Hotel Oasis Tossa & Spa - Tossa de Mar

Loud disco till midnight, crowded pool with tons of little kids, unfriendly staff, broken AC with no remediation, quite far from beach, nickle and dime you with extra charges for everything. Breakfast good but served in basement. Recommend stay in-town instead of this overpriced "resort".

Lovely hotel in a lovely resort, Plenty of things to do and places to see. Nice country walks nearby. Recommend boat trip to see the caves. Beachbar on resort sea front open at night with lovely views of the castle, great for coffees and brandies. Hotel superb, restaurant excellent, first hotel where they served fresh mussels one night . Grilled sardines and tiger prawns were also on the "Show cooking" menu. An excellent hotel with good food. Not many Brits but don't let that be a drawback. Would stay again tomorrow given the chance.

Staying in Tossa for a long weekend with friends from the UK we drove to the hotel as we live in France. As they had already booked we had no choice of hotel and were a little anxious about write ups referring to noise and overlooked balconies. The hotel provides a locked up car park, which although tight for space was felt worth the money at 13 Euros a night given Spain's reputation for car theft/damage. Our room was on the top floor facing the front of the hotel. Whilst this meant we did not have any wonderful views, it certainly eliminated any possibility of being overlooked other than by next doors as there is no screen between balconies - so still little privacy. The rooms overlooking the pool would undoubtedly suffer more from noise - especially those on the lower floors, and would be overlooked in rooms nearer the centre of the hotel, due to its L shaped layout. The hotel was full while we were there but was generally quiet as there were mainly older people ( primarily Spanish and french). We only booked breakfast, which as commented by others, was quite good for this type of hotel.

We arrived late afternoon and were given a room on 1st floor in a corner which allowed everyone to see into our room. After dinner we returned to the room and found it unacceptably noisey due to the entertainment from the bar on the floor below. We requested and were given a much quieter and more private room on 4th floor the next day. I enjoyed the daily walk to and from the beach area, however my wife found it a little stressful on her knees towards the end of the week. I stayed B&B, breakfast was acceptable but I cannot vouch for the other meals. The daily menu provided suggested we had made a wise decision. Staff were very good and attentive. The lady receptionist with the large black motorcycle had a good sense of humour. However, when she is taking a private call on her mobile she might like to remember that it is the guests who are paying her salary and give them better priority. As other people have mentioned the noise level from adjoining rooms was noticeable but acceptable. The pool was very cold and not many people actually stayed in it for very long. The equipment in the gymnasium was not very well maintained and the exercise bicycle took 2 days to repair. All beds appeared to be singles pushed together to make doubles but with single sheets, these were not really functional. The last time I slept in a single bed I was quite young. They were also quite firm and it was not uncommon to wake in the night with "dead" arms. For a 4* hotel I would have expected a better quality of room fittings eg. TV. Rooms were clean and well tended by the maids.

Improve the meals, room service, very expense for the service done

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Hotel Oasis in Tossa. The staff were friendly and efficient at all times. There was a wide range of food available at both breakfast and dinner and the quality was most satisfactory. The hotel is situated only a few minutes walk from the beach and the old town and we felt very safe there. We were able to park our hired car in the streets near the hotel without charge.

My first time in tossa de mar, spent a lot of time in barcelona and just fancied somewhere a bit quieter for a relaxing break. the staff at the hotel were excellent, the bar staff (domingo, pepe and lydia) were very friendly and made us very welcome (and provided us with a constant supply of san miguel!) the only thing i will say is that if you're young singles hoping for a wild night out you may be dissapointed with the town itself (go to lloret de mar), but if you're looking for a relaxing holiday hopping between quiet little bars and meeting some of the friedliest locals you'll ever come across, then it's perfect, cheap flights from the uk to girona and about 16 euros for a coach transfer, and you're there! definitley going back soon! thank you to all of the staff at hotel oasis again!

The quality of the food it's really bad, but everybody who works there are very nice. beatifull town.

We were a party of 3 and unfortunately the double bed was in the smaller of the two rooms and the single person was in a larger twin room which would have been better the other way around. Other than that everything else was fine. A lovely hotel and excellent value for money.

No place to the car at the hotel .

Good clean efficient hotel,decent food and plenty of it.Staff polite but not especially friendly.Definately not 4 star but excellent value and child friendly.Not situated in the most attractive part of town and a bit crammed in between other hotels,even so we had a very enjoyable stay. Tossa is a lovely town.

I went to Oasis Tossa on with a large group of female friends and, although this is mainly a family hotel, they largely made us welcome. The rooms are in good condition, and the location is not bad if you don't mind a 10 minute walk to the beach. The hotel pool is too busy and if you don't get there early you won't get a sun-bed. The resort itself is really nice - plenty of restaurants, good shopping and some nice little Spanish friendly bars if you hunt around. Definitely a great place for a family holiday. I would go back.

Great hotel...went half board as it was the cheapest way to do Tossa, thinking I'd get an edible salad...but the buffet food was really good spanish food. Loved the hotel. Very clean, but could be noisey and sometimes we could hear someone other than us snoring! Full of Spanish families on hols...the sound of it made you feel alive. Tossa is a great place

This is agoodvalue 4 star hotel.The food was excellent and facilities as described.

A typical package holiday hotel, offering excellent value for money to the individual traveller - a double room for single occupation at 40€ with buffet breakfast! Room and bathroom excellent, and those overlooking the pool very quiet. The hotel is more urban in situation than the description and photos might suggest - nothing outside except the pool, but fine if you're out and about. Difficult to find due to one way streets - a better location map needed. Parking a bit difficult.Not many staff. But excellent value for a short stay, and Tossa is a pleasant family resort less garish than nearby Lloret.

Very clean throughout. Room cleaned and clean towels daily. B & B only but breakfast buffet above average with freshly fried egss etc daily. Soundproofing not great - especially in bathroom - could hear next door's activities!! Pool not very big - no parasols for sunbeds. Evening entertainment poor - "atmosphere" for shows in main bar area could also be improved. Despite these criticisms, overall a good 6-night stay.

The noise created by children in the swiming pool area after midnight was disturbing. The noise insulation between rooms was inadequate. There were no handholds in the bath area to prevent slipping when using the shower. The rooms are cramped allowing only one easychair The buffet lacked variety and quantity.

This is an excellent hotel offering spacious and clean quality accommodation in a picturesque family resort. The buffet food was also great and value for money is enormous. Our only gripe was the excessive noise from children in the dining room (we had no children).

Only stayed 3 days & no complaints. Hotel facilities are OK, but pool area too crowded.

The facilities were excellent. I had my 21 yr old son with me so half board meals were a bonus. There was a very calm atmosphere about the place. Unfortunately someone scraped my car parked just outside the hotel however the reception staff were unbelievably helpful in contacting Hertz on my behalf. I would definitely be inclined to return . No entertainment on the sat or sun night

Very good

One thing I would like to mention are the buses keeping their engines running for 45 minutes in an age, when the whole world is talking about global warming. I can understand it in July and August, when it is really hot and the air-conditioning is running, but not on a rainy October day. Hope, the person reading this has got kids and is not only loving them enough to buy them presents for christmas, but is loving them enough to try to offer them a healthy future. Thank you.
