Thay should specify that there is NO ELEVATOR and NO AIR CONDITIONED. Thay put us on a fourth floor and we had to climb the stairs without any help. The photographs DO NOT CORRESPOND at all with our room which was poorly decorated, incredibly small and with just an old fan on a chair as an air conditioner. Very poor, even for the price.

A great property however the rooms were very small, there is no no air-conditioning other than a fan. As it was hot and humid, sleeping was a problem. The bathrooms were a reasonable size and overall very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room prices indicated at hotel receptions are often different from prices on your display.E.g.You note room prices"up to"a given amount. At hotels priceboard this will be the most expensive room available for your request.I have been for the first time to Toulon,on transit for Corsica. For this proposal Bonaparte is ideal.Just in front of the hotel you find a safe parking! We recommend this hotel for short visits, transit. The place is not suitable for a long stay, big familys or groups.Theres no air condition too, unfortunately. We wouldn't hesitate booking once again if opportunity occurs.

Very cute hotel The only problem was the fact that we were first offered a room on the 4th floor. Lovely room but couldn't manage to "sclepp"our bags up so many flights of stairs so we took a room facing the front (the square) which was rather noisy. Good breakfast, and excellent friendly service.

Fine once we had changed to a quiet room overlooking courtyard. First room overlooking street was noisy due to traffic. Also wouldn't have been spacious enough for a couple for a whole week. Luckily we were able to move into a vacant family room which was quiet and more spacious. However, you could hear noise from neighbouring bathrooms so being a late sleeper this woke me up too early several mornings! We appreciated availability of late breakfast buffet. However, hotel is not suitable for older visitors due to steep staircase and no lift. Would recommend the Naval Museum few mins away.

No elevator, the trip to the fifth floor was an adventure after a transatlantic flight and train trip from Paris

If you suffer from vertigo, this is not the hotel for you. There is no lift; there is a staircase spiralling aroung a very wide stair-well, with a useless balustrade (all cast-iron curlicues, impossible to hold or slide one's hand along) on the air side and none on the wall side. Also, since it is an early Napoleonic building, the storeys are very high. During a one overnight stay I climbed and descended the equivalent of 9 tall floors.

Brutta esperienza! Macchè 2 stelle, al massimo lo chiamerei dormitorio... VERY BAD HOSTEL!
