I stayed with my boyfriend for one week at Hotel Avenida, and we had a very pleasant hotel experience. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and neat. Location of the hotel was great, since you just had a few minutes' walk down to the beach or to the beautiful old parts of Tossa de Mar. Breakfast at the hotel was good, with a wide selection. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Avenida and would definetly recommend it to anyone else!

agréablement surprise par cet hôtel trés bien situé à 200 mêtres de la plage et 400 du centre historique on profite de tous les avantages de cette petite ville pleine de charme trés facilement en ayant des chambres qui sont au calme un petit balcon avec des transats pour prendre le frais le soir petit déjeuner excellent trés bon accueil de la part du personnel de la réception, du bar et de la salle de restaurant les chambres sont meublées de façon vieilotte par rapport aux parties communes nous avons eu une chambre avec une salle de bain minuscule qui était une sorte de couloir, chambre 102 problème: l'hôtel ne possède pas de parking et les parkings tout autour sont à 24€ la journée, il faut donc s'éloigner des alentours de l'hôtel et de l'autre coté de la grande avenue qui mêne à l'hôtel il y a un parking gardé a 5€ la journée

Our stay at the Hotel Avenida was one of the most enjoyable breaks we have had in the many years we have been married. The staff ensure a friendly and efficient holiday environment to suit the individual and all of them will go out of their way to help. I would have not have any hesitation in returning to the Avenida for another friendly relaxing break.

Loved the town and loved the hotel. It was very clean and fresh. Would recommend for the traveler going on a budget and looking for A STEAL.

Tossa de Mar is lovely and the Avenida is the perfect budget hotel. Location is brilliant literally 2 minutes from the beach. We went in October and it was quiet August would be differant. Even a 5 star hotel would not have been cleaner everything was spotless. Staff were fabulous very very helpful. Public areas have been updated and are very smart. The breakfast was typically continental but entirely adequate. The hotel is probably 1st generation package tour vintage from the sixties/seventies and the bedrooms are tired quite small, basic but adequate but very clean. I would certainly use the hotel again and recommend it to friends looking for decent budget accomadation.

good little hotel for a short stay. public areas all up to date, but the soundproofing in the rooms is not good, desperatly in neeed of double glazing and improved doors to rooms, take ear plugs !! also free parking is very difficult, and carparks and meters are very expensive

staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful; location within a couple blocks of beach and of town center was wonderful; Free parking provided in public lot a reasonable walk at edge of town -- no need for a car during our stay as everything was within walking distance;

Only nice things to say, except that parking can be a problem. The staff, reception to the cleaners were very friendly and extremely helpful. The quality of the equipment {furniture etc.) and decor was of a high standard especially that this hotel was only rated two stars. The buffet breakfast was excellent and not having a restaurant in-house did not matter as there is a plethora of choice within easy walking distance. On your doorstep a super beach,clear waters, great for snorkelling.

The hotel is perfectly located, close to the beach and the activities of the town. Staff was friendly with a lot of client orientation and profesionalism. It is a small hotel, so the service as a personal touch that we appreciated. Most of the staff would speak either French or English, which was very convenient.

Ci siamo trovati molto bene sia per l'ospitalità (tutti gentilissimi) che per i servizi offerti, ad esempio le colazioni sono state le migliori di tutti gli altri hotel visitati in questo giro spagnolo.Ubicato nel centro, a due passi dal mare, con la vista sulla citta vecchia. Consigliabile

Good helpful staff very clean hotel Good breakfast plenty of choice. No off street parking this is about 6 mins on foot from hotel. The steak house on the front very good meals,but you can shop around for anybody on a limited budget

We really enjoyed our stay at the Avenida. The hotel is close to the beach and closeby is a small grocery store which makes great sandwiches for picnics. The staff was jovial and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

an excellent hotel clean, well decorated. all staff keen happy attentive very helpful literally a stones throw from the beach and town but strangely in a quiet area. tossa is as charming and quaint as it was in 1969 with the developments well away from the beach and town. fantastic restaurants abound in all areas of the town. a very relaxed and peaceful time spent at the end of sept/beginning of oct 2007
