Hotel Reviews Diana

The rooms are spacious but rather basic for the price but with wonderful views across the bay of Tossa de Mar. The hotel's majestic public areas boast Gaudi inspired decor that are very beautiful and spotlessly clean. However, the hotel is overated and not cost effective as other hotels along the seafront boast similar views at a lower price. There are no additional facilities at the Diana, the breakfast is not particulary good and the restaurant service indifferent. Also beware of the paper thin walls! Take a good set of ear plugs in case your neighbours are loud as you can hear everything in the next room.

This was our second stay at the Diana. The rooms provide great views of the Mediterranean, and the architecture of the building is fantastic. Breakfast was outside on a beautiful patio. What a great place to stay!

We liked the hotel Diana very much and want to come back one day. Excelent location.

The hotel public rooms are museum quality, very beautiful. The room we stayed in was ordinary. However, the bed was comfortable and the balcony was very pleasant overlooking the sea, the sunrise, and castle. Christian, the front desk clerk, was charming and helpful. He directed us to a fabulous restaurant for dinner. The hotel is near the beach on the backside. The main entry faces a square that is blocked off from car traffic. It was a bit confusing to find initially and to unload the suitcases.

A pleasant change from usual tourist accommodation, quiet yet bang in the centre of resort with beach/old town access only seconds away. However, the "Diana" is priced for its history without trying to compete on creature comfort terms.Staff seemed to have no affinity with the building, its Goudi style/connections were never referred to once.

Hotel Diana was a wonderful hotel with an amazing view of the beach. We had a seaside room and a spectacular view awaited us every morning. The hotel rooms are very nice and offer a seating area, plus a balcony on which to sit. There was a buffet breakfast every morning which was included with the price of the room and offered many different types of food. This hotel and Tossa de Mar had to rank at the tops of my "hotel and location" stay in all of Spain.

If you only stay in one Hotel on the Costa Brava you should stay in this one - as long as you don't want a modern feature-less box, that is. The building is several hundred years old, but just MAGNIFICENT, and has to be seen to be believed. Overall we had a very friendly and comfortable stay - virtually on the beach in a lovely resort.

On reviendra!!!

Excellent - a Gaudi-type place on the beach. I really recommend it.

Could not recommend this hotel highly enough. We travelled around Spain and this was our last night before flying out of Girona airport. I only wish we has found it earlier and had more time. Anyone interested in architecture and hotels with character should pay a visit. Why only 2* I will never know.

A perfect hotel on a perfect beach. Magnificent view. Very good food. The only problem is there is no parking within about one or two blocks.

Really nice rooms with sea views a little basic and the air conditioning did not work properly. The hotel building itself was full of character. Fantastic location onto the beach.

Very quaint, unique hotel in the middle of all the action, with close proximity to the beach, shopping, and dining. We had a corner room on the first floor that we loved- it was a suite with a huge balcony overlooking the patio and beach. The only drawback is that the room is located by the stairs and elevator, but it is still worth it. I'm definitely going to re-visit Tossa de Mar and will book with Hotel Diana.

An authentic, beautifully located place to stay--get a room with a view of the sea and you will think you've died and gone to heaven...

Beautiful and as advertised. Officially only 2 stars but at least 4 in my opinion, just for the great rooms and location. Our room was more the size of a small apartment. Breakfast was a good buffet and the hotel itself couldn't have been nicer.
