close to the main square and upscale shopping. Had a very pleasant stay here for 3 nights. Staff very friendly and efficient. Hotel is centrally located within easy walking distance of centre of the city, as well as the metro and bus station (for shuttle bus to airport). No car parking at hotel, but hotel has arrangements with 2 local car parks, with preferential rates. Hotel is situated in side street, but there is still some traffic noise. There was an air-conditioning unit in the room, which did not seem very powerful, but we didn't use it a lot during our stay. There is a mini-bar with a small selection of drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. The mini-bar also contained a safe, but this did not work. (Why do hotel room safes never work?) Breakfast is available, but we did not use this facility. There is no evening meal, apart from an option to take a tray meal to the room. We did not try this, either. All in all, a pleasant hotel which suited our needs for a good price.

Very clean and smart hotel and excellent value for money. Superior room (only around 10 euros extra) very nicely presented with everything you need. We chose this hotel mainly because of its central location which was excellent as its only about 1 minutes walk from Place Capitole. Would definately stay here again if we come back to Tolouse.

This was a very nice hotel in a convenient central location, also very quiet at night and easy to get there on the shuttle bus from the airport. The breakfast on weekday mornings (when I was there) was very good but only worth the money if you like a big breakfast. At weekends there is not so much but it is cheaper. I would certainly stay here again if I ever return to Toulouse.

STAYED 2 NIGHTS IN THIS FINE, CLEAN, RELATIVELY SPACIOUS ROOM AT A FANTASTIC LOCATION FOR SIGHTSEEING BY FOOT. 2 BLOCKS EITHER WAY FROM 2 TEEMING/BUSTLING PLAZAS. PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL STAFF; EXCELLENT (INEXPENSIVE) BREAKFAST. I WILL RETURN TO THIS HOTEL.

This was the best of the three hotels in out south of France trip: handy location close by Place Capitole, friendly staff, really nice room, good shower, generous supply of soaps etc, the TV worked, there was a safe in the room. The bed was a bit hard, but no real worries. Didn't try breakfast as it was extra and I prefer local cafes anyway. (If only the weather hadn't been so awful ...)

It was brilliant. I recomended it to all my friends. Excellent relationship between price/quality, and perfect location (right in the middle of Toulouse)

Very nice hotel, wonderful staff. The only drawback is a very expensive breakfast which included tasty bread but mediocre coffee, and not much else

The hotel is very comfortable, located in the very center of Toulouse, a walk distance from all central sites of the city.

Chosen chiefly on location and price - and it turned out to be efficient, friendly, and perfectly located for access to the centre, the airport and the metro. Very helpful staff and we would definitely return to this hotel.
