Hotel Le Jaures - Toulon

Hotel centrally located, close to the port and the train station. The room we got would seriously need some renovation. Staff very friendly and welcoming, but with a southern attitude when it comes to timeliness. We had to skip breakfast, as it was 20 minutes late compared to the official timing and we had a train to catch.

When we arrived, the reception area was empty and they left a phone number to reach them. They just didn't realize that, as foreign tourists, we didn't have access to a European phone. The reception was empty most of afternoon, which is weird. But the man was very helpful and kind. Our room was on the other side of the building and we had to go through an alley, which wasn't very reassuring at nightime. The stairs were very filthy (which they explained by saying they were renovating the hotel) and I hope the awful smell came from that. Our room was very clean and quiet, though. Overall, a very cheap hotel, I recommend it only for a short stay.

Just a little bit noisy but good

The staircase to the room in the hotel was quite dark, and it was not easy to carry luggage up and down the stairs because it was difficult to see where you were going and also because the staircase was quite narrow. The staff were friendly and we managed to make ourselves understood, even if we didn't speak the same language with fluency! Although not a reflection on the hotel, the area where the hotel is situated seemed quite run-down and not especially clean.

Excellent hostal,a real bargain,would use it again,friendly staff,and close to town too.

Hotel under renovation / reconstruction. Two different adresses for the same hotel (differnet buildings on differnet streets) made things a little complicated. Nice room, but not very efficiant air-conditioning.

Comodo da raggiungere (una volta capita l'uscita..), pulito, confortevole, bagno con bidet, cambio asciugamani giornaliero (anche se uno solo per tutto), colazione ottima anche se non abbondantissima, persone premurose, zona comoda per parcheggio auto, raggiungimento autostrada e passeggiate a Tolone: in una parola, ci tornerei di corsa!

Excellent one star hotel. Conveniently situated and quiet. Helpful and friendly staff. Useful for stopover on way to Italy by rail.

A basic hotel requiring upgrading however it was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I arrived at the hotel at approx 8pm after a long train delay, there was no-one at reception. Together with another customer waiting to check in, I waited 60mins, ringing the bell, calling out and checking in rooms close by but still no-one came to reception. Finally at 9pm I left and found another hotel to stay. I believe that this hotel should be struck off the excellent veneer.com service because it certainly does not deserve to be there. I noticed that the hotel penalised me with a no show financial penalty which I believe is unfair.

La via del porto al hotel ci vorebbe explicare. Molto difficile, da trovare l'albergo.

We stayed one night in triple room.The room was very clean. I would say the quality is very good for 1 star Hotel.I recommend travelers to book in Jaures Hotel, it is in the old center of Toulon, and not far from the port where you can find restaurants and animation by night.
